Electronic commerce or Ecommerce involves commercial transactions of products or services through... more Electronic commerce or Ecommerce involves commercial transactions of products or services through the use of computer networks. Generally, Ecommerce may operate on different settings such as online electronic environment, offline electronic scheme, and mobile platform. In all of the mentioned settings, security is one of the most crucial considerations. It is in this context that this research study is conducted in order to look over the leading security mechanisms that are implemented on Ecommerce. Specifically, the study aims to: a) identify the primary concerns involving Ecommerce security; b) identify measures to ensure security on Ecommerce transactions; and c) identify key factors involved in developing schemes for securing Ecommerce transactions. This research utilized descriptive methodology. Secondary data from several published literatures were reviewed with emphasis on promoting secured transactions to analyze the significance of the discoveries of the investigations introduced and their influence in promoting security. Each of the reviewed tools and protocols provided strengths and limitations depending on where they were applied. Based on the findings, it was concluded that aside from strong security features, the major advantages of reviewed protocols and tools focused on lesser costs on computation and communication processes. To further strengthen the security of transactions, combinations of these protocols and schemes may be considered.

However, the time spent to do research among Filipino academics is the most pressing issue since they can barely meet the requirement for research productivity. Further, the lack of time for data gathering aggravated the drawbacks for research productivity. Data gathering is at the core of almost all research activity, the absence of factual and reliable data will lead to an invalid and illogical inference. In research years, there has been a massive agglomeration of data in large volumes coming from diverse sources pertaining to almost all facets of human activity which is worthy of investigation-known today as Big Data. This research has two (2) main objectives; the first is to find out the underlying reasons why Filipino academics are not enthusiastic to do research. The second is to evaluate the value of big data utilization for research productivity based on the assessment of the faculty members. This research used the Rasch model to measure the responses of Filipino academics with regards to their reasons for not doing enough research work as well as on their assessment for value creation of big data utilization using a polytomous item response selection scale.

Along with this, the study was conducted to compare the efficiency of the Automated Hand Sanitation (AHS) and the Conventional Hand Sanitation (CHS) devices used in hand washing. The researchers utilized descriptive and library research methods. In order to gather data, the researchers conducted observation, interview, and survey questionnaire. Both the AHS and CHS devices were tested and evaluated by selected respondents based on functionality, usability, reliability, performance and supportability or the FURPS Quality Model. To compare and determine the significant differences of the mean when grouped according to hand sanitation systems, t-test for independent samples was used. The study aimed to investigate the learning experiences of the students as they get involved in a... more The study aimed to investigate the learning experiences of the students as they get involved in an Online Discussion Forum (ODF) using the asynchronous format and focuses on the interrelation of factors such as students’ academic self-efficacy, motivation, reflective thinking, attitude towards social networking, and facilitating discourse. Furthermore, the study sought to recommend a model design that may lead to instrument enrichment through virtual learning network. To evaluate the learning experiences of students from ODF, a descriptive correlational design was used. It was conducted using a social networking discussion forum that was assessed as the available and commonly used site. Students were given a week to answer open-ended questions/topics that were posted in the ODF and the mechanics was explained in a live classroom. A total of 183 functional responses were collected for the study. Respondents were not aware that they are under a study to encourage them to work at their pace and interest. After the ODF, the instructor administered the survey questionnaire, and interviews were also made as part of course evaluation. The result revealed that only three variables specifically academic self-efficacy, reflective thinking, and motivation in participating in ODF, tends to predict perceived learning experiences. The proposed model was created to support several discussion forums by several moderator accounts. The model may support interconnection among moderators, contributors and registered users. Expanding the network model will serve as a basis for university-wide virtual learning network.
