The thermal behaviors of these complexes were studied using thermogravimetry in order to evaluate their thermal stability and thermal decomposition pathways. The crystal structure of [ZnI2((2,3-MeO-ba)2en)] (1) was determined from single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The coordination polyhedron about the zinc(II) center in the complex 1 is best described as a distorted tetrahedron. Graphical Abstract Zinc(II) complexes [ZnX2((2,3-MeO-ba)2en)] (X = I (1) and Cl (2)) have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses (CHN), FT-IR and 1H-NMR spectroscopy. The crystal structure of 1 was determined from single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The coordination polyhedron about the zinc(II) center in the complex 1 is best described as a distorted tetrahedron.

Zn(II) complexes have been synthesized by reacting zinc acetate with Schiff bases derived from 2-... more Zn(II) complexes have been synthesized by reacting zinc acetate with Schiff bases derived from 2-hydrazino-5-[substituted phenyl]-1,3,4-oxadiazole and appropriate aldehyde (benzaldehyde/2-hydroxyacetophenone) and indoline-2,3-dione. All these complexes are soluble in DMF and DMSO. Low molar conductance values indicate that they are non electrolytes. Elemental analysis suggests that the complexes have 1 : 2 stoichiometry of the type [ZnL' 2 (OOCCH 3) 2 .2H 2 O], [ZnL 2 .2H 2 O] (L' = Schiff bases derived from 2-hydrazino-5-[substituted phenyl]-1,3,4-oxadiazole and benzaldehyde; LH = Schiff bases derived from 2-hydrazino-5-[substituted phenyl]-1,3,4-oxadiazole and 2-hydroxyacetophenone/indoline-2,3-dione) and they were characterized by IR, 1 H NMR and 13 C NMR. All these Schiff bases and their complexes have also been screened for their antibacterial (Bacillus subtilis, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Salmonella typhi and Streptococcus pyogenes) antifungal activities (Colletrotrichum falcatum, Aspergillus niger, Fusarium oxysporium and Carvularia pallescence) by reported method.
Coordination complexes of modified hydrazine bearing unit were synthesized with transition metals... more Coordination complexes of modified hydrazine bearing unit were synthesized with transition metals viz. Cu(II), Co(II), Ni(II), and Zn(II). The ligand amino benzohydrazide (ABH) was synthesized by replacing the methoxy moiety of methyl anthranilate with the nitrogen of the hydrazine ...
