The purpose of this research is to explore the relationship between supplier's dependency and the... more The purpose of this research is to explore the relationship between supplier's dependency and the relationship orientation of supplier-manufacturer relationship. The main tools of data collection instrument used was a questionnaire which was administrated to a total sample of 210 managers is classified by job title and respondents are also classified by their job functions are corporate executives, purchasing, manufacturing or production, material, and operation from Malaysia electrical and electronic manufacturing industry. The response rate was 26% while 96% were usable questionnaires. Sample selection was based on random sampling. The data were analyzed using mean, standard deviation and correlation between independent and dependent variables. The analyses involved statistical methods such as reliability and validity tests and multiple regressions. The findings show that the supplier perceives dependency has a significant relationship with relationship orientation statically.

Artikel ini melaporkan penemuan kajian baseline yang dijalankan untuk mengenal pasti tahap presta... more Artikel ini melaporkan penemuan kajian baseline yang dijalankan untuk mengenal pasti tahap prestasi semasa sebelum bergerak ke hadapan dengan inisiatif seterusnya yang boleh memastikan pencapaian objektif jabatan yang telah digariskan. Kajian ini menggunakan pendekatan model 7S McKinsey untuk mengenal pasti elemen strategi, struktur, sistem, staf, sama berkongsi nilai, stail, skil dalam organisasi pengurusan konservasi hidupan liar.Kajian ini melibatkan seramai 1375 staf dari pelbagai kategori jawatan. Data yang sah untuk penganalisaan data ialah sebanyak 404. Dapatan awal menunjukkan bahawa tahap pencapaian elemen 7S adalah sekitar 70 peratus dan menunjukkan terdapat ruang yang luas untuk lonjakan transformasi di jabatan ini. Pencapaian pada tahap dua turut dibincangkan mengikut kategori jawatan.Dapatan kajian lain turut dibincangkan secara mendalam.

T... more Leaning the operations processes in an organization has become one of the organizational goals. The expected benefits of lean would not only affect the internal process within organization but also go external to the customers.The government-linked companies are well-known for their big-sized establishment.Thus, the operational issues in GLCs are huge.It is interesting to investigate the leanness of Malaysian GLCs. At present,there is little known concerning the extent of lean implementation in the GLCs and the influence of such lean practices to their organizational performance.Hence, this paper would examine the leanness of GLCs in Malaysia In so doing, a total of 281 managers in GLCs were surveyed.The findings showed that the level of leanness was relatively high among the GLCs,while the lean management practice was significantly related to organizational performance.

Despite these achievements, literature indicated some conspicuous challenges affecting Islamic tourism policies in the country. This study uses secondary data to examine the barriers militating against Islamic tourism and put forward some prospects; policy recommendations respectively. Findings from our review reveals that the country had executed 10 different master plan, but poor policy guidelines, paucity of researches and market difficulty were some of the challenges affecting the sector, while other predicaments to Islamic tourism in the areas of Shariah compliant hotels, promotion of halal products, were underutilized. The increasing competitive pressure as a result of technological development, globalization, chan... more The increasing competitive pressure as a result of technological development, globalization, changing customer demand has led to survival challenges of many banks in the developing countries and demanded for improvement in quality of customer service and speed to enhance profitability performance and cost reduction. Specifically the main aim of this study is to determine the effects of Information Technology (IT) capability on the organizational performance of Nigerian banks. Data was collected using hand delivery of questionnaire survey approach. The study used stratified random sampling and simple random probability procedure in selecting the organizations as the sample. Out of 560 questionnaires distributed, 417 respondents were found to be useable for further analysis representing 74% valid response rate. Multiple regression analysis was used to analyze the data using SPSS software. The findings showed that IT capability is significantly related to organization performance of banks based on resource based view (RBV) of organization performance. The outcome of this study provides important information on the effect of IT capability on organizations’ performance, to the managers and academics in Nigeria.

Due to limited placement in Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), a lot of qualified students have to ... more Due to limited placement in Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), a lot of qualified students have to find other alternatives to pursue their higher education.The collaborative program between Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) and 3 Private Higher Learning Institutes (IPTS) has been conducted to cater those students.The program that has been implemented since 1998 is the Bachelor Degree in Business Administration with Honor (BBA). The main objectives of this paper are to identify whether or not the IPTS abide to the rules and regulation of UUM, to identify whether or not they understand the academic regulations, and to assess the level of teaching among the IPTS lecturers.It is found that two of the colleges conform to the rules and regulations at a satisfactory level.The other college is found to be less satisfactory and its students were also found to be less well-informed to the academic regulations and the aspect of administration of the collaborative program in relation to other colleges.Furthermore, all lecturers in three colleges are found to be effective in counseling and advising their students.These findings will be very useful as guidance for future collaboration between IPTA and IPTS.The suggestions given include the IPTS should be awared with the program agreement while IPTA should always monitor and increase their quality control of the program in order the reduce the gap between IPTA and IPTS.

This research aims on the environmental dynamism and outsourcing success.This study was to examin... more This research aims on the environmental dynamism and outsourcing success.This study was to examine the impact of environmental dynamism as a moderator on the outsourcing success.In this research, outsourcing performance will affect by three dimensions in environmental dynamism: (a) customer demand, (b) level of competition, and (c) technology changes.Postal survey from electrical and electronic manufacturing industries in Malaysia was used to collect data.The findings from the data collected by the hand delivery survey showed support for the hypotheses of the research.Hierarchical regression analysis was carried out to determine the moderating effect of environmental dynamism on outsourcing success.The result of the research indicated full support of these moderating effects.This paper presents a useful source of information for practitioners that seeks to improve the outsourcing performance.

The factors with to evaluate the level of customer satisfaction are the on-line services, fare charging practices, customer services and advertisement.The dependent variable which measured is customer satisfaction. A quantitative approach with a multiple regression analysis was deployed to study the relationship between the independent variables and dependent variable. The factors such as the fare charging practices and customer services though show a positive relationship with customer satisfaction, but the relationship is not significant. However, the passengers are very concern about the on-line services, and advertisement used to communication with them to improve the on-line services, and advertisement in other deliver customer satisfaction continuously.

Despite these achievements, literature indicated some conspicuous challenges affecting Islamic tourism policies in the country. This study uses secondary data to examine the barriers militating against Islamic tourism and put forward some prospects; policy recommendations respectively. Findings from our review reveals that the country had executed 10 different master plan, but poor policy guidelines, paucity of researches and market difficulty were some of the challenges affecting the sector, while other predicaments to Islamic tourism in the areas of Shariah compliant hotels, promotion of halal products, were underutilized. The increasing competitive pressure as a result of technological development, globalization, chan... more The increasing competitive pressure as a result of technological development, globalization, changing customer demand has led to survival challenges of many banks in the developing countries and demanded for improvement in quality of customer service and speed to enhance profitability performance and cost reduction. Specifically the main aim of this study is to determine the effects of Information Technology (IT) capability on the organizational performance of Nigerian banks. Data was collected using hand delivery of questionnaire survey approach. The study used stratified random sampling and simple random probability procedure in selecting the organizations as the sample. Out of 560 questionnaires distributed, 417 respondents were found to be useable for further analysis representing 74% valid response rate. Multiple regression analysis was used to analyze the data using SPSS software. The findings showed that IT capability is significantly related to organization performance of banks based on resource based view (RBV) of organization performance. The outcome of this study provides important information on the effect of IT capability on organizations’ performance, to the managers and academics in Nigeria.

Due to limited placement in Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), a lot of qualified students have to ... more Due to limited placement in Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), a lot of qualified students have to find other alternatives to pursue their higher education.The collaborative program between Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) and 3 Private Higher Learning Institutes (IPTS) has been conducted to cater those students.The program that has been implemented since 1998 is the Bachelor Degree in Business Administration with Honor (BBA). The main objectives of this paper are to identify whether or not the IPTS abide to the rules and regulation of UUM, to identify whether or not they understand the academic regulations, and to assess the level of teaching among the IPTS lecturers.It is found that two of the colleges conform to the rules and regulations at a satisfactory level.The other college is found to be less satisfactory and its students were also found to be less well-informed to the academic regulations and the aspect of administration of the collaborative program in relation to other colleges.Furthermore, all lecturers in three colleges are found to be effective in counseling and advising their students.These findings will be very useful as guidance for future collaboration between IPTA and IPTS.The suggestions given include the IPTS should be awared with the program agreement while IPTA should always monitor and increase their quality control of the program in order the reduce the gap between IPTA and IPTS.

A quantitative approach with a multiple regression analysis was deployed to study the relationship between the independent variables and dependent variable. The factors such as the fare charging practices and customer services though show a positive relationship with customer satisfaction, but the relationship is not significant. However, the passengers are very concern about the on-line services, and advertisement used to communication with them to improve the on-line services, and advertisement in other deliver customer satisfaction continuously.
