Indeed, it is the scholarly spirit of the Golden Age of Islam that eventually inspired and paved the way for the intellectual enlightenment and the cultural awakening of Europe to take place, which ultimately gave birth to the European Renaissance and eventually, led to the making of the Western Civilization as we know it.
And, this book also attempts to find out, exactly what were those critical factors that were behind the Islamic World’s terrible failure to secure the leading role in the pursuits of science and scholarly brilliance in the post-Golden Age of Islam era, and how the Islamic World fell into its own Dark Age as Europe progressed with the light of knowledge. The very light that once made the Islamic World a leader in science and scholarship, and the era of the Golden Age of Islam a historical phenomenon!!!

And, in the process, the Muslim World became the global scientific and intellectual center, where these luminaries of wisdom contributed immensely to the progress of knowledge, which ushered the making of an era that the world now recognizes as the Golden Age of Islam, which is undoubtedly one of the most remarkable periods in the entire human history. And, focusing on the scholarly excellence and the scientific innovations that were brilliantly produced during the Golden Age of Islam era, this book, particularly, aims to discuss the various academic achievements of this period, like for example, in the field of astronomy, medicine, mathematics, physics, optics, engineering & technology, chemistry, alchemy, philosophy, geography, arts & architecture etc.
This book also discusses the various contributions of those great minds, the many gifted polymaths, scientists and academics, whose invaluable work that shaped up the thoughts and the intellects of the Golden Age of Islam and whose magnificent scholarly insights and ingenious wisdom contributed greatly to the making of human civilization as we know it. And, this book also rightly identifies the very legacy of the scientific and scholarly workings of the Golden Age of Islam era in the making of the European Renaissance.

And, with remarkable turn of events, from mid-8th century onward commenced this scientific and scholarly revolution that led to centuries of continuous, organized and pioneering research and firm advances in various fields of academia. And, this very period, during which these innovative scholarly pursuits, which ultimately created a remarkable body of scientific work, is historically recognized as the Golden Age of Islam, an era that lasted up to 13th century.
The Islamic World, during this particular era, produced a wealth of innovative scientific works, revolutionized the system of society and pioneered lasting economic, cultural and political development. And, it is during this time, the Muslim World became the center of global intellectual, economic and political sphere, where people from all across the then known world, traveled to Abbasid Baghdad, Umayyad Al-Andalus, Fatimid Egypt and Muslim Sicily, in search of a better life, and of course, for radiant scholarly wisdom. And, this book tells that story: how it all began and precisely why the era between mid-8th century and 13th century is considered to be the Golden Age of Islam, the most remarkable era in the entire political history of the religion of Islam.

The classic question of “Are we alone in this universe” has fascinated us for generations. According to the Hubble Space Telescope’s findings, there are at least 125 billion+ galaxies in the universe, and at least 10% of all sun-like stars have a system of planets, and there are billions of stars with planets orbiting around them in the universe. And, even a billionth of these stars have planets that support life, then, there are around 6.25 billion life-supporting solar systems in this universe alone!
Let’s understand the logic behind the possibility of extra-terrestrial life forms in this following way: everything that we know of this universe, are known to exist in numbering more than one, like for example, we know for a fact that, there are more than one stars, (more than one) galaxies, (more than one) black holes, (more than one) nebula, (more than one) solar systems, (more than one) planets, (more than one) comets, asteroids, quasars, pulsars, and so on. Therefore, if everything in this universe exist in numbering more than one, then, why there should be only one planet in the universe like that of earth, a planet that is perfect for the sustenance of life? If the very natural order that built and sustained this universe, where all that exist (and ever existed), thrive in billions and billions in number, then shouldn’t there be more than one planet like that of earth in this universe, the very cosmos where everything is in their millions to billions to even more?
Truth is, concerns over extraterrestrial life forms are as much spiritual as they are scientific. And, this book aims to prove that, the possibility of extra-terrestrial life is very much real and WE ARE DEFINITELY, ABSOLUTELY, AND CERTAINLY NOT ALONE IN THIS UNIVERSE!!!

This antediluvian force of nature shows no mercy as it moves along every path, every corner sniffing over its wounded and marks victory over one after another. Time mystifies us with the maze of moments and wraps up in the illusion that it would last forever. Indeed, some gets time and some even gets the time of their lives but as one stares at the clock know for sure that time is creeping in onto her/his territory. And with the fractured youth and battered adolescent, one finds her/himself feeble against the ultimate ambush of time as it calmly introduces the being to the prime truth of all. Tirelessly, we chase the days as we make it to the journey of life as we know it. The fixture of sunrise and sunset detonates the moments, and all familiarity seems like occasions held seconds ago. There is no escape. The mystic hands of the clock never greet one at the same spot twice.
But, what if we could actually travel back in time and into the future? There has always been a great deal of interest in time-travel. It has been the center of many science fictions. And frankly, who wouldn't want to travel through time and aspire to a part of this surreal experience? Through time travel and consequently with the aid of time machine, one can explore the different periods of time, both in the context of past as well as of the future and in that way, one can somewhat overlook the existent that is traditionally allocated to him/her.
The idea of time travel has fascinated human beings for quite some time and from scientists to writers to artists, everybody alike fancied the idea of time travel, pondered about going back to the past as well as take a journey into the future and ultimately unlock and master the mysteries of time itself. And, this book timely tells the story of the spectacular journey of the phenomena now known as Time Travel.
