Approximately 70-80% of people have experienced low back pain at some point of time in life. The annual prevalence of low back pain ranges from 15-45%. The major cause of low back pain leading to severe morbidity throughout the world that affects mainly the young working-class population is lumbar disc prolapsed. Various retrospective and some prospective reviews of fenestration disc surgeries orthopaedicvary greatly, with good results ranging from 46-97% and a reoperation rate of 09%. The present study was conducted to evaluate the results of single-level discectomy by fenestration method in Lumbar disc prolapse. Materials and Methods: Total thirty cases of lumber disc prolapsed treated with fenestration and discectomy satisfying inclusion and exclusion criteria treated in the Facility based tertiary care centre department of Orthopedics of Dr. S. N. Medical College and associated group of hospital, Jodhpur were studied. Results: In our study, Out of 30 patients majority of 25 (83.3%) patients showed good outcomes, followed by 04 (13.33%) patients had fair outcomes, and 01(3.33%) patient had poor outcomes. Total complications are 4 (13.33%), and the most common complication is superficial wound infection 2 (6.67%). Conclusion: By considering all aspects, fenestration, and discectomy is a better technique with the advantage of less tissue injury, good spinal function, smooth patient recovery, improved working status with early rehabilitation and maintained clinical efficacy This is an Open Access (OA) journal, and articles are distributed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 License, which allows others to remix, tweak, and build upon the work non-commercially, as long as appropriate credit is given and the new creations are licensed under the identical terms.

Methods: Twenty-four patients with compound long bone fracture (Grade II, IIIA, and IIIB) operated with initial debridement, fracture stabilization, and antibiotic coated beads. All patients were followed-up till at least 6 months. All patients were evaluated clinically and radiologically for functional outcome. Results: Seventeen patients (71%) were male while 7 patients (29%) were female. Mean age at the time of surgery was 34.5 years (Range: 20-70 years). Sixteen patients had fracture on the right side while the eight patients had on the left side. Sixteen patients had Type II compound injury (67%), five patients had Type IIIA (21%), and three patients had Type IIIB compound injury (12%). The average time of union was 16 weeks in 6 patients (26.06%), 12-14 weeks in 8 patients (34.78%) and 18-22 weeks in 9 patients (39.14%). Out of 24 cases, only one case had superficial infection, one case has deep infection, three patients had raw skin area, one patient developed post-operative knee stiffness, and another had 1 cm limb shortening. Functional outcome is seen as six patients with excellent outcome, eight patients with fair outcome, nine patients with good outcome, and one patient had poor outcome. Conclusion: The study concludes the use of antibiotic coated beads in compound fracture significantly reduces the infection in compound fracture of Grade II, Grade IIIA, and IIIB. Antibiotic impregnated beads delivers higher concentration of local antibiotics to wound site which helps in hastening recovery of wound. This reduces hospital stay and morbidity.

Methods: This study was conducted on 20 Patients with neck of femur fractures, who underwent mini DHS with 6.5 mm cc screw with biplane double supported screw fixation technique in the Department of Orthopaedics, Government Medical College and Associated Groups of Hospitals, Kota during year 2019–2021. Results: Out of 20 cases, 14 are male and six are female and age-wise distribution <20 years, one patient 20–40 years, 11 patients and >40 years, eight patients. Mode of injury mainly road traffic accident, Average Harris hip score 91.35, 15 patients (75%) achieved excellent result, radiologically fracture union was seen in 19 patients (95%). Conclusion: Although anatomical reduction is crucial, Mini DHS with 6.5 mm cc screw with BDSF-method ensures reliable fixation, early rehabilitation, and good functional outcome especially in a...

The study was done to infer out the efficacy of intraatricular steroid in shoulder joint in managing frozen shoulder.study encompassed 28 female patients, coming in Orthopaedics OPD of RBM Hospital and medical College, Bharatpur, Rajasthan.30 min post procedure 22 patients gained significant range of motion of shoulder with minimal pain. 24 patients completed their follow up of 6 weeks with significant overhead abduction and rotation.4 patients had limited rotationIntra atricular steroid injections in managing frozen shoulder is a cost effective, simple and safe method with clinical evaluation to exclude tendinopathy and radiography to exclude glenohumeral arthritis a mainstay before procedure.
