The circuit is simulated in GPDK 45 nm technology in Cadence environment. The simulation result shows wide tuning range from 6 GHz to 17 GHz and the oscillator can be used for electronic warfare application. It has also very low power consumption of about 3 μW. The phase noise of this ring oscillator is found to be -78 dBc/Hz @ 10 MHz offset which can be improved by using more number of stages.

The two stage CMOS VCRO exhibits very low power consumption and wide tuning range when realized using GPDK 45 nm CMOS process. The oscillator has a very wide tuning range from 6 GHz to 17 GHz. Because of its wide tuning range, it can be used for electronic warfare applications. It has also very low power consumption of about 3µW with a supply voltage of 1 V. The phase noise of this ring oscillator is found to be-78 dBC/Hz @10 MHz offset which can be improved by adding more number of stages.

Research paper thumbnail of Energy-Efficient Double Threshold Based Cooperative Spectrum Sensing using Intelligent Soft Decision Approach for Cognitive Radio Networks

Cooperative spectrum sensing (CSS) in cognitive radio networks (CRNs) enhances the spectrum effic... more Cooperative spectrum sensing (CSS) in cognitive radio networks (CRNs) enhances the spectrum efficiency by allowing the secondary users (SUs) to access the underutilized licensed spectrum without causing undue interference with the primary user (PU).The main objective of this paper is to develop double threshold soft decision fusion (SDF) based CSS in order to overcome the limitation of single threshold based detection by solving the contradiction between the missed detection probability and false alarm probability. Here, we consider the problem of finding optimal pair of transmission power and double threshold difference to improve the energy efficiency as well as to minimize the sensing rounds under the constraints of targeted detection probability and probability of false alarm by applying intelligent soft decision approach such as multiobjective evolutionary algorithms with fuzzy decision making. It is observed that multiobjective hybrid invasive weed optimization and particle sw...
