The present research aims to verify the implementation of a cooperative-contrastive model that ca... more The present research aims to verify the implementation of a cooperative-contrastive model that can overcome students' difficulties in translating texts from English into Indonesian. The study was conducted by a lecturer-researcher who involved 31 students who took Translation II subject. The duration of the research was two months and took place at the English Education program of Batanghari University. The main finding of the research is that the contrastive-cooperative model does not boast promising results in overcoming students' difficulties in translating texts from English into Indonesian. On the contrary, the approach lends itself to new problems in the students' translation. Hence, the lecturer-researcher tried to overcome the difficulties by training the students with some techniques, such as substitution, description, expansion, and transposition.

Latar belakang: Tujuan Penelitian melalui manajemen pengelolaan program keaksaraan fungsional pus... more Latar belakang: Tujuan Penelitian melalui manajemen pengelolaan program keaksaraan fungsional pusat kegiatan belajar mengajar masyarakat mewujudkan masyarakat yang berdaya guna, beraksara, cerdas, dan mandiri melalui pendidikan. Manfaat langsung yang dirasakan masyarakat tidak hanya peningkatan pelayanan pengelolaan program pendidikan keaksaraan fungsional dalam pemberantasan buta aksara tetapi juga meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan serta, pendapatan masyarakat warga belajar. Selain itu, kegiatan ini berdapak pada pembangunan sumber daya manusia secara masiv yang diharapkan dapat mengelola kehidupan masyarakat dengan baik di masa yang akan datang, Metode penelitian: Metode yang akan dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah lokakarya manajemen pengelolaan program pendidikan keaksaraan fungsional. Kegiatan lokakarya dilaksanakan melalui mekanisme ceramah, diskusi dan praktek. Hasil penelitian: Ceramah dan diskusi umum bertujuan untuk menjelaskan tentang manajemen teknis dan manajemen administrasi pengelolaan program Pendidikan keaksaraan fungsional yang mecakup: Perencanaan Program, Pengorganisasian, Pengarahan, Pengkoordinasian, Pengkomunikasian, Pengontrolan serta pengadministrasian. Materi praktek mencakup penyusunan program tahunan, program semester, program bulanan, program mingguan dan harian yang disesuaikan dengan alokasi waktu. Penyusunan perangkat administratif mencakup: buku induk, Daftar hadir warga belajar, daftar kegiatan warga belajar, buku kemajuan warga belajar. Kesimpulan: Target capaian dari penelitian ini yaitu peningkatan kapasitas kemampuan pengelola dalam penyelengaraan program Pendidikan Keaksaraan Fungsional .

This research is qualitative descriptive. Descriptively, this research identifies the form of noun in Jambi Malay language in Desa Peninjau. The data of this research is verbal oor utterances in the form of noun which are taken from 6 informants who are the native of Jambi Malay language in Desa Peninjau. The data is collected by using observation and interview. The data is analyzzed by using distribution analysis data in which the language itself. Based on the analysis of the data, it can be known that the form of noun in Jambi Malay language in Desa Peninjau comprises, monomorpheme noun and polimorpheme noun which can be developed more. The monomorpeme noun is one syllable , two syllables, and three syllables. While the polimorpheme noun is three syllables and four syllables.

This research aims to describe social values in the traditional marriage ceremony of the Bugis Wa... more This research aims to describe social values in the traditional marriage ceremony of the Bugis Wajo tribe in Sungai Jambat Village, Desa Tanjung Jabung Timur of Jambi Province. Researchers use qualitative descriptive methods, data collection techniques that are conducted with observation and structured interviews. In this study, data in the form and function of social values were taken from 6 informants, with the provision of samples taken based on the direction of the wind that is the original community of Sungai Jambat Village in Tanjung Jabung Timur. Analysis data is taken from using distributional methods. The results of this study show the form and function of social values in the traditional ceremony of mating Bugis Wajo tribe in the community of Sungai Jambat Village of Tanjung Jabung Timur Jambi Province includes, the form of the social value of aspects of material values, namely clothing, food, boards that can be developed again. The form of the social value of material value that is sandang pangan papan is found in 'cikcing' meaning ring, 'lawasoji' means a small house, 'bongkaliri' glutinous 4 (four) colors. The function of social values as a tool of solidarity in society and can direct the community in thinking and behaving is in the 'badek' sword means used by the bridegroom and serves as a symbol that the man must indeed fight to the woman that he is ready for the household and will protect his wife and children. 'potto naga' means to symbolize the readiness of the bride and groom to enter domestic life in a clean state. In these contacts, pacci leaves, which means pure, convey the meaning of the blessing on four main things. That is the heart: thoughts, ethics, and behavior.

This study uses the qualitative descriptive method. This study's data is in the form of oral utterances about non-kinship greetings used to greet and give greetings in daily communication in Sungai Raya Village, Nipah Panjang District, Tanjung Jabung Timur Regency. The subject of this research is a native in Sungai Raya Village, Nipah Panjang Subdistrict, Tanjung Jabung Timur Regency. Six informants became speakers through data collection techniques with the direction of the wind. At the same time, the data analysis technique is done with sociopragmatic theory. The result of this research is a description of the form of non-kinship greetings of Bugis Bone village Sungai Raya District Nipah Panjang Tanjung Jabung Timur. As for the form of the greeting word, this is a greeting in religion such as Pak Imang ’Imam Masjid’. Furthermore, greetings in customs are Andi which means 'descendants of nobles'. While the word greeting in the general public such as Puang 'unknown elder'.

This research is also intended to describe the educational character values in the Seloko customs of Jambi Malay society. The results of the research show that some educational values are found in the Seloko customs of Jambi Malay society: (1) the educational values related religion faith, which contain religious matters, such as obedience to religious law; (2) the educational character values that are related to the self, consisting of honesty, responsibility, discipline, and hard work; (3) the educational character values that are related to society, consisting of self-responsibility, obedience to social rules, politeness, loyalty, and caring; (4) the educational character values that are related to the environment, consisting of being aware of the environment and an anti-violent attitude.

The purpose of this research was to examine how future economics teachers in the province Jambi f... more The purpose of this research was to examine how future economics teachers in the province Jambi felt about their practicum experiences and the teaching profession overall. The population of this study is 755, and the approach used is quantitative research with a survey model. The sample comprises students who have successfully completed teaching practice programs, with up to 261 replies. The data was then analyzed using confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), exploratory factor analysis (EFA), and structural equation modelling (SEM). The research's findings include the following: First, students are beginning to have a positive opinion of the teaching profession. Second, by incorporating teaching strategies and models in line with students' present-day technological and time needs, they obtain a greater knowledge of learning media via the experience of teaching practice programs in educational institutions. Third, aspiring teachers are equipped to fulfill the duties of accredited and seasoned educator.

The method used in this research is descriptive method. Sources of research data include oral data derived from informants and written data taken from a collection of Jambi folklore. Overall, this research was conducted in two locations, namely Muaro Jambi Regency and Jambi City. Research data in the form of BMJ phrases and sentences. Data collection techniques used include interview, observation, introspection, and elicitation techniques. Data analysis was done by distributional method through substitution, expansion and permutation techniques. The results of data analysis show that the grammatical functions of FNum in the BMJ sentence structure include subject, predicate, object, and adverb.

The type of this research is qualitative descriptive. The data of this research is primary and secondary data. The primary data is taken directly, from students exercise in writing realist short story while secondary data is taken from some sources in Batanghari University library and province library. The data is collected by using observation, interview, exercise, and documentation. From the analysis, it shows that there are 5 students fall into very good criteria (interval up to 80), there are 21 students fall into good criteria (interval 70-79), there are 11 students fall into fair criteria (interval 60-69),and there is 1 student falls into below average (interval up to 59). So, it can be concluded that students ability in wiritng realist short story fall into good criteria with interval 70.

The data is taken from the novel Perang by I Gusti Ngurah Putu Wijaya which has ben read clearly. From the data collection, the analysis of the protagonist character are described. Based on the results of data analysis, there are 3 quotations found, they are: 3 quotations of generous aspect, 5 quotations of honesty aspect, 6 quotations of the humble aspect, 5 quotations of defender aspect. From the result of the research, it can be concluded that in the novel Perang by Gusti Ngurah Putu Wijaya, there are four aspects of proragonist character, they are: generous, honesty, humble, and defender.

The data of this research is verbal oor utterances in the form of noun which are taken from 6 informants who are the native of Jambi Malay language in Desa Peninjau. The data is collected by using observation and interview. The data is analyzzed by using distribution analysis data in which the language itself. Based on the analysis of the data, it can be known that the form of noun in Jambi Malay language in Desa Peninjau comprises, monomorpheme noun and polimorpheme noun which can be developed more. The monomorpeme noun is one syllable , two syllables, and three syllables. While the polimorpheme noun is three syllables and four syllables.

This research aims to describe social values in the traditional marriage ceremony of the Bugis Wa... more This research aims to describe social values in the traditional marriage ceremony of the Bugis Wajo tribe in Sungai Jambat Village, Desa Tanjung Jabung Timur of Jambi Province. Researchers use qualitative descriptive methods, data collection techniques that are conducted with observation and structured interviews. In this study, data in the form and function of social values were taken from 6 informants, with the provision of samples taken based on the direction of the wind that is the original community of Sungai Jambat Village in Tanjung Jabung Timur. Analysis data is taken from using distributional methods. The results of this study show the form and function of social values in the traditional ceremony of mating Bugis Wajo tribe in the community of Sungai Jambat Village of Tanjung Jabung Timur Jambi Province includes, the form of the social value of aspects of material values, namely clothing, food, boards that can be developed again. The form of the social value of material value that is sandang pangan papan is found in 'cikcing' meaning ring, 'lawasoji' means a small house, 'bongkaliri' glutinous 4 (four) colors. The function of social values as a tool of solidarity in society and can direct the community in thinking and behaving is in the 'badek' sword means used by the bridegroom and serves as a symbol that the man must indeed fight to the woman that he is ready for the household and will protect his wife and children. 'potto naga' means to symbolize the readiness of the bride and groom to enter domestic life in a clean state. In these contacts, pacci leaves, which means pure, convey the meaning of the blessing on four main things. That is the heart: thoughts, ethics, and behavior.

This study uses the qualitative descriptive method. This study's data is in the form of oral utterances about non-kinship greetings used to greet and give greetings in daily communication in Sungai Raya Village, Nipah Panjang District, Tanjung Jabung Timur Regency. The subject of this research is a native in Sungai Raya Village, Nipah Panjang Subdistrict, Tanjung Jabung Timur Regency. Six informants became speakers through data collection techniques with the direction of the wind. At the same time, the data analysis technique is done with sociopragmatic theory. The result of this research is a description of the form of non-kinship greetings of Bugis Bone village Sungai Raya District Nipah Panjang Tanjung Jabung Timur. As for the form of the greeting word, this is a greeting in religion such as Pak Imang ’Imam Masjid’. Furthermore, greetings in customs are Andi which means 'descendants of nobles'. While the word greeting in the general public such as Puang 'unknown elder'.

The results of the research show that some educational values are found in the Seloko customs of Jambi Malay society: (1) the educational values related religion faith, which contain religious matters, such as obedience to religious law; (2) the educational character values that are related to the self, consisting of honesty, responsibility, discipline, and hard work; (3) the educational character values that are related to society, consisting of self-responsibility, obedience to social rules, politeness, loyalty, and caring; (4) the educational character values that are related to the environment, consisting of being aware of the environment and an anti-violent attitude.

The population of this study is 755, and the approach used is quantitative research with a survey model. The sample comprises students who have successfully completed teaching practice programs, with up to 261 replies. The data was then analyzed using confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), exploratory factor analysis (EFA), and structural equation modelling (SEM). The research's findings include the following: First, students are beginning to have a positive opinion of the teaching profession. Second, by incorporating teaching strategies and models in line with students' present-day technological and time needs, they obtain a greater knowledge of learning media via the experience of teaching practice programs in educational institutions. Third, aspiring teachers are equipped to fulfill the duties of accredited and seasoned educator.

The method used in this research is descriptive method. Sources of research data include oral data derived from informants and written data taken from a collection of Jambi folklore. Overall, this research was conducted in two locations, namely Muaro Jambi Regency and Jambi City. Research data in the form of BMJ phrases and sentences. Data collection techniques used include interview, observation, introspection, and elicitation techniques. Data analysis was done by distributional method through substitution, expansion and permutation techniques. The results of data analysis show that the grammatical functions of FNum in the BMJ sentence structure include subject, predicate, object, and adverb.

The type of this research is qualitative descriptive. The data of this research is primary and secondary data. The primary data is taken directly, from students exercise in writing realist short story while secondary data is taken from some sources in Batanghari University library and province library. The data is collected by using observation, interview, exercise, and documentation. From the analysis, it shows that there are 5 students fall into very good criteria (interval up to 80), there are 21 students fall into good criteria (interval 70-79), there are 11 students fall into fair criteria (interval 60-69),and there is 1 student falls into below average (interval up to 59). So, it can be concluded that students ability in wiritng realist short story fall into good criteria with interval 70.

This result of the research shows that there are 2 themes found, they are: theme about the relationship of human with human and the relationship of human and God. Those results are acquired from 32 sentences which represent the relationship of human with human and 13 sentences which represent the relationship of human and God.

Based on the results of data analysis, there are 3 quotations found, they are: 3 quotations of generous aspect, 5 quotations of honesty aspect, 6 quotations of the humble aspect, 5 quotations of defender aspect. From the result of the research, it can be concluded that in the novel Perang by Gusti Ngurah Putu Wijaya, there are four aspects of proragonist character, they are: generous, honesty, humble, and defender.

Results obtained dalah: 1) Achieving increased access to education at the primary level is much better than at the level of SMP / MTs. 2) Based on the indicators of GER, NER, school dropout (DO) and number of repeat classes, the district has not met the target East Tanjab reasonable thoroughness 9 years in an optimal fit mandated by the Presidential Instruction No. 5 / 2006 which is unable to maintain NER SD / MI of 95% and education GER SMP / MTs has not reached 95%.
