The developed method uses the solvent Ethanol: Water (30:70) for the assay of Favipiravir whose λmax was found to be 231nm. In this method, Favipiravirshows linearity in the range 2-10 μg/ml. The accuracy was carried out by using standard addition method and the precision is ascertained by calculating the relative standard deviation. A cheap and rapid UV spectrophotometric method was developed and validated for the estimation of Favipiravir and hence it can be used for the routine pharmaceutical analysis.

Turning operation leads to production of high temperature followed by the risk of metal fire. In this paper an attempt is made to reduce the temperature between tools and job by introducing Minimum Quantity Lubrication (MQL) technique which reduced the cost of the coolant/lubricating liquid as well as to produce minimum pollutant resulting in green atmosphere. Three types of nano additives such nano TiO 2 , nano SiC and nano CuO with particle size of 40-50 nm were mixed with coolant. Three different concentrations such as 0.5%, 1% and 2% (wt %) were used in the coolant and their influence on surface roughness, Tool interface temperature and tool wear were analyzed.

Cov. (Zygophyllaceae). So far NDGA was not isolated and estimated in larrea tridentata (moc. & sess.) cov. In this study isolation of Nordihydroguaiaretic acid was achieved by preparative TLC and the compound thus isolated was characterised by Ultraviolet and Mass spectral analysis. Mass spectral data shows molecular ion peak of m/z=302.2. An isocratic RP-HPLC method was developed for the estimation of Nordihydroguaiaretic acid in marketed formulation. Retention time of Nordihydroguaiaretic acid was found as 4.173 min. This method has obeyed linearity over the concentration range of 1050μg/ml and the regression coefficient obtained from linearity plot for Nordihydroguaiaretic acid was found as 0.999. RP-HPLC method was validated in pursuance of International conference on Harmonization (ICH) guidelines. This method is simple and economic one a...

Failure in the efficacy of the standard treatments (chemo-, radiotherapy and surgery), and the severe side effects, resistance of tumor cells to chemotherapeutics have necessitated alternative therapeutic strategies. Magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) have been assessed as potential cancer therapy materials. Their intrinsic magnetic properties provide a cancer detection, monitoring, and therapy platform based on multimodal theranostics. MNPs can be functionalized by binding them to a wide variety of substances, including chemotherapeutic drugs, radionuclides, nucleic acids, and antibodies. They can be used for drug delivery, magnetic or photothermal induced local hyperthermia and photodynamic therapy aimed at killing cancer cells at the tumor site. MNPs may also be useful to challenge drug resistance. The combination of different options of these treatment modalities offers a synergistic effect and significantly reduc...

For this study, PEGylated poly(propylene imine) dendritic architecture was synthesized and loaded with Levofloxacin and targeted to the resistant producing strains of Klebsiella pneumoniae and E.coli. The antibacterial activity was carried out by cup and bore method to compare the zone of inhibition with standard drug and control (DMSO). The study showed that the Levofloxacin loaded dendrimer has significant antibacterial activity than the plain drug and control treated, but standard drug was not shown zone of inhibition upon both microorganisms. In this study antibacterial activity of synthesized system are also relatively safer and hold potential to deliver some other drugs also.

The natural phytochemicals fromnon-edible plants are gaining importance to fight against these disease The intention of this study is to evaluatethe ethanol and dichloromethane extracts of flower of Couroupita guianensis (Lecithydaceae) for anti-tubercular activity. The anti-tubercular activity of all the extracts of Couroupita guianensishave been evaluated againstMycobacterium tuberculosis H73Rv strain using Microplate Alamar Blue Assay (MABA). The activity wasdocumented within MIC range of 0.8 to 100I¼g/ml. The results of MABA showed that both ethanol and dichloromethane extractexhibited significant anti-tubercular activity. The present investigation suggests that Couroupita guianensispossess remarkableanti-tubercular activity.
