The focus of this research was to develop a sustainable Information and Communication Technology ... more The focus of this research was to develop a sustainable Information and Communication Technology (ICT) model in a Nigerian community, by evaluating ICT provision in South Africa’s disadvantaged communities and comparing it with the Nigerian situation; to identify applicable models and service mechanisms; and, to identify pitfalls and risks. This research was conducted by analyzing the problem from four points of view: ICT infrastructure, management, influencing factors and the risks of ICT provision in disadvantaged communities. A literature review was undertaken to discuss those issues. Four ICT centres were involved in the case study. This study aims to evolve a commercially sustainable provision of ICT in the rural communities of Nigeria. This study evaluated Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) disclosure in the most profitable comp... more This study evaluated Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) disclosure in the most profitable companies in Nigeria, a review was carried out on the annual reports and websites of the five most profitable companies in Nigeria according to the market cap list 2018. This research focused on the quantity and quality of CSR disclosures, provided by these companies. The method of analysis used was content analysis. The result of this study revealed that from the three dimensions constituting Community disclosure, Environmental disclosure and Human Resource disclosure, Community disclosure was the most disclosed dimension from the top profitable companies in Nigeria. Findings revealed that these companies disclosed a lot about the different CSR activities they had undertaken within the span of one year, but the quality of these disclosures were relatively low. This study specifically examines the combine impact CO2 emission, and Economic Growth on Energy Consumption. The study uses a dynamic panel data of esteem the time series analysis on 1980. Our result shows that Economic Growth is positively related to Energy Consumption. But when CO2 emission is interacted with Economic Growth the combine impact is increasing in energy consumption. The study therefore recommend that appropriate policy should formulated by the government to drive up energy consumption. Contribution/ Originality: The paper contributes the first logical analysis in the existing literature of the relationship between Co2 emission, economic growth and energy consumption. The study departs from other studies by examining the combined impact of Co2 emission and economic growth on energy consumption in Sub-Saharan African countries during the period of the study. There is also robust use of system GMM developed by Arellano and Bond (1991) which gave consistent and efficient estimates.

Considering the nature of the survey, quantitative methods of research were applied. In attempt to achieve the objectives of the study, several findings were made through the analysis of both the structured and unstructured questionnaire on the management of banks and the financial reports of the sampled banks. Finally the study recommends): The Central Bank should be encourage maintaining a flexible Minimum Monetary Policy [MPR] or discount rate so as to enable the commercial banks take advantage of the alternative measures of meeting the unexpected withdrawal demands, and reduce the tendency of maintaining excess idle cash at expense of profitability, the monetary authority should as a matter of urgency encourage and legitimate the use of credit cards and enforce cheque usage for huge amounts in the day to day business transaction, finally , interested researchers should dwell on the same area of this research extensively using a wider data and area of coverage.
