RSA's strong cryptosystem works on the principle that there are no trivial solutions to integer f... more RSA's strong cryptosystem works on the principle that there are no trivial solutions to integer factorization. Furthermore, factorization of very large semi primes cannot be done in polynomial time when it comes to the processing power of classical computers. In this paper, we present the analysis of Fermat's Last Theorem and Arnold's Theorem. Also highlighted include new techniques such as Arnold's Digitized Summation Technique (A.D.S.T.) and a top-to-bottom, bottom-to-top approach search for the prime factors. These drastically reduce the time taken to factorize large semi primes as for the case in RSA Cryptosystem.

The Referral Framework enables control of client health demands that cannot be met locally. Patie... more The Referral Framework enables control of client health demands that cannot be met locally. Patients walking into referral hospitals is increasing, resulting in overuse of available services and a deterioration of the facility's standard of care. In this research paper, A patient Decongestion framework was developed. A descriptive research design was used to interview self-referral patients who visit the outpatient department at Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital. The study findings established a significant positive relationship (r=.7438) between Socio-Demographic Factors and hospital decongestion in the referral hospitals. The study highlighted a positive relationship (r=.703) between primary health facility characteristics and hospital decongestion. The study further established a positive relationship between Referral Facility Characteristics (r=.431) and hospital decongestion. The study findings further highlighted that the current referral framework positively influenced hospital decongestion

Data mining in databases is part of the interdisciplinary field of knowledge discovery used for e... more Data mining in databases is part of the interdisciplinary field of knowledge discovery used for extracting patterns and relationships amongst the data sets from a data source. This paper focuses on mining data from a database. The study further identifies how data mining techniques can be used to support digital forensic investigation in a digital crime case. Digital forensic models are reviewed, concepts mapped onto experimental cases and tested on a Pentium (R) Core TM 2 Duo CPU, 1.89 GHz with Windows XP Professional OS. The findings supported the benefits of integrating data mining principles in extracting data for digital evidence.

Studies have revealed that research has a feeder effect on the quality of knowledge that fulcrums higher education principles thence it attracts significant investments. These research efforts are captured and documented in publishable context for availability to knowledge consumers under a more structured system, the library. Our study focused on unearthing the phenomenal role of ICT on the three principal foci; Research, Publications and Library services in relation to Higher Education. However, despite higher education traditional definitive texture, its universal agenda is to discover, avail and preserve consumable knowledge, which in principle rhythms with our study focus, ICT being the facilitation operand. This paper approached the significant role played by ICT's functional support to the three focal areas. We appreciated the collaborative existence of research, publications and library services towards actualizing Higher Education fundamental goals. This was achieved through critical review of existing literature. We were able to establish ICT role in activating the tri-axis connection between research, publications and library services within higher education. We eventually proposed a functional framework that appreciated the role of ICT in promoting Higher Education as underpinned with ICT at its bedrock.
