Cybercriminals are abusing legitimate services to setup and maintain illegitimate business operations offering pirated media content on a subscription basis. Due to the underground aspect of these pirated IPTV operations, these services are not well understood and so current enforcement action against them appear to not be effective. In this paper, we empirically measure the network infrastructure, payment, and order intermediary services that are used by a subset of the infringing IPTV ecosystem. We demonstrate how the measurements we make in this paper give insight into the business behind subscription based pirated media. Lastly, we show how these measurements can lead to potentially more informed policy decisions and intervention measures against subscription based IPTV piracy.

This is done by performing an analysis of people's reaction on social media to news articles reporting these issues. Detecting controversial news topics on web is a relevant problem today. It helps to identify the issues upon which people have divided opinion and is specially useful on topics such as a presidential election, government reforms, climate change etc. We use sentiment analysis and word matching to accomplish this task. We show the application of our method for detecting controversial topics during the US Presidential elections 2016.

These knowledge resources (like WordNet, Paraphrase Database) may not exist for all languages. In this work we introduce a method to inject word embeddings of a language with knowledge resource of another language by leveraging bilingual embeddings. First we improve word embeddings of German, Italian, French and Spanish using resources of English and test them on variety of word similarity tasks. Then we demonstrate the utility of our method by creating improved embeddings for Urdu and Telugu languages using Hindi WordNet, beating the previously established baseline for Urdu.

However, despite the IPHS existence, coverage and quality ear care is questionable. Moreover, this issue has not yet been studied till now in the Indian context. The objective of the study was to assess the role of Private Medical College Training Center (Rural Health Training Centre [RHTC]) in augmenting quality of ear care services in NPPCD at district level by adopting IPHS Standards. Materials and Methods: A combined retrospective and prospective cohort study was done at RHTC of a Medical College in West Uttar Pradesh from January 1, 2013, to December 31, 2017, by retrospective approach of selecting all ear patients (n = 3840) and prospective way of assessing the impact of IPHS for ear care. The semi-structured Pro forma was used in exploring the coverage and quality of ear care. The data were analyzed by Epi Info version 7.2. Results: Out of total 4817 ear, nose, and throat (ENT) patients, the majority of ear patients (n = 3840) were initially dissatisfied with coverage and quality of ear services provided by ENT specialists at RHTC. However, when IPHS exposure was given from July 1, 2015 to December 31, 2017, not only majority of patients were satisfied (n = 3110, 81%) but also ear curative treatment was significantly higher (n = 2120, 68.1% vs. n = 130, 17.8%, odds ratio = 9.8, RR = 1.5, P < 0.00001). Conclusions: Adherence to IPHS in NPPCD is essential for delivering better ear care by RHTC through primary health-care approach.

We propose an algorithm to find a single quasi-imperceptible perturbation, which when added to any arbitrary speech signal, will most likely fool the victim speech recognition model. Our experiments demonstrate the application of our proposed technique by crafting audio-agnostic universal perturbations for the state-of-the-art ASR system-Mozilla DeepSpeech. Additionally, we show that such perturbations generalize to a significant extent across models that are not available during training, by performing a transferability test on a WaveNet based ASR system.

An aggregated market place is a single place where items from multiple e-commerce sites can be viewed and compared. Our main objective while recommending items is to provide users with alternatives across different e-commerce sites. To accomplish this, we embed items in a vector space and apply retrofitting, a method used in language processing to inject relationships into word embeddings. Due to recent attention towards item recommendation using only click data without any user feedback and our particular constraints, we test our model on real click data derived from Samsung Mall App.

Tapping on the pace of this evolution, socially active employers are transcending towards social media platforms and online portals for attracting and sourcing talent. What attracts these organisations is ease of access, continuous availability, spontaneity and transparency. At forefront of this change is human resources department, which plays the dynamic role of designing strategies for attracting talent digitally while making sure that the digital footprint of the company is constantly evolving. This research paper delineates the digital media presence of nearly 50 companies that are categorised in accordance of industry and employee strength. The paper further probes into the digital practices followed by a selected few of these 50 companies, by studying their efforts in social media, their approach towards change in recruiting policies, benefits derived and management level interventions taken to promote this change.

Diabetes mellitus causes progressive changes to the kidneys and ultimately results in diabetic nephropathy. Microalbumin measurement is useful in diagnosis at an early stage, before the development of proteinuria. Methods: This is a community based cross sectional study. The study period of 2 months, from September 2019 to October 2019. Adult between 20 to 59 years of age at the time of data collection from house to house visit were included in the study. A total of 138 diabetics were found in the community and accessed for microalbuminuria and other risk factors. Results: Prevalence of microalbuminuria among was 15.1%. Logistic regression model analysis revealed that micro albuminuria was significantly correlated with the diastolic blood pressure (p=0.003) and the duration of diabetes (p=0.001).Conclusions: Due ...
