The researchers examined the main concepts associated with CSR and how it is related to the choice and the retention of customers to a specific bank. Qualitative research was implemented by the use of semi-structured interviews with 67 individuals. The purpose of the research was to analyze the extent to which CSR actions affect customers’ choices and loyalty to a bank. The main conclusions that emerged are that although the satisfaction and commitment, as well as the positive perception of consumers, depend on the trust created by the banks, customers in Greece still believe that the CSR actions implemented by banks only contribute to the increase in their organizational profits through the improved corporate reputation and recognition, and thus CSR has not a significant impact on customers’ attraction and loyalty. However, some researchers have since disputed this claim, arguing that while some strong cultures lead to success, others fail. Examining several examples over time, the so-called “case for a strong culture” presents significant weaknesses. The present study, based on the Competing Values Model, examines the effects of a culture’s strength on the organisational performance in the public sector. A sample of 92 departments of Greek public organisations was examined, of which a total of 424 people responded to an online questionnaire. The participating organisations and their departments range in size, in terms of the number of their staff, from 15 to 54 members, and come from different segments of the public administration. Communication in open distance education is multidimensional and since the most important form of communication is the interpersonal relationships, it is interesting to explore how the quality of communication is ensured when face-to-face meetings are replaced by teleconferencing in view of the current pandemic crisis. The research process that was followed is identified as descriptive-diagnostic, adopting a mixed research approach, through the collection, analysis and synthesis of quantitative and qualitative methods. Findings showed that adult students consider that the quality in communication requires the tutor to encourage participation, involvement in the process of learning and developing critical thinking. However, the respondents believe that through video conference there is not a high frequency of interaction. Therefore, it is important to investigate the effectiveness of other factors in the learning process in addition to the technological ones.

In this paper an alternative innovative blended teaching/learning model which combines the flipped classroom model with the differentiated instruction, implemented with the support of the educational technology. We propose a blended learning model which can provide more opportunities for active participation of students in the learning process as it responds more effectively to the diversity of the student potential of a class with the support of educational technology. This model combines the pedagogical model of the "Flipped Classroom" with the teaching strategy of "Differentiated Instruction", one of the most popular teaching strategies, which means that teachers adjust the curriculum for a lesson, unit or even entire term in a way that engages all learners in various ways. To investigate its effectiveness, an educational intervention in Vocational Upper Secondary Education was designed and implemented. The results are considered very encouraging, thus they provide the teacher with a more effective alternative way of organizing the learning process and give the students a richer educational and learning environment, adapted to his/her learning needs and experiences.

A qualitative method was used through 78 structured interviews with public servants, regarding the digital transformation and the internal factors that hinder the successful integration of blockchain technologies during the current pandemic. The results showed that factors such as employees’ training, organizational culture and leadership, in addition to the lack of equipment, had great impact on the adoption and the successful integration of blockchain in the Greek public administration. Another crucial finding is that public servants consider the current pandemic as an opportunity and not as a threat for radical changes and improvements in the provision of their services, while they also stated that blockchain technologies can imp...

The article also critically examines whether the NPM model is appropriate and the drivers that affected its efficiency and effectiveness in the public sector especially in Greece, during the current pandemic. The research concluded that the process of managerial reform and the specific criteria in order to evaluate NPM’s effectiveness are not completed yet and that there are some key barriers such as the statist perception of citizens and politicians, the corruption of public, the fragmented organizational structures, the resistance to change that hinder the success of change and of NPM’s effective implementation in public sector. However, Covid-19 was a situation that helped many aspects of NPM such as digitalization, digital transformation, e-governance etc. to effectively be introduced and implemented in public governance of Greek organisations.

In a simpler way, public value is proportional to the desire to maximize shareholder value in the private sector. On the other hand, public organisations are obligated by the law to ensure quality in public services to the citizens (Tsotsolas, 2010). From this point of view, governments across Europe face the challenge of providing more valuable, responsive, efficient and effective services (Tsotsolas and Drosos, 2010).
