The world as we know it and businesses that operate in it are not the same that used to be a decade ago. Emerging trends in technology and society and the changing demographic profiles are changing the way businesses engage with the society. Existing Corporate Social Responsibility and Corporate Philanthropic models are becoming obsolete and new ones have become the order of the day. Various fields in which the companies are contributing have been studied. This paper after brief introduction of Philanthropic activities of India studies the state wise analysis of corporate philanthropic activities of corporate India taking the companies from list of BSE 200 Index.

The world is transforming quickly, with it, the requirement for universal access to top-notch hig... more The world is transforming quickly, with it, the requirement for universal access to top-notch higher education. The present shift toward higher quality is the most effective way of developing and maximizing our country's vast talent pool. The new National Education Policy is being created to address the challenges of making every higher education institution a reputable and best institution for higher education. It is in shambles, and there is a lack of emphasis on cognitive skill development and learning outcomes. Higher education helps to shape a nation that is enlightened, socially conscious, ethical, knowledgeable, and skilled in devising and implementing effective solutions to its problems. The proposed reforms in India's Higher Education System, regulatory structure, and teaching pedagogy are analysed in this paper. The expenditures of various countries on education, including SAARC and BRICS, were also compared to their respective GDPs.

Philanthropic activities in companies are also regarded as best practices in management for measuring corporate values and efficiency. Philanthropy is an age old tradition in India. Religiousness and philosophical bent of mind paved way for the corporate to show inclination in making society its partner in their corporate wealth as it is the society from whom the very corporate have gained. A descriptive study of the world-wide philanthropic activities is also embodied in the work. The sector-wise, state-wise and region-wise analysis has been extensively done in the study. The method of study adapted in the work is universally applicable, while the scope of study is limited to the Bombay Stock Exchange 200 companies in India.
