The lesion was more obvious on forced expiration. Aspiration revealed chylous fluid and a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (M.R.I.) scan revealed a well-circumscribed cystic lesion with no deeper extension. So far, this chylous cyst has not required treatment, but is being kept under regular review.

In our paper we considered only malposition of the lower yelid after surgery for orbital fractures; the title reflects the mportance of this specific aspect of the technique, and such alposition is the most common long-term complication of he treatment of orbital fractures. We appreciate the meticulous description of the techique of postoperative massage, a technique our patients use outinely postoperatively. Nevertheless, some patients still evelop malposition of the lower eyelid after orbital trauma. We used the tarsal strip technique in these cases only. bviously, post-traumatic proptosis must not be corrected sing the tarsal strip technique. In the immediate postoperative period, computed tomogaphy is useful for evaluating the volumetric orbital orrection, and we consider malposition of the lower eyeid only after orbital reconstruction if the ocular globe is in he correct position.

Magnetic resonance (MR) imaging demonstrated marked dilatation and ectasia of the right vertebral artery and basilar artery, thereby causing compression of the brainstem. It is therefore proposed that a dilated vascular loop compression of the nerve rootlets, as they exit the medulla, has caused the hypoglossal nerve palsy. This case demonstrates that excellent images can be obtained from MR imaging, and also emphasises that other pathologies must be considered in the differential diagnosis of hypoglossal nerve palsy.

This question has been the basis for the following article, which gives a brief history of the instruments , discusses their eponymous origins and the history, life and works of the individuals they are named after. In-depth research has also raised other questions about such instruments that could be the focus for further study.

This is unusual after neck dissection and particularly so after selective neck dissection that did not need adjunctive radiotherapy.
