Trapping parameter, the activation energy (E), the order of kinetics (b) and the frequency factor... more Trapping parameter, the activation energy (E), the order of kinetics (b) and the frequency factor (s), are determined for the solution combustion synthesized Sr 4 Al 14 O 25 : Eu 2+ phosphor using 60 Co irradiation source. The glow curve is a double peak structure with prominent peak at 487 K with shoulder at 423 K. Non-shifting T m property is utilized for the trap parameter determination. Glow curve deconvolution (GCD) is carried out on recorded glow curves after gamma radiations. The trap depths calculated ranges between 0.5-1.36 eV. The linearity characteristic of the present phosphor and the fading experiments suggests the aptness of present phosphor towards dosimetric applications.
