However, in recent years, a lack of good cultivation procedures and negligence has resulted in a significant reduction in its productivity. The declining situation cannot be controlled without the transfer of science-based knowledge and skills where Good Agricultural Practices have been linked to higher output. A study was carried out in 2020 to assess the perception of farmers towards Good Agricultural Practices and factors affecting awareness of GAP among mandarin growers. Altogether 100 households from Dhurkot and Chhatrakot Rural Municipalities, and Resunga Municipality from Gulmi district, were purposively chosen for the study in the command area of the PMAMP PIU Citrus Zone, and sampling was carried out using a simple random sampling technique. This study aims at carrying out the value chain analysis of tomato subsector in Palpa district. The specific objectives of the study were identifying the actors involved in value chain of tomato, finding out benefit cost ratio, marketing margin, producer share and value share of value chain actors, preparing value chain map of tomatoes and identifying the key strength, weakness, opportunities, and threats at different nodes of tomato value chain. Data were collected from primary and secondary sources. Primary data was collected by household interview, KII and secondary data was collected through published journals, research articles, reports of PMAMP, AKC and other government organizations. Data analysis was done using SPSS, Ms-Excel, and Stata statistical software. Goats are an integral part of rural farm households from the early days of civilization. Goats ar... more Goats are an integral part of rural farm households from the early days of civilization. Goats are the most popular ruminant animal, which provides employment to women and young children. Survey research was conducted in Chatrakot Gaunpalika of Gulmi district to access the socioeconomic factors of goat farming. The general objective of the research was to know the different goat farming practices and their contribution to household income. A total sample size of 120 were selected by using simple random sampling and 120 household surveys, 2 key informant interviews, and 4 focus group discussions were conducted to collect the information at household and community levels. The primary data were collected during Jan-Feb 2019 using a pretested questionnaire. All respondents were found integrated livestock farming and agriculture as a primary occupation for income. The average yearly income earned from goat farming was NRs.16, 540 (approx. US
