A detailed investigation on rapid quenching of liquid lead base alloys for high performance storage battery applications was made in order to choose suitable lead grid alloys for lead acid batteries as melt-spun ribbons. S o this paper provides a comprehensive review of the physical metallurgy and mechanical properties of the melt-spun ordered alloy based on Pb, Egyptian grid battery, Germany grid battery, Pb-13.1wt.%S b, Pb-13.1wt.%S b-6.9wt.%S n, Pb-13.1wt.%S b-5.9wt.%S n-1wt.%Ca, Pb-13.1wt.%S b-4.9wt.%S n-1wt.%Ca-1wt.%Al, Pb-1wt.%Ca and Pb-0.5wt.%S n-0.1wt.%Ca for storage battery applications. The results indicate that the composition of alloys plays an important role on grid batteries performed. It is found that Pb-0.5wt.%S n-0.1wt.%Ca can be used to make the grids used for ribbon grid lead-acid batteries.

Present paper we are proposing that the designer takes some precautions while designing radiating element can enhance the operating band width. Here I concentrated on width of rectangular patch, whose dimensions should maintain higher than length will enhance operating band width. Present concept was designed in Ansoft HFSS Software. This present paper concentrates on applications of Electromagnetic band gap (EBG) technology that... more This present paper concentrates on applications of Electromagnetic band gap (EBG) technology that is operating at microwave and sub mm wave frequencies. Some of examples of Electromagnetic band gap configurations in the region of microwave are shown, that includes array antennas, high precision GPS, mobile telephony, wearable antennas and diplexing antennas. A 500 GHz dipole configuration and a novel heterodyne mixer are shown as examples for sub millimeter wave region. Some emphasis is also placed on EBG waveguides, high impedance planes (AMCs), resonators and filters. As most fundamental components would be available in EBG technology, a fully integrated receiver could be developed in order to take full advantage of this technology. This paper presents an analysis and design of a polarization reconfigurable microstrip patch ante... more This paper presents an analysis and design of a polarization reconfigurable microstrip patch antenna fed with single and dual feeds operating at WLAN frequency. For a single feed structure a square patch is designed first and is perturbed for obtaining circular polarization. Using PIN diodes this design can be made to generate different polarizations. In case of a dual feed structure the radiating square patch has dual feeding provision and when these dual feeds are excited simultaneously with a phase difference of 90°, a circularly polarized wave is obtained. Depending on the relative phase difference between the feeds different polarizations are obtained. The antenna is designed for Taconic (er=2.65) substrate and the simulated results of both the antenna designs are compared and analyzed. The paper presents a navel technique in designing of phase shifters. This technique is facilitating many advantages along with phase shifting, such as reducing mutual coupling between array antenna elements results reduction in overall antenna size and miniaturize the radiating antenna aperture. This structure also shields the components behind the antenna. This method helps in eliminating the use of active elements in architecture and tuning of its reactance with external control circuitry. This proposal is producing an inbuilt tunable capacitive reactance, which helps to steer the beam. For analysis, numerical technique of Finite Element Method is used. Multiple input multiple output structure is proposed to reduce the polarization diversity related issues. The designed antenna operating in the wideband with coverage in 5G band. The proposed model is showing huge bandwidth of almost 10 GHz with peak realized gain of 6.8 dB. Good impedance characteristics in the operating band with Omni directional radiation makes this model suitable for future communication applications.

Current article, presents the elliptical slot antenna design procedure for multiband applications... more Current article, presents the elliptical slot antenna design procedure for multiband applications. The suggested antenna covers L-band, WIMAX, WLAN and X band. By placing inverted T-shaped stub and three reverse U-shape stubs, the resonating characteristics of the antenna are observed. The resonating frequencies are 1.95, 4.14, 5.05, 5.89 and 9.15 GHz respectively. Proposed structure depicting better return loss (S11<-10dB) with compact size. Peak gain of 3.35 dB, antenna efficiency of 82% was achieved at all operating bands. Omni-directional radiation pattern along H-plane and bi-directional radiation pattern along E-plane are achieved.

Solid waste management is the thrust area. Of this various waste materials, plastic waste, tire w... more Solid waste management is the thrust area. Of this various waste materials, plastic waste, tire waste and municipal solid waste are of great concern. On the other side road traffic as well as traffic intensity is increasing. The load bearing capacity of the road should be increased. The present study is helping to take care of both these aspects. In this study developed techniques to use plastic wastes for construction purpose of roads and flexible pavement has reviewed. Utilization of waste plastic bags in bituminous mixes has proved that these enhance the properties of mix in addition to solving disposal problems. Plastic waste which is cleaned is cut into a size such that it passes through 2-3mm sieve using shredding machine. The aggregate mix is heated and the plastic is effectively coated over the aggregate. This plastic waste coated aggregate is mixed with hot bitumen and the resulted mix is used for road construction. The use of the innovative technology will not only strengthen the road construction but also increase the road life as well as will help to improve the environment. Plastic roads would be a boon for India's hot and extremely humid climate, where temperatures frequently cross 50°C and torrential rains create havoc, leaving most of the roads with big potholes. In my research work I have done a thorough study on the methodology of using plastic waste in bituminous mixes and presented the various tests performed on aggregates and bitumen.

Of this various waste materials, plastic waste, tire waste and municipal solid waste are of great concern. On the other side road traffic as well as traffic intensity is increasing. The load bearing capacity of the road should be increased. The present study is helping to take care of both these aspects. In this study developed techniques to use plastic wastes for construction purpose of roads and flexible pavement has reviewed. Utilization of waste plastic bags in bituminous mixes has proved that these enhance the properties of mix in addition to solving disposal problems. Plastic waste which is cleaned is cut into a size such that it passes through 2-3mm sieve using shredding machine. The aggregate mix is heated and the plastic is effectively coated over the aggregate. This plastic waste coated aggregate is mixed with hot bitumen and the resulted mix is used for road construction. The use of the innovative technology will not only strengthen the road construction but also increase the road life as well as will help to improve the environment. Plastic roads would be a boon for India's hot and extremely humid climate, where temperatures frequently cross 50°C and torrential rains create havoc, leaving most of the roads with big potholes. In my research work I have done a thorough study on the methodology of using plastic waste in bituminous mixes and presented the various tests performed on aggregates and bitumen.
