It has been observed from X-ray diffraction patterns that there is a decrease in an interplanar distance initially up to 0.05 mol%. In doping and, thereafter, it increases with an increase of indium concentration. The action spectra are recorded at room temperature. These studies indicate that absorption edge changes from 705 to 762 nm with doping concentration up to 0.05 mol%. Similarly, the energy gap is found to be decreased from 1.76 to 1.63 eV up to 0.05 mol% indium, while it increases with an increase in indium content. The extrema's found in low concentration of indium are also re¯ected in dark electrical conductivity. These results are discussed in terms of carrier concentration (n), mobility (") and interplanar distances because of indium doping.

Herein, we present construction and characterization of two novel SOFs based on large macrocyclic compound-noria, and linker molecules such as 4,4'-bypyridine and 1,2-Bis(4-pyridyl)ethylene. Use of bipyridine type spacer molecules can partially or completely replace typical O-H•••O intermolecular hydrogen bonds between noria molecules by O-H•••N interactions. Due to the moderate length difference, the two spacer molecules lead to the assembly of 1D chains and 2D networks, respectively.

Irrespective of the source, the accuracy of the data always remains the responsibility of the cost Estimator. In almost all the cases, the data will need to be adjusted or normalized. For example, the reference system cost should be adjusted to account for any differences in system parameters (it may be technical, physical, complexity, or hardware cost) or operating conditions between the reference system and the proposed system being calculated. The Success of the Life Cycle costing depends on the accuracy of the cost factors and as such huge efforts are needed to map a system which would help in the accurate prediction of the various cost categories.Actual cost incurred on past and current project procurement programs often forms the basis of estimates of future projects. Project managers use the Quantity Survey system to report data on contractor development, production, and sustainment costs and resource usage incurred in construction projects and their facility management. It is important to assess the accuracy of the outputs from the estimating methods and models, drawing conclusions about reasonableness and validity. Peer review is often helpful at this point. For complex cost estimates, with many elements provided from different sources, considerable effort and care are needed to deconflict and synthesize the various elements. This paper explains the importance and process for estimation for LCC.

These macrocycles are involved in weak van der Waals interaction to form multidimensional supramolecular frameworks. The gas-diffusion and subsequent sorption occurs due to a cooperative behavior between neighboring macrocycles. Furthermore, the flexibility at the upper rim functional group also plays a key role in the overall gas uptake of calixarene. In this book chapter, we give a brief account of interaction and diffusion of gases in calixarene and selected derivatives.

Two-dimensional framework of nickel-seamed hexameric metal-organic nanocapsules have been synthes... more Two-dimensional framework of nickel-seamed hexameric metal-organic nanocapsules have been synthesized by connecting the tailed hydroxyl groups of C-propan-3-ol pyrogallol[4]arene with adjacent hexameric capsules via nickel-hydroxyl coordination. In addition, functionalization of nanocapsules with multiple pyridine molecules at the capsule surface prevents them from assembling into hierarchical structures and leads to the formation of discrete nickelseamed pyrogallol[4]arene nanocapsules. This work shows that surface functionalization of nanocapsules is an effective and innovative method of controlling the assembly of these nanometric building blocks.

The quest for efficient sorptive materials is still on since the practical applications of conventional porous materials possess certain limitations. In that context, we designed, synthesized, and characterized two novel supramolecular organic frameworks based on C‐pentylpyrogallol[4]arene (PgC5) with spacer molecules, such as 4,4′‐bipyridine (bpy). Highly optimized and symmetric intermolecular hydrogen‐bonding interactions between the main building blocks and comparatively weak van der Waals interactions between solvent molecules and PgC5 leads to the formation of robust extended frameworks, which withstand solvent evacuation from the crystal lattice. The evacuated framework shows excellent affinity for carbon dioxide over nitrogen and adsorbs ca. 3 wt % of CO2 at ambient temperature and pressure.

METHODS This is a prospective ongoing descriptive observational study of Indians aged below 40 years with Coronary Artery Disease which was started on 1 st April, 2017. Of 3450 patients registered in PCAD registry till date, 17 satisfied entry criteria. Entire clinical and angiographic profile of these patients was documented. Conventional lipids were estimated using commercially available kits. The distribution of different lipid profile parameters was visualised by nonparametric density plot. The data was analysed by statistical software R version 3.5.0. RESULTS 17 out of total of 3450 patients (0.6%) registered under PCAD registry belonged to study age group for this particular study. The mean age of all patients under PCAD registry was 18.34 years. 1 patient each was 15 and 16 years old, two and four seventeen-year olds and majority (9) of them were 19 years. Average age of this study group was 18.345 yrs. A majority of 16 (94%) of the patients were males. 8 (47.10%) were smokers. 1 patient (5.8%) was diabetic and 1 patient (5.8%) was hypertensive. 2 (11.7%) had strong family history of premature coronary artery disease. Most common index presentation of coronary artery disease in teenage Indians was with ST elevation myocardial infarction (10 patients-58.9%), and unstable angina / Non-ST elevation MI (2 patients-11.7%). 3 patients (17.6%) presented with evolved myocardial infarction, 2 patients (11.6%) presented with spontaneous myocardial infarction. Mean total cholesterol of entire study population was 171.

Resorcinarenes, a subclass of calixarenes, are also useful for the construction of cocrystalline materials because of their unique bowl shape, decorated with eight hydroxyl groups. Here we investigate the separation of hexameric C-ethylresoricn[6]arene from its tetrameric homologues C-ethylresorcin[4]arene via cocrystallization with 4,4′bipyridine (Scheme 1). The effect of the stoichiometric ratio of the components and the solvent of crystallization on the separation of macrocycles and on the formation of a particular cocrystal is also discussed.

Herein, we provide a brief introduction of pyrogallol[4]arene-based dimeric (M7L2 and M8L2) and hexameric (M12L6 and M24L6) metal-organic nanocapsules. In addition, hierarchical assemblies using dimeric/hexameric nanocapsules as building blocks are introduced. The strategies of direct linking, addition of a bridging linker, and dual function of C-propan-3-ol-pyrogallol[4]arene have been employed to connect these nanocapsules into supramolecular superstructures. In addition, the solution-phase studies of metallopyrogallol[4]arene complexes showing solution-phase stability, rearrangement of nanoassemblies, and magnetic behavior of these nanocapsules are presented.

Here we report the synthesis and crystal structures of two functionalized resorcin[4]arenes and pyroagllol[4]arenes , 4hydroxyphenylresorcin[4]arenes and 4hydroxyphenylpyrogallol[4]arenes. These phenyl functionalized macrocycles usually have different conformers such as cone, boat, chair, saddle, and diamond. The successful separation of predominant conformers from the crude product is carried out with solvent extraction technique. The shape and molecular arrangement of these conformers in the individual crystal structure is verified with single crystal X-ray diffraction studies.

Key steps in the synthesis of the pyrimidine analogues (U and C) include the regioselective D-allo-hexitol oxirane and 2′,4′-anhydronucleoside ring opening by uracil and azide, respectively. A different strategy using a regioselective epoxide ring opening of D-gulooxirane, followed by a S N 2 type of azidation reaction, has been adopted for the purine analogues (A and G). These compounds can be easily converted to 6′-phosphoramidites for the solid-phase synthesis of N4′ → P6′ phosphoramidates of amino hexitol nucleic acids (AHNA).
