A new algorithm based on Grey Wolf Optimization (GWO) and Factor Division method is proposed to a... more A new algorithm based on Grey Wolf Optimization (GWO) and Factor Division method is proposed to approximate a large scale linear time invariant (LTI) systems. In this technique, the Grey Wolf Optimization (GWO) method is worn to obtain the denominator polynomial and Factor Division technique is worn to regulate the numerator polynomial. The suggested technique assures stability of the reduced model if the initial high order system is stable and is commensurate in character with the other existing recognized techniques. The two numerical examples illustrates that the suggested method accord minor value of integral square error in comparison to other recognized techniques.

The Grey wolf optimization technique is used for finding the coefficients of denominator polynomial and the coefficients of numerator polynomial are determined by Pade approximation technique. This hybrid method assures the stability of ROM when the stable higher-order system is considered. The procedure of the recommended method is depicted with the aid of cases from the research.

Abstract: This paper deals with a battery energy storage system (BESS) and an IGBT (Insulated Gat... more Abstract: This paper deals with a battery energy storage system (BESS) and an IGBT (Insulated Gate Bipolar Junction Transistor) based 4 leg voltage source converters. Three legs of the converter are connected to each phase of the generator while the fourth leg is used to compensate the source neutral current. A star connected three phase capacitor bank is used for the generator excitation and the value of the excitation capacitor is selected to generate the rated voltage at no load. The proposed controller is having capability for harmonic elimination, load balancing, bidirectional flow capability of active power and reactive power by which it can control the system voltage and frequency with variation of consumer loads and the speed of the wind. The proposed generating system is modeled and simulated in MATLAB along with Simulink and power system blockset (PSB) toolboxes.
