Raising of science and technology in education often used in learning process, one of which is th... more Raising of science and technology in education often used in learning process, one of which is the use of interactive multimedia. The development of maritime-oriented interactive multimedia is carried out to improve student understanding and increase learning outcomes, and also to increase number of existing instructional media. This study aims to develop interactive multimedia based on Articulate Storyline on Plantae topic maritime oriented for class X students in Senior High School. Development model uses Plomp (2013). This model has three stages; 1) preliminary research, 2) development or prototyping phase, and 3) assessment phase. The data collection technique were a questionnaire, test instrument, and interview. Based on research result, the overall validation results are 87.65% with a very valid category. This research aims to describe the use of learning media for science in junior high schools in an... more This research aims to describe the use of learning media for science in junior high schools in an integrated maritime context during the new normal era in Tanjungpinang City, Riau Archipelagos Province, Indonesia. The research was conducted by using a survey method involving 24 junior high school science teachers, and the questionnaire used was distributed through the google form platform. The results showed that 55% of teachers had not integrated the maritime context into science learning media because they are still not used to linking materials with the contexts, and not all materials is integrated with maritime contexts. However, some have already integrated it into the learning media such as the material for biotic and abiotic components of marine ecosystems, marine pollution and its prevention efforts, coral reef biodiversity, the application of Archimedes' law on ships.

Learning media is one of the important aspects of supporting learning processes. This research de... more Learning media is one of the important aspects of supporting learning processes. This research development aims at producing audiovisual learning media of hydroponic system on biotechnology topic which are valid and effective. The development model used is a modified 4D development model. The data collected came from the subject experts, media specialists, and teachers as practitioners in the field using the media. The data collection instruments were in the form of questionnaires and interviews. The data were analyzed by the using descriptive qualitative and the descriptive statistics. The study was tested to the biology teachers from twelve senior high schools by using a questionnaire based on the seven criteria (in conformity with the learning objectives, the learners, the characteristics of the appeal, the time of purchase, the media cost, ease of use, and the context of use). The audiovisual learning media of hydroponic system developed was categorized as the very effective learning medium (88.17%) in the high schools and fulfilled all of the criteria.

This research is a quantitative description research. Effectiveness is measured from cognitive learning outcomes and students’ interests. The instrument used to measure cognitive learning outcomes that is pre-test and post-test, while for students’ interests was using interest questionaire sheet before and after using media. The data obtained were analyzed using N-gain formula. The result of the effectiveness from cognitive learning outcomes was obtained from N-gain in the amount of 0.7 with the category “height increase” and classical learning mastery was 83%, while for students’ interest after and before using media with N-gain in the amount of 0.05 with category moderate increase”. The STEM approach is a learning approach that integrates aspects of science, technology, engineering, mathematics into a learning system. The method used in this research is the research and development (R&D) method with 4D model which has 4 stages of define, design, develop, and disseminate. Based on result of the research, it was obtained an average media validation result of 91,25% with the categorized “very valid”. So it can be concluded that the development of students worksheet oriented to the approach of STEM on the digestive system material for use in eleventh-grade high school students developed with the 4D model is very valid for later use in the learning.

Research was conducted at SMA Negeri 2 Tanjungpinang with a sample of 243 students. Type of research is an ex post facto research with a quantitative approach. The research data were obtained from a smartphone questionnaire and a learning motivation questionnaire. Based on the results of data analysis using SPSS for Windows version 22, the results show that there is a positive and significant influence on the use of smartphones on student motivation with a significance of 0,000 t-table is 6.832> 1960. The effect of smartphone use on learning motivation was in the very low category of 16.2% .

This quantitative descriptive study employed the cluster random sampling technique. The analyzed data were the students' critical thinking skills. Researchers collected the data using critical thinking skills test instruments in the form of description questions and open-ended questionnaires. Furthermore, the data were analyzed using statistical formulas in the form of percentages. Based on the data analysis results, the percentage of students' critical thinking skills score was 65% and was categorized at a moderate level. Therefore, the researchers concluded that students' critical thinking skills on global warming learning materials are moderate. Thus, there needs to be an effort to improve students' critical thinking skills.

Interactive multimedia can be a complement of teaching media in school and to make students easier to learn about Invertebrate. The type of this research is development method which are adapted from ADDIE, consist of 5 stages they are analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively, quantitative and qualitative. The results showed that interactive multimedia developed on the validity aspect was obtained from media experts and from material experts with very valid criteria. Based on this assessment, interactive multimedia is stated to be very valid to be used as a Biology learning medium in Invertebrate material for class X SMA students.

Beberapa kawasan mangrove di kota Tanjungpinang perlu diberikan perhatian yang lebih. Salah satunya melalui konservasi ekosistem mangrove. Kurangnya kesadaran masyarakat akan dampak rusaknya ekosistem mangrove di daerah pesisir menyebabkan permasalahan tersebut terus berlangsung. Oleh karena itu, dilakukan suatu tindakan seperti penanaman bibit mangrove di kawasan tersebut, sehingga kelangsungan hidup di kawasan ekosistem mangrove ini dapat terjaga kelestariannya. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut maka perlu dilakukan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yaitu penanaman mangrove sebagai upaya meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat dalam menjaga kawasan ekosistem mangrove dan menjaga kelestariannya.

This research method uses cross section method in which research is based on data. Data analysis was carried out namely quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis. However, education in Indonesia cannot be separated from problems. The problems that occur cannot be separated from the influence of all parties including students, families and also the community. In regulating the behavior of students, parents and teachers contribute to increasing positive values for children. Not only parents and teachers who play a role in regulating the behavior of students, the community also plays an active role in improving the behavior of students. The input stage is done by parents and the school, which plays an active role in improving the behavior of students and the stage of output by supervising the association of children in the community environment in order to get values that strengthen him in behaving politely.

In this study, the researchers looked at the level of the relationship between intrinsic learning... more In this study, the researchers looked at the level of the relationship between intrinsic learning motivation towards biology learning achievement of students of class XI science in SMA 4 Tanjungpinang. In this study, researchers used a sample of research consisting of students and students from class XI IPA 1 to class XI IPA 5, amounting to 84 students. The data collection techniques in this study used two research instruments, namely questionnaire and question instruments. The questionnaire instrument was used to measure the value of intrinsic learning motivation while the test instrument was used to measure student learning achievement. Based on the results of the Pearson product moment test, the significance direction is 0.00, meaning that there is a correlation between the above variables, then, the relationship between intrinsic learning motivation towards learning achievement produces a value of 0.50 which is categorized into adequate correlation.

One way is to develop teaching materials based on scientific literacy. To produce good teaching materials, certain designs are needed to achieve learning goals and can improve students' scientific literacy. Students who have studied chemistry should be able to analyze natural phenomena in scientific chemistry, one of which is marine pollution. This research was conducted to design high school chemistry teaching materials in connecting the context of sea pollution with chemical solution material. The method of this research is descriptive qualitative which refers to the Model of Educational Reconstruction (MER). The instruments used were standard competence validation sheets, text analysis sheets, and teaching material validation sheets. The results showed: a) The results of the indicator standard competence validation and learning objectives cognitive and attitude aspects, the results of text analysis and the results of the validation of teaching materials, all obtained valid categories, with the average value of each CVI was 0.91; 0.93; 0.94; and 0.95, b) The design of teaching materials include the contact stage, the curriculum stage, the elaboration stage, the decision-making stage, and the Nexus stage.

Therefore, the researchers concluded that students' critical thinking skills on global warming learning materials are moderate. Thus, there needs to be an effort to improve students' critical thinking skills.

Interactive multimedia can be a complement of teaching media in school and to make students easier to learn about Invertebrate. The type of this research is development method which are adapted from ADDIE, consist of 5 stages they are analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively, quantitative and qualitative. The results showed that interactive multimedia developed on the validity aspect was obtained from media experts and from material experts with very valid criteria. Based on this assessment, interactive multimedia is stated to be very valid to be used as a Biology learning medium in Invertebrate material for class X SMA students.

The type of research used is research and development with the Thiagarajan Four-D model which includes define, design, and develop. Beberapa kawasan mangrove di kota Tanjungpinang perlu diberikan perhatian yang lebih. Salah satunya melalui konservasi ekosistem mangrove. Kurangnya kesadaran masyarakat akan dampak rusaknya ekosistem mangrove di daerah pesisir menyebabkan permasalahan tersebut terus berlangsung. Oleh karena itu, dilakukan suatu tindakan seperti penanaman bibit mangrove di kawasan tersebut, sehingga kelangsungan hidup di kawasan ekosistem mangrove ini dapat terjaga kelestariannya. This research method uses cross section method in which research is based on data. Data analysis was carried out namely quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis. However, education in Indonesia cannot be separated from problems. The problems that occur cannot be separated from the influence of all parties including students, families and also the community. In regulating the behavior of students, parents and teachers contribute to increasing positive values for children. Not only parents and teachers who play a role in regulating the behavior of students, the community also plays an active role in improving the behavior of students. The input stage is done by parents and the school, which plays an active role in improving the behavior of students and the stage of output by supervising the association of children in the community environment in order to get values that strengthen him in behaving politely.

In this study, researchers used a sample of research consisting of students and students from class XI IPA 1 to class XI IPA 5, amounting to 84 students. The data collection techniques in this study used two research instruments, namely questionnaire and question instruments. The questionnaire instrument was used to measure the value of intrinsic learning motivation while the test instrument was used to measure student learning achievement. Based on the results of the Pearson product moment test, the significance direction is 0.00, meaning that there is a correlation between the above variables, then, the relationship between intrinsic learning motivation towards learning achievement produces a value of 0.50 which is categorized into adequate correlation.

One way is to develop teaching materials based on scientific literacy. To produce good teaching materials, certain designs are needed to achieve learning goals and can improve students' scientific literacy. Students who have studied chemistry should be able to analyze natural phenomena in scientific chemistry, one of which is marine pollution. This research was conducted to design high school chemistry teaching materials in connecting the context of sea pollution with chemical solution material. The method of this research is descriptive qualitative which refers to the Model of Educational Reconstruction (MER). The instruments used were standard competence validation sheets, text analysis sheets, and teaching material validation sheets. The results showed: a) The results of the indicator standard competence validation and learning objectives cognitive and attitude aspects, the results of text analysis and the results of the validation of teaching materials, all obtained valid categories, with the average value of each CVI was 0.91; 0.93; 0.94; and 0.95, b) The design of teaching materials include the contact stage, the curriculum stage, the elaboration stage, the decision-making stage, and the Nexus stage.
