The Rio Grande do Sul Telematics and Telehealth kernel in Brazil, aims to enhance the quality of ... more The Rio Grande do Sul Telematics and Telehealth kernel in Brazil, aims to enhance the quality of the Unified Health System (UHS) in support of primary health care (PHC) services, most of them engaged in the Family Health Program (FHP). Among the initiatives of the TeleHealth Rio Grande do Sul, there is consulting via e-mail and videoconference. They are requested and answered using specific forms available on TeleHealth's intranet. This study registers the experience on supporting and answering demands using clinical evidence, and presents professional characteristics and some results reached until now. Data related to professional characteristics were extracted from a questionnaire prepared by the program execution team, and applied during training sessions in 2007 and 2008. Consults sent by nurses, technicians and community health agents were analyzed considering its number and content. The analyzed sample of nurses showed that 89.1% were female, 40% younger than 30 years old ...

This article has the objective of reporting researchers' experience on the application of this technique in a study about nurses' competencies for the performance of Essential Public Health Functions. Experts were searched on the Lattes Platform of the National Council of Scientific and Technologic Development (CNPq) in Brazil. Two groups with 50 participants each, one with nurses and other with faculty with representation of every geographic region of the country were organized. The competencies validation instrument was sent by electronic means. Although it is reported that this form reduces the time for sending and receiving the questionnaires, difficulties to obtain contact with the experts, lack of return of the participants and a long time to answer the instrument were observed. Este estudo objetivou conhecer o fazer das enfermeiras da Estratégia de Saúde de Família (ESF) na... more Este estudo objetivou conhecer o fazer das enfermeiras da Estratégia de Saúde de Família (ESF) na atenção domiciliária. Trata-se de um estudo exploratório, descritivo, com abordagem qualitativa. Foram entrevistadas seis enfermeiras atuantes da ESF de um distrito sanitário de Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, Brasil. As informações foram submetidas à análise de conteúdo temática, resultando em três categorias: a visita domiciliária (VD) na ESF, avaliação das demandas de VD e interação com a equipe de saúde na atenção domiciliária. A visita domiciliária (VD) tem oportunizado a identificação das necessidades por meio do conhecimento do contexto de vida dos usuários. Esta tem sido realizada no atendimento de doentes crônicos, acamados e idosos, efetuada a partir das informações trazidas pelos agentes comunitários de saúde. Todas as enfermeiras relataram realizar VD, sendo que gostariam de ter mais tempo para se dedicar a essa atividade.

RESUMO O presente relato de experiência trata da aplicação do Método Criativo Sensível em uma pes... more RESUMO O presente relato de experiência trata da aplicação do Método Criativo Sensível em uma pesquisa qualitativa do tipo exploratória, descritiva. O alicerce teórico e a maneira como o método foi aplicado estão objetivamente descritos por meio das etapas: introdução, produção, apresentação, discussão e avaliação. Por fim, pode-se sustentar que o método é um entre muitos caminhos metodológicos alternativos de produção de dados em espaços coletivos para uso em investigações qualitativas envolvendo a Enfermagem ou outros contextos em saúde.

The development of competencies among health professionals in relation to the Essential Public He... more The development of competencies among health professionals in relation to the Essential Public Health Functions (EPHF) is part of a number of initiatives that are meant to face the need for services that can lead to the resolution of health problems, considering the transformations occurred in the health sector and in the workplace. This article's objective is to make a theoretical reflection on the theme of professional competencies, so that we can contribute to the development of political-pedagogical projects for health training and primarily for nursing training. For that matter, we introduce the competency-based model. These competencies are in accordance with the EPHF and with the competencies proposed so far, and are aimed at contributing to the development of interdisciplinary, critical, and reflexive education models.

Objective To identify and analyze the necessary competencies in primary health care for attending... more Objective To identify and analyze the necessary competencies in primary health care for attending to older adults. Method An exploratory, descriptive, and quali-quantitative study was developed. Three rounds of the Delphi Technique were conducted with participants from primary health care services and a multidisciplinary committee. The first questionnaire asked participants to indicate the competencies needed for attending to older adults in primary health care. They were compiled into a list and added to a Likert Scale (from 1 to 5) for the second and third questionnaires. A consensus criterion of 70% was adopted. Results Twenty eight competencies were reached by consensus and were classified into twelve domains. Conclusion The competencies reflect Brazilian health care policy and constitute a reference for professional health practice and education when caring for the older adult in primary health care.Objetivo Identificar e analisar as competências profissionais necessárias para o atendimento de idosos em cuidados primários de saúde. Método Estudo exploratório descritivo quali-quantitativo. Foi utilizada a Técnica Delphi em três rodadas, com a participação de profissionais da rede básica e um grupo multidisciplinar de especialistas. O primeiro questionário solicitou que os participantes indicassem competências necessárias para o atendimento de idosos em cuidados primários. Estas foram compiladas em uma lista, que adicionada de uma Escala de Likert (de 1 a 5) compôs o segundo e terceiro questionários. O critério de consenso adotado foi 70%. Resultados Vinte e oito competências alcançaram o consenso, tendo sido classificadas em 12 áreas de domínio. Conclusão As competências refletem as políticas brasileiras de saúde e constituem uma referência para a prática e a formação dos profissionais de saúde para o atendimento do idoso na atenção primária à saúde.

Objective: This investigation aimed to identify and analyze the general and specific competencies... more Objective: This investigation aimed to identify and analyze the general and specific competencies of nurses in the primary health care practice of Brazil. Design: The Delphi Technique was used as the method of study. Sample: 2 groups of participants were selected: One contained primary health care nurses (n 5 52) and the other specialists (n 5 57), including public health nurses and public or community health faculty. Measurements: 3 questionnaires were developed for the study. The first asked participants to indicate general and specific competencies, which were compiled into a list for each group. A Likert scale of 1-5 was added to these 2 lists in the second and third questionnaires. A consensus criterion of 75% for score 4 or 5 was adopted. Results: In the nurses' group, 17 general and 8 specific competencies reached the consensus criterion; 19 general and 9 specific competencies reached the criterion in the specialists' group. These competencies were classified into 10 domains: professional values, communication, teamwork, management, community-oriented, health promotion, problem solving, health care, and education and basic public health sciences. Conclusions: These competencies reflect Brazilian health policy and constitute a reference for health professional practice and education.
Trata-se de um estudo descritivo numa perspectiva qualitativa, com objetivo de descrever as conce... more Trata-se de um estudo descritivo numa perspectiva qualitativa, com objetivo de descrever as concepções dos gerentes das unidades de saúde sobre o contexto do trabalho em saúde coletiva. Os dados foram coletados a partir de entrevistas semi-estruturadas. Na percepção dos sujeitos, o trabalho em Saúde Coletiva transita entre o ideariado interdisciplinar com enfoque preventivo e a prática curativa de atendimento à demanda. Quanto ao trabalho de enfermagem, ressaltam a função gerencial da enfermeira e as atividades assistenciais realizadas pelos profissionais de nível médio. Consideram que no contexto da Saúde Coletiva é necessário propor estratégias que aproximem a assistência, oriunda do trabalho, aos princípios do SUS.
