One of these is the pharmacological herb Catharanthus roseus. In the herbal medicine system, the plant has been used to treat diabetes mellitus since ancient times. Objective: In order to employ the plant material to treat diabetes, the current study set out to investigate the therapeutic effect of leaf extract from Catharanthus roseus as well as its safety profile. Materials and Methods: The Catharanthus roseus extract was steeped in ethanol. Diabetes-induced rats with alloxan monohydrate were each given an ethanol extract of C. rosea. In pilot research, metformin plant extract was used in place of the widely prescribed anti-diabetic medication metformin, and it was found to be effective at lowering blood sugar levels while not causing hypoglycemia. Results: Alloxan monohydrate was injected intraperitoneally into r...

Research paper thumbnail of Epstein-Barr virus nuclear antigen proteins deploy diverse mechanisms to bind the human genome

Viral transcription factors (vTFs) are known to bind the human genome and impact critical biologi... more Viral transcription factors (vTFs) are known to bind the human genome and impact critical biological processes. However, a vTF can infect multiple cell-types, and the extent to which they deploy the same mechanisms for DNA binding across different cell-types is poorly understood. We used the Epstein-Barr virus Nuclear Antigen Proteins 2 and 3 (EBNA2 and EBNA3), the two widely studied vTFs associated with cancers, as case studies to address this gap. We analyze multiple ChIP-seq datasets of these vTFs from different human cell-lines using a state-of-the-art convolutional neural network model. We show that each vTF uses both cell-type specific and cell-type independent cofactors to bind the human genome. Interestingly, each vTF requires ~10 cofactors consistently across all binding peaks. Such dependency on a large number of cofactors is in contrast to human TFs since human TFs typically co-bind with 2-3 cofactors. Our de novo motif finding approach also reveals novel sequence motifs ...

In this research, the paper introduced two different ways one can accommodate Rawls' political way of thinking with libertarianism as far as the hypothesis of equity. As somebody who comprehensively supports the Rawlsian way to deal with the political way of thinking. This research paper likewise supports the two contentions introduced in this paper. In the soul of reasonableness paper additionally attempted to feature the issues both these methodologies experience which is something critical to do. There is no ideal contention, at this point, building up libertarianism as the best, or generally, political request. By doing practices like this–by introducing different contentions on the side of libertarianism while additionally being transparent about their shortcomings we can ideally gain philosophical headway through...

These kinds of periodic micro/nano-structures are fabricated on the surface of and different layers inside soda-lime glass without damaging other layers. Suitable control over various irradiation conditions of the femtosecond laser beam, such as average pulse energy, scanning speed, scanning step of the horizontal lines, and position of focal point of the femtosecond laser beam allow us to control the dimensions and period of the micro/nano-holes and horizontal micro/nano-gratings. Furthermore, we briefly explain different aspects and application areas of the fabricated micro/nanostructures.

Research paper thumbnail of Comparative Characteristics Analysis of Thermal and Electro-Chemical Behavior of Lithium Ion Battery Using Finite Element Method

A one-dimensional cell model is used to model the battery cell chemistry and a two-dimensional axis symmetric model to model the temperature in the battery. In first part of our study a series of analytical method is applied to describe the different electro-chemical properties like potential, current density and capacity of the electrode with temperature distribution along its surface on cylindrical type li-ion battery. The results of our simulation reveal where maximum temperature of the main body of Li-ion battery will be developed and where the maximum ohmic heat will be developed. The results are successfully verified with a published literature. We have also developed the same electro-chemical and thermal analysis with three-dimensional geometry. A three-dimensional analytical solution is developed to analysis the temperature profiles with respect to time and co-...

Research paper thumbnail of Analysis of Stress and Distortion in Heat Treatment of Different Steels

The analysis was done by software Simufact.forming for a cylinder to predict heat treatment stress and distortion. The specimens of this investigation are low, medium and high carbon steel. It has been observed from the analysis that volume decreases and residual stresses develop due to thermal gradient. This paper will help to predict the required allowance of deformation due to heat treatment to achieve desired dimensioned object without machining.

Generally in automobile Water-EG is used in radiators for cooling fluids. An experimental setup is made as a closed loop system using a commercial automobile radiator. The overall heat conductance (UA) is reduced from 20 to 25 percent (%) due to the addition of EG with water using two mixtures of water-EG proportions, 90:10 and 80:20 (by volume). Two different experiments have been done using Al 2 O 3 /Water-EG and CuO/Water-EG nanofluids. In the experiment, the nanofluid was prepared using mixtures of water-EG proportions, 80:20 and 0.1% (vol.) of Al 2 O 3 and 0.2% (vol.) CuO as nanoparticles. The heat transfer potential is increased by 30-35 % due to the addition of .1 % Al 2 O 3 nanoparticles in the coolant. On the other hand, by the addition of .2 % CuO as nanoparticles, heat transfer potential is increased by 40-45%. A constant coolant flow rate and coolant inlet temperatures (60°C to 85°C) is maintained during all the experiments by using a pump and heater respectively. Finally, the results showed that the heat transfer potential increased with the addition of Al 2 O 3 and CuO nanoparticles to the water and reduced due to the addition of ethylene glycol (EG).
