Low grade gliomas are invasive brain tumors that mostly occur among young adults. Previous studie... more Low grade gliomas are invasive brain tumors that mostly occur among young adults. Previous studies showed that LGG is characterized by IDH1/2 mutations; however, there were some cases where the cancer patients suffer low mutation rate of those genes. In this study, two genes are proposed as new biomarkers: IQGAP and HspB8. IQGAP has been found to be correlated with various types of cancer, while HspB8 role in LGG has not been determined, according to F-Census database. This study is aimed to identify the expressions of IQGAP and HspB8 genes among LGG patients and assess their potential to be the next biomarkers. The expression data was derived from The Cancer Genome Atlas project and downloaded using TCGA Assembler. Then, IQGAP – miRNA expression correlations and HspB8 expression analysis were conducted using Matlab and Microsoft Excel, respectively. The results were validated using miRTarBase and Firebrowse. The results showed that the strongest IQGAP – miRNA negative correlation was dominated by IQGAP2, peaked at -0.41. HspB8, on the other hand, was found to be highly expressed in LGG. However, due to lack of researches, their roles have not been validated yet. Therefore, the results from this study might become basis for further wet-lab studies.
The research for finding the cure for breast cancer is currently entering the interesting phase o... more The research for finding the cure for breast cancer is currently entering the interesting phase of the transcriptomics based method. With the application of Next Generation Sequencing (NGS), molecular information on breast cancer could be gathered. Thus, both in silico and wet lab research has determined that the role of lincRNA-RoR/miR-145/ARF6 expression Pathway could not be ignored as one of the cardinal starting points for Triple-Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC). As the most hazardous type of breast cancer, TNBC should be treated with the most advanced approach that available in the scientific community. Bioinformatics approach has found the possible siRNA-based drug candidates for TNBC. It was found that siRNA that interfere with lincRNA-ROR and mRNA ARF6 could be a feasible opportunity as the drug candidate for TNBC. However, this claim should be validated with more thorough thermodynamics and kinetics computational approach as the comprehensive way to comprehend their molecular repertoire. In this respect, the claim was validated using various tools such as the RNAfold server to determine the 2D structure, Barriers server to comprehend the RNA folding kinetics, RNAeval server to validate the siRNA-target interaction. It was found that the thermodynamics and kinetics repertoire of the siRNA are indeed rational and feasible. In this end, our computation approach has proven that our designed siRNA could interact with lincRNA-RoR/miR-145/ARF6 expression Pathway.

Namun, SD Mekarsari tidak memiliki fasilitas ataupun kurikulum untuk mempersiapkan siswa untuk menghadapi era tersebut. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengenalkan anak-anak sejak dini dengan perangkat keras dan perangkat lunak komputer yang terkini. Peserta kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini terdiri dari siswa kelas 4 dan 5 SD yang didampingi oleh 2 guru ditiap kegiatan yang berlangsung. Materi kegiatan disusun dengan metode yang mudah dimengerti dengan kegiatan praktikum yang berhubungan dengan perkembangan TIK saat ini. Jenis kegiatan ini termasuk kedalam "direct philanthropic giving" dikarenakan bertujuan untuk memfasilitasi dan memberikan pengetahuan secara gratis kepada murid dan guru SD Mekarsari. Adapun luaran dari kegiatas ini adalah sebagai berikut: siswa dan guru mampu mengenali perangkat keras dan lunak dari komputer versi terkini; memahami cara untuk belajar pemrograman phyton; memahami cara untuk penganggaran harian dengan menggunakan Microsoft excel; mampu membuat cerita singkat dengan menggunakan Microsoft World dan PowerPoint. Berdasarkan survey yang dilakukan, Seluruh siswa dapat memahami dan antusias dalam seluruh kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yang diberikan. Kegiatasn pengabdian masyarakat ini menyarankan bahwa setiap SD harus memiliki kurikulum dan laboratorium komputer untuk mempersiapkan para generasi muda untuk bersaing di era industri 4.0. Introduction: Dementia is a common medical condition of older people which is marked by the decli... more Introduction: Dementia is a common medical condition of older people which is marked by the decline of multiple cognitive abilities, such as memory and communication. Currently, there is no effective treatment for curing dementia, making prevention the most priority to this disease. Previous studies showed that cognitive ability training, such as mathematical problem solving, has a potential to slow down cognitive decline. The aim of this project is to create a simple yet interactive mathematical quiz as a way to train one' cognitive ability and reduce the risk of getting dementia. Material and Methods: The quiz was created by using tkinter module and its built-in functions in Python programming language. Results: The result showed that the quiz was simple but involved an active role of the user to input the answer. It also did not have certain time limit, preventing the user to feel rushed or burdened in doing the quiz. In addition, three different types of difficulty were provided to give a challenging atmosphere to the game. Conclusion: As a conclusion, this quiz provides a simple way for people to regularly train their cognitive skill, so the risk of getting dementia, especially in elderly stage, can be reduced.
