Statement of the problem: The faith formation strategies are critical in determining the vocation choices of young catholic adults. However, there is scanty literature that addresses faith strategies that can contribute to young Catholic adult's vocation choices in Africa and Kenya and particularly within Nairobi Archdiocese. Research methodology: The study employed convergent parallel mixed methods. The target population included YCA group, moderators and chaplains from Ruaraka Deanery which is made up of 10 parishes. Non-probability methods, namely, convenience and census methods were used to sample 241 YCA participants. Questionnaires and interviews were the instruments used to collect the data. Quantitative data was analysed using inferential statistics (descriptive statistics and regression) and presented using frequencies and percentages in tables. The qualitative data on the other side was analysed and presented thematically using summaries. Findings: The correlation results indicated that vocation choices had a statistically significant relationship with faith formation strategies, r=.750, P<0.00 and the regression coefficient demonstrated that faith formation strategies positively influenced vocation choices (R = .563 squire, p<.05). The interview results indicated that faith formation strategies are able to influence vocation choices to a certain degree. Some of the strategies emerged from the discussions included a deliberate YCA faith formation program training guide to give direction to their faith formation, provide relevant themes, training timeframe and methodology. The parish Christian community to support YCA faith training and activities. Another strategy discovered is the appointment of chaplains who are interested and passionate about YCA.

It was in this context that Christianity and its liturgy developed. The Church is the home of the word of God. The sacred liturgy is the privileged setting in which God speaks to us in the midst of our lives; he speaks today to his people, who hear and respond. Every liturgical action is by its very nature steeped in sacred Scripture. The whole Christian life is a configuration to the Mystery of Christ and every event of his life (from conception to his Death and Resurrection) has to be reproduced in the faithful's life. The Bible does not become "living and efficacious Word" other than in the Mystery of Christ, i.e., the liturgy where it becomes actual reality. Evidently, the liturgical oral proclamation is and remains the place and the privileged means of contact with the Sacred Text. It is in the liturgy that we are given back again in its fullness the "living and efficacious" Word. This paper will therefore try to demonstrate the relationship between Scripture and Liturgy; how liturgy unfolds the power of the Word; how Christ reads and explains the Scripture in the Liturgy. Finally, the paper will demonstrate that the homily is the privileged locus for biblical orality.

The target population included the perpetually professed sisters, junior sisters in the leadership team (superiors, formators and administrators) of the monastic religious congregation of the MBST Nairobi Priory, Kenya. Questionnaires, interviews and focus group discussion (FGD) were the instruments used to collect data. The findings of the study in which both the challenges and the strategies were presented in a 4-point Likert scale and respondents were asked to indicate their choices from; 4=Strongly agree, 3=Agree, 2=Disagree, 1=Strongly disagree revealed that: With the challenges the use of ICTs pose to the monastic lifestyle (community life and the evangelical counsels); majority of them in all the 14 challenges presented, agreed and strongly agreed to them. Likewise the interviews and FGD had similar experiences with the same challenges. The strategies for coping up with the challenges too showed similar responses to a greater extent in agreement. From the study it is clear that, as monastic religious, the MBST cannot not afford to be alien to the modern means of communication as they are the chief means of information and education, of guidance and inspiration. Since they are unavoidably embedded in daily life, the religious consecrated should use them conscientiously and responsibly to become a factor of humanization, which calls for a proper formation of conscience.

The study employed a convergent parallel mixed methods. The target population included YCA group, moderators and chaplains from Ruaraka Deanery which is made of 10 parishes. The study employed convenience and census methods to sample 241 YCA participants. Data was collected using questionnaires and interviews. Quantitative data was analysed using descriptive statistical analysis and presented using frequencies and percentages in tables. The qualitative data was analysed and presented thematically using summaries. The study findings indicated there is a positive and significant relationship between faith formation programs and vocation choices in Ruaraka deanery (β=.633 p=0.000). The regression analysis showed that faith formation programs have a positive and statistically significant influence on vocation choices (R Square=0.395, P<0.000). The study concluded there is no uniformity in the faith formation programs training in all the parishes. The study also concluded that reference resources according to YCA members and the moderators lean more on the church teachings rather than providing holistic formation to enable YCA address both their faith and vocation needs. The activities were found relevant for faith formation and vocation choices. The study further concluded that both family and the community of faith form the most influential faith formation agents in terms of training, mentoring and accompaniment. Based on the study's findings, it is recommended that YCA groups across the Ruaraka deanery should be exposed to relevant faith formation programs that are capable of influencing vocation choices. Morality among the youth in the 21 st century seems to be at a crossroad, where matters attached to morality in society is on the rise in various parts of the world. This study focused on the Ethiopian Catholic Church Apostolic Vicariate of Hosanna (AVHO) and her role in fostering behaviour change. The study used Divine Command Theory that was modified by Robert Adams and a mixed design methodology. The targeted population for this research was a youth, priests, catechists, and parents in the Ethiopian Catholic Church AVHO. A total of 228 respondents participated. Of these, 142 were youth, and 68 were parents and selected in the non-probability sampling procedure and the purposive sampling procedure. The study used structured/unstructured questionnaires, individual interviews, and focus group discussions as data collection instruments. The qualitative data was analyzed thematically using direct quotes and narratives. The findings revealed that the Church had played a role in fostering positive behaviour change among the youth. The main types of undesired behaviour cited among the youth in AVHO included premarital sex, abortion, lack of respect for each other, disobeying parents and elders, indecent dressing, watching pornography, hate speech on social media, and addiction to different drugs.
