Likewise, professors of psychology can utilize these principles to empower minority students by (a) modeling cultural openness, (b) acknowledging students' rich cultural knowledge and experiences, (c) tailoring assignments to minority students' culturally influenced learning needs, and (d) seizing teachable moments. Empowering minority students in such a collaborative learning environment allows the burden of incorporating cultural views to shift from minority students to the larger classroom community, in which cultural dynamics may be safely explored, respected, and valued.

The paper concentrates on the enactment of a restrictive immigration law and its consequences for Chilean society, and argues that the government's COVID-19 policies have led to greater capital accumulation for the wealthy, exacerbated existing social divisions.

This drawback is increasingly being addressed by academic research. Nevertheless, such pediatric investigations are commonly conducted only once due to ethical constraints. Therefore, the quality of bioanalytical data must be ensured to acquire meaningful insights into maturing humoral parameters. However, appropriate post-validation assessment of bioanalytical runs is currently underrepresented by regulatory guidance. Thus, for applications in an academic environment, an easy-to-handle six-step bioanalytical quality control system was designed based on regulatory guidelines (e.g. U.S. Food and Drug Administration) combined with international recommendations (e.g. Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute) and current scientific discussion. Its applicability to an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for determination of PRA was investigated within three pediatric trials of the EU-funded "Labeling of Enalapril in Neonates up to Adolescents" project. This quality control system identified 15 % bioanalytical runs as non-compliant to the predefined specifications and ensured the reliable quantification of 940 pharmacodynamic samples. The inter-run assessment of quality controls was able to demonstrate the comparability of the study results. Furthermore, 86 % of incurred sample reanalysis pairs complied with regulatory requirements (>67 %), thus underlining the long-term reproducibility of the utilized ligand-binding assay. Successful participation in interlaboratory testing confirmed the accuracy of the applied method throughout the entire study period. Further investigations showed no notable differences between the five applied lots of the PRA assay. The applicability of this quality control system was proven in an academic environment and ensured reliable results for PRA over the entire 24-month study period.

In a first step, LiNi0.8Co0.2O2 mixed oxide in the form of a fine powder was dispersed in aniline and this suspension was sprayed on the surface of an aqueous solution of HCl and ammonium peroxodisulfate. The resulting PANI–LiNi0.8Co0.2O2 nanocomposite is spontaneously formed by polymerization of the aniline molecules present in the drops together with small particles of the oxide. This method induces the formation of nanocomposites showing a better distribution of the oxide particles in the polymer matrix than that observed in related PANI–LiNi0.8Co0.2O2 microcomposites prepared under ultrasound irradiation to disperse the oxide particles during PANI polymerization. Measurements of electrical conductivity and zeta potential, as well as structural characterization of PANI–LiNi0.8Co0.2O2 nanocomposites, reveal the existence of relatively strong interactions between the conducting polymer and the oxide particles. This feature determines higher values of the electrical conductivity (0.5 S cm−1) and of the average operative voltage (3.6 V), as well as of other technological parameters of the nanocomposite when it is used as the positive electrode of rechargeable lithium batteries, in comparison to those of the related microcomposite materials already reported.

What led to the popular uprising in Chile in October 2019, and what forces are represented by its violent state repression? Fascist formations are currently developing in various nations; Umberto Eco’s concept of Ur-Fascism is useful in tracing the range of fascisms and their characteristics. These include populism, nationalism, racism, and syncretic traditionalism. In Chile, the racism of the far right is directed against its indigenous people more than immigrants. The ‘unfinished business’ of capitalist development here is the historical background of the oppressive relationship established by the ‘West’ over the ‘Rest’, in Stuart Hall’s terms. Fascism emerges periodically, temporarily resolving crises of accumulation through runaway activity of capital, entailing suppression of the working class and its organization. Neoliberalism has been the latest form of this exacerbation,...

We use this theorem to prove Caristi's fixed point theorem in the same setting and also for lower semi continuous functions.
