A number of countries have legalised homosexuality. These includes more than 113 countries in the... more A number of countries have legalised homosexuality. These includes more than 113 countries in the world ,for instance Benin ,Central African Republic ,Burkina Faso ,Cape Verde ,Chad ,Mali ,Niger ,Rwanda , united kingdom ,Spain , Most parts of United states of America ,etc .South Africa is one of the country in sub-Saharan Africa that has legalised homosexuality. Homosexuals are normal individuals who are no different from heterosexuals .However ,the consequences of homosexuals are multiple and severe .Some of these consequences include extreme forms of poverty ,denial of access to government ,services such as health and safety .The continued attacks on the bodies of the individuals are experienced as a daily struggle for survival .There is limited space to exercise any form of expression pertaining to sexuality .Their desire to live without fear and to extremely move in spaces with an assertive form of agency and to live in a society that appreciates and respect human rights is a goal that is whole heartedly pursued ,but denied ,A Report on discrimination against women in Zimbabwe (unpublished).They are individuals in our societies ,families and churches. They have emotions and feelings .It is relevant at this stage and era that Zimbabwe should legalise homosexuality. This paper begins by recognising that in Zimbabwe homosexuality is criminalised .It recognises why those who criticises legalising homosexuality do so .The discussion is comprehensible ,it clearly elaborates why legalising homosexuality is the way to go.

The questions that remains ambiguous to many are , why is there such an upsurge ?What challenges are posed to the classical sociological theories of religion like functionalism and Marxism ?This essay is an exegetical analysis of why Zimbabwe is experiencing an upsurge of Pentecostalism and the resultant implications to the classical sociological theories of religion. It draws evidence from ZAOGA , UFI c , Spirit Embassy ,Prophetic healing and deliverance ministries and AFM .
