Because the cases are rare, the diagnosis is difficult to establish by routine histopathological examination alone. This paper reports a case of a 53-year-old woman, complaining of a lump in the left breast. The lump is said to have been noticed since approximately 2 years ago on the nipple. Ectopic decidua appears on the surface of the female reproductive organs and peritoneum; however, rare cases can be found in the appendix, lymph nodes, lungs, kidneys, and skin. Deciduosis is a benign condition that usually does not cause any symptoms and resolves spontaneously 4-6 weeks after delivery. However, an ectopic decidua involving the appendix wall often causes appendicitis and presents with acute abdominal signs. Methodology: The descriptive study of the case report type and the data obtained from the patient's medical record. Case presentation: This paper reports a woman aged 29 years with complaints of abdominal pain, like being stabbed in the pit of the stomach and then to the lower right abdomen for two days. A physical examination revealed tenderness in the lower abdomen with a positive McBurney sign. At that time, the patient was pregnant with a gestational age of 20-21 weeks. The patient underwent an appendectomy with the tissue sent to the anatomic pathology laboratory with the presence of decidual cells in the subserous layer and serous fat, and it was concluded as deciduosis of the appendix. Conclusion: Based on clinical and laboratory findings, the patient was diagnosed with deciduosis of the appendix.

It is reported that MBC occurs only 0.2 to 1% throughout the world. The metaplastic changes can be squamous cells or other mesenchymal cell types. Clinically, MBC presents as a large palpable mass and may be associated with rapid growth. The size of MBC tends to be larger compared with other types of invasive breast cancer ranging from 1 to more than 10 cm. Although there are several main categories of MBC, some carcinoma can be difficult to classify due to their unusual histologic patterns. This case report study is to provide a clinicopathological overview and approach to MBC.Case Presentation: We reported a 49-year-old woman who suffered from a breast mass that rapidly grew for less than one year. The microscopic findings showed squamous cell carcinoma. While molecular studies revealed triple negative results for h...

However, we have to move forward that other important aspects of research need to be continued, cancer cases as one health problem that we should have noticed. Because nearly half of the new cases and more than half of the cancer deaths worldwide in 2018 are estimated to occur in Asia partly because the region has nearly 60% of the global population. 1−3 One in 5 men and one in 6 women worldwide develop cancer during their lifetime. As one of the parts of the Indonesian Country, Bali had no cancer registry yet. Methods: Our crossectional study gathers secondary data of pathology reports from 2017-2019 and records clinicopathological aspects like age, gender, and cancer topography. Deregulation of claudin-1 homeostasis will play pivotal role in tumorigenesis, migration, and metastasis of colorectal cancer through a complex signaling pathway. This study investigated the association of claudin-1 expression and clinicopathological factors in colorectal adenocarcinoma. Methods: This study was a cross-sectional study of 43 colorectal cancer patients. Each clinicopathological parameter data was divided into 2 categories; depth of tumor invasion (T3, T4), degree of tumor differentiation (low, high grade), tumor location (right, left), sex (man, woman) and age (<60, ≥60 y.o). Claudin-1 expression was examined by the immunohistochemistry method and evaluated by H-Score method. The H-score cut off was determined by the mean value of 148. The difference of claudin-1 expression score with tumor depth invasion and age was analyzed by Independent t-test, and then the degree of differentiation, tumor location and sex were analyzed by Mann-Whitney. All variables were analyzed by the Chi-square analysis with a significance value of P<.05. Results: There was a significant mean difference of claudin-1 expression between T3 and T4 tumors (P=.041; 95% CI 1.7-75.1). Tumor with low expression of claudin-1 was 2.5 times more likely to be found in tumor with invasion depth T4 rather than T3 (P=.023; 95% CI 1.5-48). In addition, tumor with low expression of claudin-1 was 0.2 times more likely to be found in the high-grade tumor (P=.001; 95% CI 0.07-0.4). Claudin-1 expression was not statistically significant in different tumor locations, sex and age group. Conclusions: There was mean difference in claudin-1 expression between T3 and T4 tumors, and between low-and high-grade tumors. The low claudin-1 expression is associated with tumor depth invasion and poorly differentiated tumors. Therefore, the use of claudin-1 as an additional prognostic factor in colorectal cancer is proposed.

It’s a slow growing mass lesion which can affect both children and adult. The diagnosis of pedunculated lipofibroma can be confused with other benign papillomas due to their characteristic appearance. Objective: To define the clinicopathological findings of pedunculated lipofibroma. Methodology: Descriptive study as case report type, which use secondary data from patient medical record. Case presentation: This paper reports a 39-year-old woman, who has a slow growing mass lesion on her left thigh for almost 3 years. The lesion start impending her daily life due to pain and the lesion get bigger which make her get trouble especially when she wants to wear her jeans. The diagnosis of pedunculated lipofibroma can be confirmed by the histopathologic findings showing isolated groups of ectopic mature adipocytes within the dermis. Generally, the tumor itself doesn’t need any specific treatment, however the location and size aff...
