It is flexible in modeling lifetime data. The mathematical properties which include moments, the shape of the distribution, Quantile function, hazard function, survival function, stochastic ordering, mean deviation, Bonferroni and Lorenz curve, order statistic, and Renyi entropy have been studied. The maximum likelihood estimation has also been discussed. Twolifetime data sets were utilized to demonstrate its usefulness. The results show that the proposed Doje distribution is better than Lindley, Ishita, Pareto, Chris-Jerry, Sushila, and Rama's distribution in the instances of the data used.

Plasmodium falciparum or P. falciparum is one of the protozoan species that causes malaria. In the treatment of malaria, especially in sub-Saharan Africa Artemether-Lumefantrine dominates the hospitals. The ED50 (median effective dose) is the dose of a medication that produces a specific effect in 50\% of the population that takes that dose. The new distribution has three parameters that make it both flexible and tractable. The distribution is called the Gompertz-Lindley distribution. The model's hazard function behavior was presented together with the properties of the proposed distribution. The parameters were estimated using the method of maximum likelihood. From the analysis, the Gompertz-Lindley distribution is better than the competing standard distribution in the instances of the two data sets deployed.

The proposition is motivated by the need to compare the efficiency of various classical estimation methods as well as the bayesian estimation using gamma prior at linear-exponential loss, squared error loss and generalized entropy loss functions. Some useful mathematical properties are derived. Single acceptance sampling plans (SASPs) are created for the distribution when the life test is truncated at a predetermined period. The median lifetime of the SHCJ distribution with pre-defined constants is taken as the truncation time. To guarantee that the specific life test is obtained at the defined risk to the user, the minimum sample size is required. For a particular consumer’s risk, the SHCJ distribution’s parameters, and the truncation time including numerical results are obtained. A simulation study is carried out for the bayesian and non-bayesian estimation of the parameters. Data o...

The study is motivated by the Shifted Exponential (SHE), Shifted Exponential-G (SHE-G) family of distributions and centred on shift parameter that is estimable. Some properties were derived. Estimation techniques namely; the maximum likelihood, least squares, weighted least squares, maximum product spacing, Cramer-von-Mises, Anderson-Darling and the right-tailed Anderson-Darling estimations are used. Two real data sets were deployed to show the usefulness and superiority of the proposed distribution relative to the parent distribution and other competing distributions. The weighted least squares estimator gave the best classical estimates of the parameters compared to other methods considered.

The proposition is motivated by Marshall-Olkin family of distributions and the oneparameter Chris-Jerry distribution. Some of its useful mathematical properties were derived and the derivation of the Pietra measure of inequality lends this distribution to wider application especially in income and population distributions. Two real data sets were used to illustrate the proposed model. From the results, the MOCJ distribution performed better than the other fitted distributions.

Uniquely, the reduction of the number of parameters essentially accounts for the parsimony of the attendant model. The study considered the Exponential distribution as the transformer and consequently obtained the New Reduced Quantile Exponential-G (NRQE-G) family. The Type-II Gumbel distribution was deployed as the baseline to obtain a special sub-model known as the New Reduced Quantile Exponential Type-II Gumbel (NRQE-T2G) model. Some functional properties of the distribution namely, moment and its related measures such as the mean, variance, second, third, and fourth moments were obtained. The Mode, skewness, Kurtosis, index of dispersion, coeffi cient of variation, order statistics, survival, hazard, and quantile function were also derived. The maximum likelihood estimation method was used to estimate its parameters. The model's credibility, applicability, and fl exibility were proven using two real-life datasets.

The distributional properties such as moment and the related measures including other characteristics namely quantile function, mean residual life function, Bonferroni curve, Lorenz curve, order statistics, stochastic ordering, and entropy were derived. Simulation study for both complete and progressive type-2 censored schemes is used to illustrate and analyze the behavior of the model. The proposed model's performance is assessed through a comparison with various other lifetime distributions using negative log-likelihood, Akaike Information Criterion, Corrected Akaike Information Criterion, Bayesian Information Criterion, and Hannan-Quinn information criterion on an actual dataset. The results reveal that, when modeling real lifetime data, the suggested model exhibits greater flexibility than the competing models examined in this study.

We derive the r th moment and particularly estimated the parameters using six classical methods and the Bayesian method. Results of the two real data analyses show that the proposed PSBCJ distribution is better than the likes of Marshall-Olkin Sujatha (MOS) distribution, Two-Parameter Lindley (TPL) distribution, Kumaraswamy-Weibull (KW) distribution, ZubairExponential (ZE) distribution, Lindley Distribution (LD), Exponential Distribution (ED), Pareto (P) distribution, Lindley-Lomax (LL) distribution and Lindley-Pareto (LP) distribution. The weighted least squares is the best method for estimating the parameters of the proposed distribution since the standard errors are the least among other methods.

The new distribution is a variant of the Rama distribution having a positive shift parameter. We call the proposed distribution Shifted Rama (SR) distribution. Mathematical and statistical characteristics such as crude moments, central moment, coefficient of variation, index of dispersion, conditional moment, mean residual life function, mean deviation, Bonferroni and Lorenz curve, and the order statistics are derived. Furthermore, reliability measures like survival function, hazard function have been derived. Estimation techniques namely; the maximum likelihood, least squares, weighted least squares, maximum product spacing, Cramer-von- Mises, Anderson-Darling and the right-tailed Anderson-Darling estimations are used. To demonstrate the applicability of the distribution, a numerical example was the blood cancer data from Ministry Hospital in Saudi Arabia. Based on the r...

For some acceptance numbers, confidence levels, values of the ratio of the fixed experiment time to the particular mean lifetime, and the minimum sample sizes required to assert the specified mean life are obtained. The operating characteristic function values of the proposed sampling plans, consumer's and the producer's risk are presented. Other useful tables are presented and the results are discussed.

Based on the determined domain of attraction and other major statistical properties, the proposed TPCJD seems to fit into the Gumbel domain. Additionally, it has been confirmed that the stress strength is reliable. The tail study suggests that the TPCJD’s substantial tail makes it suited for a range of applications. The study took into account the single acceptance sampling approach using both simulation and real-life situations. The parameters of the TPCJD were estimated by some classical and Bayesian approaches. The mean squared errors (MSE), linear-exponential, and generalized entropy loss functions were deployed to obtain the Bayesian estimators aided by the Markov chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) simulation. An analysis of lifetime data on two events justified the use of the proposed distribution after comparing t...

The statistical properties are discussed and the maximum likelihood estimation procedure is used to obtain the parameter estimate. The Convolution of the product of Pareto random variable with the proposed Chris-Jerry distributed random variable is explored with its marginal density derived. To illustrate the usefulness, three sets of lifetime data are employed and LL, AIC, BIC and K-S statistics are obtained for Exponential, Ishita, Akash, Rama, Pranav, Rani, Lindley, Sujatha, Aradhana, Shanker and XGamma and the Chris-Jerry distributions.

RIM is a mechanism of outlier detection that identifies the contribution of data points in a regression model. A BIC-based RIM is essentially a technique developed in this work to simultaneously detect influential data points and select optimal predictor variables. It is an addition to the body of existing literature in this area of study to both having an alternative to the AIC and Mallow's C p Statistic-based RIM as well as conditions of no influence, some sort of influence and perfectly single outlier data point in an entire data set which are proposed in this work. The method is implemented in R by an algorithm that iterates over all data points; deleting data points one at a time while computing BICs and selecting optimal predictors alongside RIMs. From the analyses done using evaporation data to compare the proposed method and the existing methods, the results show that the same data cases selected as having high influences by the two existing methods are also selected by the proposed method. The three methods show same performance; hence the relevance of the BIC-based RIM cannot be undermined.
