Also we obtained the condition in which superluminal and subluminal pulses are propagated through resonant dielectric slab, simultaneously.

According to the semi-classical theory of HHG, the maximum emitted photon energy is [Formula: see text]. The ionization potential ([Formula: see text] and ponderomotive energy ([Formula: see text], play important roles in the generated photon energy; therefore, choosing the material and field for HHG is important. Here, investigating the probability of ionization of material in laser and plasmonic field for HHG is important. The ionization probability of noble gases atoms and ions was investigated. Using Ammosov–Delone–Krainov (ADK) model formulas, the parameters for ions and atoms were determined. The results show that helium is the most suitable noble gas atom for HHG in both fields. After ionizing the atoms, the ionization potential increases significantly, and the ionization probability also decreases. Then, ions are better than their corresponding atoms for HHG. Amo...

Ytterbium ions doped in the Yttrium Aluminum Garnet (YAG) crystal was utilized in this configuration as an active medium. We obtained the output power, the intensity as well as phase profiles on the output coupler and the active medium. Key words: Axicon based resonator, Thin disk laser, Bessel like beam.

Our simulation show that, by focusing of laser oscillator output pulses with characteristics such as 860nm wavelength, 200fs,330MHz repetition rate 14o Pico joule ( PJ) energy in KN crystal with 3mm length at 22 0C by 15 mm lens in less than 20 micrometer spot size with single pass produce pulses with 42pJ energy,425fs, 30 % optical efficiency and 1 % total efficiency.

It is useful to produce non-diffracting Bessel-Gaussian beams and radially polarized beams. The output power has been estimated by solving the rate equations of a quasi-three -levels Yb doped material.

To extracting of the dominant mode, the scalar Fox-Li method has been used along with numerically solving the Huygens Fresnel diffraction integral. The results show that the hyperboloid parameter and the angle of the curved apex axicon just has effects on the dominant mode of the resonator and the thickness of axicon has not effect on its profile.

The Huygens-Fresnel diffraction integration is solved numerically and finally the prominent mode of resonator is extracted by employing of well-known Fox and Li method. The active medium is Ytterbium doped material and its diameter is several hundred microns. Results show that the profile of eigen mode is distorted by deformation of the active medium (concave or convex). Also, the losses of resonator are studied respect to varying of radius curvature of disk.

A lattice of periodically arranged close-packed square conducting rings has been studied for this purpose. Here, instead of enhancing the magnetic activity via resonance, like in splitring resonators, we concentrate on the analysis of the interactions between these rings. The core idea is to design an array with negligible capacity and to focus on inductive interactions between its building cells. In other words, in this structure, the enhancement of the microscopic process has been attained by the interaction of its building block, i.e. a collective feature has been considered. It is our goal to obtain a sizable magnetic response with this new approach. Our ultimate goal is to demonstrate that the relative magnetic permeability of this architecture could be less than one or even less than zero.

The results show the diffraction loss, the spot size and the amplitude profile can be controlled by selecting of the appropriate radius of curvature for the thin disk and causing improvement of output beam.
