This study investigates the impact of mobile technology-mediated language learning (MTMLL) on the... more This study investigates the impact of mobile technology-mediated language learning (MTMLL) on the learners’ Balinese language learning achievement and autonomy. A quantitative approach research with quasi-experimental and survey designs was conducted. The data were collected through the tests and MTMLL questionnaire administration to fifty-eight primary school students in Bali, Indonesia. The data were analyzed statistically using SPSS 23 version. The results indicate that MTMLL has a positive impact on learners' achievement and autonomy. Participants reported that learners using MTMLL showed higher levels of achievement compared to those who did not use this technology. Additionally, MTMLL provided them with more control over their learning and allowed them to study at their own pace and convenience. One of the cultural activities which is interesting to be studied from linguistic point of view is tabuh rah or tajen (traditional cockfighting) which own unique vocabularies with its specific characteristics that cannot be understood by societies. The terms used in this tradition are property of Balinese language that need to be comprehended both from its own root word and the words that have undergone morphological process. Morphological process basically is a word formation process from its root word and the addition of affixation, repetition and reduplication, and pluralisation (Ramlan, 1983:5). Dengan metode deskriptif kualitatif, diuraikan mengenai media audio visual gending rare yang dapat menjadi media pembelajaran yang menarik dan menyenangkan bagi siswa dalam belajar aksara Bali. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah manajemen pembelajaran bahasa Bali melalui media audio visual gending rare dengan melalui tahapan pelaksanaan, perencanaan dan evaluasi.

Oral tradition According to Hoed (2008: 184) is a variety of knowledge and customs that have been... more Oral tradition According to Hoed (2008: 184) is a variety of knowledge and customs that have been passed down from generation to generation orally. Hoed's affirmation has a close relationship with the definition of oral tradition conveyed by Albert Lord, both of which focus on the hereditary process of using orality as the medium. Lord defines oral tradition as something that is spoken in society. The speaker does not write down what he says but speaks it, and the recipient does not read it, but hears (1995: 1). One of the forms of the oral tradition is the traditional games of majaran-jaranan and makering endut in Banyuning Singaraja Village. It contains four meanings as a medium for character formation including a) meaning related to religious elements; b) meaning related to human beings; c) meaning related to the service of the State / love for the country; d) meaning related to human personality. Terutama masyarakat bali yang notabene adalah masyarkat agraris telah berubah menjadi masyarakat industry yang menggantungkan hidupnya dibidang industry pariwisata. Hal terubut secara berangsur telah merubah pradigma masyarkat terhadap keberadaan Aksara, Bahasa dan Sastra Bali yang mulai ditinggalkan. Sebagai pendidik perlu melakukan berbagai tindakan dalam pengajaran Aksara, Bahasa dan Sastra Bali. Diantaranya adalah memiliki keterampilan berkomunikasi, menguasai teknologi, mengajar dengan inovatif dan mengembangkan bahan ajar yang actual. Dengan menerapkan hal itu diharapkan keberadaan Aksara, Bahasa dan Sastra Bali menjadi diminati oleh kalangan muda yang lahir dan tumbuh pada diera industry 4.0
This study aims to determine the increase in activeness and learning achievement of science stude... more This study aims to determine the increase in activeness and learning achievement of science students in fifth grade elementary school after applying contextual learning models. This research is Classroom Action Research. The subjects of this study were 24 students of Class V of SDN 1 Agung Package. The object of this research is the activeness and learning achievement of science. Activity data was collected using a questionnaire and data on learning achievement were collected by tests. Activity data and learning achievement were analyzed by quantitative descriptive analysis methods. The analysis showed that the average activity in the first cycle of 40% had increased in Cycle II to 83%. The average student learning achievement in the first cycle to an average class (M) of 66, absorbency (DS) of 66% and mastery learning (KB) of 69% have increased in Cycle II with an average class (M) by 80, absorption (DS) by 80% and mastery learning (KB) by 100%. In the study of cultural linguistics, linguistic symbol is always associated with the elements of culture itself, such as religious system, knowledge system, equipment system, livelihood system, social system and the art system. One of linguistic expression in Balinese culture is cecek which is not only considered as animal, but also associated with the religious system of the Hindu community as a symbol of beginning of knowledge. This research will explore further the cultural interpretation of Cecek among Balinese people especially related with the correlation between the study of language and culture. Communication occurs, both verbally and nonverbally, namely by writing, reading, and signs or symbols. The language acquisition requires a process according to the stages of age. The purpose of this study was to determine the comparison of Balinese language development between two children aged 0-3 years, namely Juna and Bayu in terms of phonological development. This research used observation and interview methods to gather data from Juna and Bayu families in terms of how they arranged words and sentences correctly and the interaction with their families.
