Material and Methods: A literature search in Google Scholar, Medline, Embase, Current Contents, and Science Citation Index yielded original publications from January 1946 to August 2021 in English using the keywords "lipofibromatous hamartoma," "fibrolipomatous hamartoma," "lipofibroma," "fibrolipoma," "macrodystrophia lipomatosa," "fibrofatty proliferation," "intraneural lipoma," "median nerve," "median neuropathy," and "peripheral nerve diseases." Conclusion: LFH of the median nerve is a rare condition, with 180 reported cases in the English and French literature between January 1946 and November 2012. One third of cases are associated with macrodactyly, with no gender predominance. Patients are often affected at or shortly after birth and present before age 30 years.

It is one of the phakomatoses and is often associated with port-wine stains of the face, glaucoma, seizures, mental retardation, and ipsilateral leptomeningeal angioma (cerebral malformations and tumors). It is characterized by abnormal blood vessels on the brain surface. Normally, only one side of the brain is affected. We report a case of 13 year old female child with facial port wine stains along with radiological features which showed tram track sign and cortical atrophy in the right parietal lobe.

Effective stroke prevention programme should be focused to improve the public awareness about the early warning signs of stroke, modifiable risk factors with prompt medical referral and treatment. Most of the awareness studies had been hospital based surveys, However there are less retrievable community based studies in India about the public knowledge and awareness of stroke warning signs and risk factors. Objective: The objective was to assess the public awareness in stroke which includes risk factors, warning signs and immediate treatment strategies in Mangalore,
