Thus, cars can perform more complex operations by including ECUs with multiple cores, which can now provide multiple active safety features like real-time traffic sign detection using powerful cameras, obstacle detection using radar systems and more often highly automated cars.

Radar sensors are key components in developing vehicles of the future, therefore these devices are used in a large spectrum of applications, where data traffic is of paramount importance. As a result, communication traffic volumes have become more complex, leading to the research of optimization approaches to be applied at the AUTOSAR level. Our paper offers such an optimization solution at the AUTOSAR communication level. The radar sensor is accessed in a remote manner, and the experiments aimed at performance measurements revealed that our solution is superior to the Full AUTOSAR implementation in terms of memory usage and runtime measurements.

We report cross sections and Maxwellian rate coefficients of both rotational and vibrational transitions, and outline several important features, like isotopic, rotational and resonant effects.

The patient will have a real time information if their treatment/prescription is available in the pharmacy. Using a cloud solution will have all the information always available and without delays, the only requirement is the Internet connectivity. Using standardized communication as HL7 FHIR, the information exchanged is easier understanded by different medical units, and in the future other medical units can access the patient treatment/prescription and have a medical history, in this way the patient will receive better quality in treatment and health care.

At the level of the revolution gear of the extraction machine, in time, damage to the gears' teeth has appeared, a phenomenon which manifests continually, without having a specific cyclicality, but permanently evolving. The breaking of the teeth of the gear's gears in the extreme areas of the dentition – areas that before breaking had a wear accented by contact usury (pitting) - is a deterioration phenomenon that depends on many factors, such as: the material of the gears, the size and the geometrical and kinematic elements of the dentition, the characteristics of the flanks' surface, the mechanical solicitations, the oiling and the quality of the lubricant. These problems that appeared regarding the exploitation of the reducer of the extraction machine lead to the decrease of functioning safety, and even to its halting. In...

Cable connecting devices connect winding installation cables to extraction vessels. Depending on their design, connecting cables can be: with loop and core, self-tightening with wedged core on one or both sides; with hinged jaw; with cone-shaped friction wedges; with wedges and bridles. The paper presents an analysis of flat metal cable connecting devices.

The transmission is made without the modification of the value or the direction of movement. In some situations, couplings are conceived in such a way that they ensure the protection against solicitation at overload or to maintain the link only between certain speed limits. In this work, we show the study of the possibility of using a safety coupling with balls at the rotation gear of the excavator with rotor.

Any malfunction of the extraction machine can lead to important production losses and to the endangerment of the state of security and safety of both the deposit and the working staff. Over the years, in the case of the wheel of the extraction machine, we had fissures in the welding chain of the pap and fissures of the stiffening ribs of the braking disc, which have evolved in time in what regards dimensions and number. To eliminate these fissures, we undertook operations of reparation, by removing and restoring the welding chains in the affected areas of the wheel. In order to determine the causes of the cracking of the welding chains, and in order to guarantee the good functioning of the extraction machine, we undertook a study to check the solici...

This was amplified once profit initiatives like Coursera and Udacity joined their forces with renowned universities like Stanford, Harvard and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. This paper presents a modality of integrating Embedded Systems MOOCs into blended courses, but at the same time it provides an evaluation of this approach: the sentiment analysis technique. Such an evaluation not only reveals the polarity, but also valuable insights into improving the course content and integration of MOOCs into the intricacies of teaching embedded systems.

The same preoccupation for the cost of the course is revealed, but this time the fact that MOOCs are free is appreciated. Students perceive that an integration of MOOCs into blended courses leads to a rapid information of the topics, such a feature receiving a high positive score of +3.46. The detailed explanations in this blended approach received a positive impact from the students with a total score of +2.70, but also the gained knowledge is among the most highly rated corpus themes.

What is interesting to note here are the keywords extracted from students' feedback. They noticed the integration of MOOCs in the Embedded Systems course as positive due to the fact that the new information is perceived as easier and the gained knowledge seems to be valuable. Students are affected by too many concepts and also by the idea of paying for the course.

In a competitive business world, the challenge of providing a balance between the efficiency and wellbeing of employees may be supported with new technologies. This paper presents the work undertaken to build the architecture needed to integrate voice assistants into smart offices in order to support employees in their daily activities, like ambient control, attendance system and reporting, but also interacting with project management services used for planning, issue tracking, and reporting. Our research tries to understand what are the most accepted tasks to be performed with the help of voice assistants in a smart office environment, by analyzing the system based on task completion and sentiment analysis.
