This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of business simulation as a pedagogical strategy for teaching 21st-century competencies to undergraduate students. The study looks at students’ self-perception on how business simulation impacts future skills such as entrepreneurship, employability and sustainability. Despite calls for more stakeholder involvement, research into students' views and expectations of learning analytics services is scant. Improving end-user buy-in and resource planning is possible by addressing these concerns and learning about student expectations before rolling out LA.Methodology: An extensive literature review is included, with a focus on previous research into the value, existing models, and difficulties of implementing LA. To fill this void, we used the SHIELA approach to survey students' beliefs and expectations concerning LA adoption. Factor loading, construct validity, and discriminant validity tests are performed in SmartPLS 4 to ensure the accuracy and credibility of the data. In the wake of the economic slowdown, organizations are increasingly looking for ways to do more ... more In the wake of the economic slowdown, organizations are increasingly looking for ways to do more with the same resources; articulate differently - to make every penny, input and contribution count. In such situations, technologies like Cloud Computing and Business Intelligence (BI) are becoming increasingly important in gaining and maintaining a competitive edge. These technologies when combined enable a variety of new analytic data management projects and business possibilities. Cloud computing will change the economics of BI by making available the hardware, networking, security and software needed to create data marts and data warehouses on demand with a pay-as-you-go approach to usage and licensing. This paper focused on the need of BI in SMB’s. It also state the problems associated with traditional BI tools and proposed a SaaS BI model for handling the problems. Finally the paper outline the benefits of SaaS BI tools.

Most of the companies do not follow any scientific approach for production mix. It is difficult to identify the optimum mix of product which can result in maximum utilization of resources and also maximizing the profit. In some cases product mix is based on the basis of cost and not on the basis of suitable quality parameters. It follows higher production speed rather than focusing on strategies to fully exploits the benefits of optimized resource utilization. Since the inception of Jazan University in the southern part of Saudi Arabia in 2006, Jazan Unive... more Since the inception of Jazan University in the southern part of Saudi Arabia in 2006, Jazan University has been striving hard these years to facilitate the improvement of state-of-the-art services to its students. The IT Centre established in 2007 on campus is an important strategic decision in this direction. It is intended to offer various online services round the clock for both students and staff. Some of these services include e-learning, testing management, program scheduling, academic advising etc. As the university is expanding in its length and breadth, the demand for such services is also growing rapidly and the problems are in increase at the same time. There is an urgent need to identify the major management issues regarding to the service provided and find out solutions through analysis of potential root cause of these problems. This study is based on the application of Pareto Principle and Cause & Effect Diagram for trouble-shooting and suggest optimal solutions to reduce problems at the IT Centre. The research findings through this empirical approach will help to better formalize the operating strategy of the IT Centre and thus improve its service quality and the satisfaction level among the stakeholders.

A topic of economic debate is the quantification of the impact that these policies can create in the economy, with the aim of activating regulatory mechanisms to minimize this impact. In this vein, this study aims to propose a quantification of the effects of the Italian government policy that blocks nonessential production activities.Design/methodology/approachThe authors use a multisectoral extended inoperability model on the social accounting matrix of Italy. The analysis identifies the pandemic’s impact on outputs, endogenous demands, value-added and disposable incomes of institutional sectors.FindingsThe construction and real estate sectors revealed a significant contraction followed by the retail trade and hotel and catering services sectors.
