The so called Environmental Protection Tax Law pushes businesses to re-invent their processing way of natural resources motivated by economic reasons and tries to sensitize on the negative nature changes. The recently adopted Tax should help China, the second global economy, to become greener and to push its businesses and institutions towards circular economy.
One year from this new law-enforcement, with China forecasted to become the first global economy within ten years, this thesis aims to provide a preliminary assessment on whether the 2018 Environmental Protection Tax Law is being effective and has the right potential for a greener growth. The conclusion will discuss and comment the analysis-findings and will see what aspects of the policy work or not.
As methodology to analyse the possible impact of policies and the governance of resources, it will be adopted the framework proposed by the ā€˜Environmental Law Centre International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resourcesā€™ (IUCN).
