The reason behind this is the growing need for portability of text related files and the greater need to eliminate the dependence on paper. Previously, the task of document classification was handled by very experienced experts who are capable of classifying large text documents into their corresponding category. Overtime, it was realized that this task extremely time consuming. Therefore the need for automatic text document classification came into the big picture. Corresponding research has shown the involvement of various classification algorithms to create an automated text document classification system. The major tasks involved in creating this type of automated system is handling large amount of texts, selecting the features from a wide range of availability and eventually selecting the classification algorithm which is best suited for classification text files. This paper is a survey conducted for identifying the various event detection methods which are useful for event mining. While traditional Web sites can only show human-edited events, this Paper suggests a System which automatically detects events from search log data and generate a storyboard where the events are arranged along a timeline. Web search log is considered as a good data resource for event mining, since they reflect people’s interests directly and wide variety of real world events are covered in it. In order to discover events from log data, an approach known as Smooth Nonnegative Matrix Factorization framework (SNMF) is used. As the file size to be compressed becomes larger the size of the dictionary also increases which increase the time to search a pattern in the dictionary. This paper proposes a novel approach to increase the efficiency of the algorithm with GPU using CUDA. Thus, making the process of searching the dictionary parallel. Given a simple connected undirected graph ‫ܩ‬ = ሺܸ, ‫ܧ‬ሻ with |ܸ| = ݊ and ‫|ܧ|‬ = ݉, the Wiener i... more Given a simple connected undirected graph ‫ܩ‬ = ሺܸ, ‫ܧ‬ሻ with |ܸ| = ݊ and ‫|ܧ|‬ = ݉, the Wiener index ܹሺ‫ܩ‬ሻ of ‫ܩ‬ is defined as half the sum of the distances of the form ݀ሺ‫,ݑ‬ ‫ݒ‬ሻ between all pairs of vertices u, v of ‫ܩ‬. If ሺ‫,ܩ‬ ‫ݓ‬ ா ሻ is an edge-weighted graph, then the Wiener index ܹሺ‫,ܩ‬ ‫ݓ‬ ா ሻ of ሺ‫,ܩ‬ ‫ݓ‬ ா ሻ is defined as the usual Wiener index but the distances is now computed in ሺ‫,ܩ‬ ‫ݓ‬ ா ሻ. The paper proposes a new algorithm for computing the Wiener index of a Fibonacci weighted trees with Fibonacci branching in place of the available naive algorithm for the same. It is found that the time complexity of the algorithm is logarithmic.
