This study aims to increase students' interest in learning mathematics in class VIII E students of State Junior High School (SMP N) 2 Sanden, Bantul Regency using peer tutor methods. The type of this research is Classroom Action Research (CAR). This study's subjects were 28 students of class VIII E SMP N 2 Sanden, Bantul Regency. The object of this study was learning using peer tutor methods. Data collection techniques used observation and questionnaire methods. Data collection instruments were observation sheets, questionnaires, and documentation. The data collected was analyzed by qualitative descriptive. Mathematics is an important lesson to be learned and must be mastered by students. The purpose of this research was to analyze the effect size of the relationship between Cooperative learning method and mathematics learning achievement through meta-analysis quantitative research approach. Mentimeter is an online presentation platform that allows dynamic interaction between presenters ... more Mentimeter is an online presentation platform that allows dynamic interaction between presenters and audiences in a virtual space. One of the challenges of online learning is the difficulty of exploring the interactions between students and teacher. This is a problem for most mathematics teachers, especially at Muhammadiyah Junior High Schools in Yogyakarta City. This community service activity aims to train targeted mathematics teachers to be skilled at utilizing the mentimeter platform in synchronous online learning. The activity involved the Majelis Dikdasmen PDM Kota Yogyakarta as a partner. There were 21 mathematics teachers participating in the training. The training is carried out online using demonstration and practical methods. At first, none of the teachers were familiar with or used the mentimeter. After the training, 11 teachers admitted that they really needed the material, 10 teachers were able to attend the training well, and 10 teachers were interested in applying it in their learning. This means that training has a positive impact on the professional development of SMP Muhammadiyah teachers throughout Yogyakarta.

Pendidikan senantiasa beradaptasi dengan kemajuan teknologi. Di SMP/MTs Muhammadiyah se-Kota Yogy... more Pendidikan senantiasa beradaptasi dengan kemajuan teknologi. Di SMP/MTs Muhammadiyah se-Kota Yogyakarta, peserta didik dan guru umumnya telah memiliki perangkat android, namun belum dimanfaatkan dengan optimal untuk mendukung pembelajaran. Sementara itu, android menawarkan berbagai fitur pembelajaran yang menarik. Di lain pihak, banyak landmark di sekitar siswa yang bisa dimanfaatkan untuk pembelajaran namun belum termanfaatkan dengan baik. Pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan kepada para guru agar dapat menyusun soal berbasis aplikasi MathCityMap dengan memanfaatkan landmark di sekitar siswa. Metode yang digunakan berupa pelatihan dan pendampingan. Pelatihan dilaksanakan selama dua hari, yaitu tanggal 9 s.d. 10 Juni 2021. Pascapelatihan, peserta melanjutkan dengan kerja mandiri mengembangkan soal dan rute matematika di sekolah masing-masing dan pendampingan di SMP Muhammadiyah 8 Yogyakarta pada tanggal 24 s.d. 25 Juni 2021. Dampak kegiatan ini adalah guru mampu mendesain rute MathCityMap di lokasi masing-masing dan diterapkan di pembelajaran.

Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilatarbelakangi kondisi pandemi Covid-19 di mana guru harus mampu mengel... more Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilatarbelakangi kondisi pandemi Covid-19 di mana guru harus mampu mengelola pembelajaran secara daring dengan tetap memperhatikan pada konten pembelajaran. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan guru matematika dalam mengembangkan Subject Spesific Pedagogy (SSP) dan mengelola pembelajaran matematika secara daring dengan menggunakan platform Edmodo. Sasaran kegiatan pengabdian adalah 25 orang guru matematika di SMP Muhammadiyah se Kabupaten Sleman, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Metode yang digunakan adalah dengan memberikan 18 sesi pelatihan kepada para guru terkait materi dalam kepakaran TIK, memberikan 22 sesi pelatihan kepada para guru terkait materi pendidikan matematika, dan memberikan 20 sesi untuk monitoring dan pendampingan kepada para guru dalam mengimplementasikan hasil penelitian dalam bentuk pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran dan implementasinya dalam proses belajar mengajar. Setiap sesi kegiatan direcanakan berdurasi 50 menit, dimana di setiap hari akan diselenggarakan 8 sesi. Hasil pengabdian berdampak pada peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan guru dalam mengembangkan SSP matematika dan mengelola pembelajaran matematika secara daring dengan menggunakan platform Edmodo.

The aim of the training is to provide competence to mathematics teachers of Muhammadiyah Middle S... more The aim of the training is to provide competence to mathematics teachers of Muhammadiyah Middle School in Yogyakarta City in developing math problems oriented to Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). The training participants consisted of 23 junior high school mathematics teachers from Muhammadiyah schools located throughout the City of Yogyakarta. The training method used is through lectures, discussions and projects. In the lecture activities the lecturer delivered material about what was HOTS, the importance of HOTS, and the types of mathematical problems of type HOTS. After getting material about HOTS, participants held a workshop to develop HOTS-oriented junior high school mathematics questions based on basic competencies taught in school. After the questions are arranged, then analyzed. The impact of this training is that participants are able to develop mathematical problems of type HOTS.

Developing teaching material was one of alternatives to solve that problem. This study aims to develop the interactive multimedia-based teaching materialfor supporting students of senior high school in comprehend of trigonometry subject matter, namely Math Learn. This was an android-based application which developed through the stages of define, design, develop, and disseminate. The first step of developing was identify the problem and define the product will be developed. The next stage was design the storyboard as the guidance to develop the application. This application consists texts, picture, music, and animation. Two teaching and multimedia experts had validated the application. After revised based on experts' advice, the application developed was judged valid. It had been disseminated to mathematics teachers and students in senior high school. Teachers stated that this application was very useful to delivered concept of trigonometry in senior high school while the students expressed that it helps them in understanding the concepts of trigonometry.

The product was produced through the stages of define, design, develop, and disseminate. Two media experts and two teaching experts had validated it. They judged that the product developed was valid. It had been revised based on their advice. It has been disseminated to 15 mathematics teachers and tried to 30 students of junior high school. Teachers stated that this product gives a new form of teaching material in 3dimensional geometry. According to the student, the product is interesting. It can motivate them to study mathematics, help them to master the material and increase their interest in mathematics.

The result of this study shows that based on the result of national examination in junior high school start from 2013 to 2016, mathematics was the subject matter with the lowest in average score in three years last compared with three subject matters else (Indonesia Language, English Language, and Science). At that years, the average score of mathematics tended to decrease. Three dimensional, statistics, and probability were the most difficult to be understood by students of junior high school in Indonesia.

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan modul analisis butir soal dengan menggunakan sof... more Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan modul analisis butir soal dengan menggunakan software Item and Test Analysis (ITEMAN). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan model Four D yang terdiri atas tahap define, design, develop, dan disseminate. Modul yang dikembangkan telah dianalisis oleh 2 ahli materi dan 2 ahli media. Setelah dinyatakan valid oleh para ahli, modul diujicobakan kepada 19 guru dan 45 mahasiswa calon guru. Modul yang telah diperbaiki berdasar hasil uji coba, didiseminasikan kepada 31 guru dan 45 mahasiswa calon guru. Penelitian telah berhasil mengembangkan produk berupa modul analisis butir soal dengan menggunakan ITEMAN yang terkategori valid, efektif, dan praktis.

The aim of the training is to provide competence to mathematics teachers of Muhammadiyah Middle S... more The aim of the training is to provide competence to mathematics teachers of Muhammadiyah Middle School in Yogyakarta City in developing math problems oriented to Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). The training participants consisted of 23 junior high school mathematics teachers from Muhammadiyah schools located throughout the City of Yogyakarta. The training method used is through lectures, discussions and projects. In the lecture activities the lecturer delivered material about what was HOTS, the importance of HOTS, and the types of mathematical problems of type HOTS. After getting material about HOTS, participants held a workshop to develop HOTS-oriented junior high school mathematics questions based on basic competencies taught in school. After the questions are arranged, then analyzed. The impact of this training is that participants are able to develop mathematical problems of type HOTS.

Developing teaching material was one of alternatives to solve that problem. This study aims to develop the interactive multimedia-based teaching materialfor supporting students of senior high school in comprehend of trigonometry subject matter, namely Math Learn. This was an android-based application which developed through the stages of define, design, develop, and disseminate. The first step of developing was identify the problem and define the product will be developed. The next stage was design the storyboard as the guidance to develop the application. This application consists texts, picture, music, and animation. Two teaching and multimedia experts had validated the application. After revised based on experts' advice, the application developed was judged valid. It had been disseminated to mathematics teachers and students in senior high school. Teachers stated that this application was very useful to delivered concept of trigonometry in senior high school while the students expressed that it helps them in understanding the concepts of trigonometry.

The product was produced through the stages of define, design, develop, and disseminate. Two media experts and two teaching experts had validated it. They judged that the product developed was valid. It had been revised based on their advice. It has been disseminated to 15 mathematics teachers and tried to 30 students of junior high school. Teachers stated that this product gives a new form of teaching material in 3dimensional geometry. According to the student, the product is interesting. It can motivate them to study mathematics, help them to master the material and increase their interest in mathematics.

The result of this study shows that based on the result of national examination in junior high school start from 2013 to 2016, mathematics was the subject matter with the lowest in average score in three years last compared with three subject matters else (Indonesia Language, English Language, and Science). At that years, the average score of mathematics tended to decrease. Three dimensional, statistics, and probability were the most difficult to be understood by students of junior high school in Indonesia.

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan modul analisis butir soal dengan menggunakan sof... more Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan modul analisis butir soal dengan menggunakan software Item and Test Analysis (ITEMAN). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan model Four D yang terdiri atas tahap define, design, develop, dan disseminate. Modul yang dikembangkan telah dianalisis oleh 2 ahli materi dan 2 ahli media. Setelah dinyatakan valid oleh para ahli, modul diujicobakan kepada 19 guru dan 45 mahasiswa calon guru. Modul yang telah diperbaiki berdasar hasil uji coba, didiseminasikan kepada 31 guru dan 45 mahasiswa calon guru. Penelitian telah berhasil mengembangkan produk berupa modul analisis butir soal dengan menggunakan ITEMAN yang terkategori valid, efektif, dan praktis.
