The analysis is done for electron microscopy applications, for scanning electron microscope it require vacuum atmosphere for viewing of the specimen. The specimen is to be viewed in vacuum. The vacuum level required for that is in the range of 93324 Pa, which is less than atmospheric pressure which lead to the compressive forces acting inside the chamber The vacuum chamber is modeled in Catia and Simulation is done in Ansys. Also theoretical calculation is done for safety of vacuum chamber against buckling failure. Also, shell analysis is done for considering the thickness of the vacuum chamber which is done by using Hypermesh.

In the present work, structure of the composite pressure vessel and different orientations of symmetric shells designed. For pressure were investigated and 3D finite element analyses using APDL Programming. FEA software is used for failure analysis on the composite shell of continuous angle ply laminas. The Tsai-Wu failure criterion is applied for the checking the first-ply failure of layers in a simple form. Some analytical and experimental solutions are compared with the finite element solutions, in which commercial software ANSYS 15.0 was utilized and close results are obtained between them.

These exchangers are associated with the chiller system where the where the tube-sheet-tube-ferrule assemblies are exposed to gasses at temperatures approaching 1200⁰C. because sulfur compounds are present in the process gas, the carbon steel tube sheet and tubes in the assembly will be deteriorated by sulfidation as the operating metal temperature rises above 800°C.Ferrule systems are used to protect the carbon steel from exposure to excessive temperatures. The temperature distribution in the steel tube-sheet-tubeferrule system is affected by process gas flow and heat transfer through the assembly. A computational fluid dynamics investigation was conducted to study the flame flow and Temperature distribution on tube inlet and ferrule. It was found that the configuration of the ferrule installation has a large influence on the temperature distribution in the steel materials and, therefore, the possible sulfidation of the carbon steel parts.

All trials are performed on 4-stroke, 796 cc MPFI S.I engine at injection pressure of 2.0, 2.2, 2.4, 2.6, 2.8 bar for constant speed of 2500, 3000, 3500, 4000 & 4500 rpm. During the trial compression ratio is kept constant at 9.2 with Maximum Brake Torque (MBT) spark timing of 15oBTDC. Optimum torque is obtained for CNG at injection pressure of 2.6 bar and 3000 rpm. Gasoline trials are performed at same compression ratio for comparison with CNG at same injection pressure. Performance and emission characteristics with combustion analysis are performed at optimum injection pressure of 2.6 bar.

Results are validated with ANSYS – Fluent - 18.2 software. The experimentation is done on the Copper fin tube length 1090mm with helically wounded strip width of 6mm and 8 numbers of fins per inch. Volumetric efficiency increases and work input decreases for Copper fin tube with air velocity of 5 m/s. The results shown increase in heat transfer with decreasing air temperature.

A simple, convenient and inexpensive testing methodology for scum reduction has been developed during span of project. In these research work the effect of canola oil, coconut oil and ENO studied on scum and foam reduction. Canola oil is found out to be the promising and most suited for reducing level of scum compared to the ENO and Coconut oil.

The principle followed in this paper was to enhance the damping capability, minimizing the loss in static stiffness through implementation of passive damper. The newly designed tool has been compared to a conventional tool. The evaluation criteria were the dynamic characteristics, frequency and damping ratio, of the machining system, as well as the surface roughness of the machined work pieces.

About 35 % of the fuel energy is converted into useful crankshaft work and about 30 % energy is expelled to the exhaust. From the few decades there has been an increasing demand for improving IC engines in terms of exhaust emissions, fuel consumption, power and efficiency. because of increasing fuel prices and growing environmental concern in modern society. The aim of present work to increase heat transfer rate from the heating zone in IC engine, for that transient thermal analysis have been performed on actual design of bajaj discover 125 CC single cylinder engine. Transient thermal analyses were performed for actual and proposed design of engine cylinder in order to optimize geometrical parameters and enhanced heat transfer from the IC engine. Result revel that the proposed design -2 of IC engine has better performance and heat transfer rate from the heating zo...

The reservoirs of such a petroleum based fuels are limited in the world. In recent time, the world is facing problems with energy crises due to depletion of conventional energy sources and increase environmental problems. Also, they are exhaustible and cost is rapidly increasing day to day. Hence, it is quit necessary to focus on an alternative fuels which are neither exhaustible nor harmful to environment and can be derived from the material available in the country. Recently biofuels is being considered as one of the most promising alternative fuels in internal combustion engine. Because it have low evaporation losses as well as it is safer for transportation and storage. From the past research’s it concludes that with the use of biofuels as a fuel in engines, there is remarkable reduction in harmful emissions as well as one will get the same engi...

Nation is also facing the fuel crises due to increase in Automobiles sector. The blends of Hydrogen and CNG have the potential to satisfy Euro V norms with margin. Experimentation on 3 cylinder water cooled SI engine with eddy current Dynamometer, modified to CNG sequential Gas Injection system with varying percentage of hydrogen by volume shown the reduction in emission and increase in power output.
