Parâmetros da DPI geram mudancas do padrao da marcha. Algumas escalas de avaliacao vem sendo utilizadas para caracterizar as alteracoes da marcha na DPI, porem ha poucas publicacoes que correlacionem a analise cinematica e dados temporo-espaciais com escalas clinicas, ou que avaliem o efeito de dois tipos de pistas visuais espaciais (transversas e paralelas) em comparacao a ausencia de pistas na marcha. O objetivo do Artigo 1 foi comparar os dados temporo-espaciais e cinematicos da marcha entre pacientes com DPI e idosos saudaveis (IS) e avaliar a relacao entre estas variaveis com os instrumentos clinicos. Doze pacientes com DPI e quinze IS foram recrutados e avaliados por instrumentos clinicos e pela analise de marcha. Deficits after stroke include sensorial, motor and cognitive alterations, and the loss of postura... more Deficits after stroke include sensorial, motor and cognitive alterations, and the loss of postural control probably has greater impact on these activities, also in the chronic phase. This research analyzed the effects of the training of balance with sensorial intervention in the chronic hemiparesis. Ten patients with stroke of the Universitarian Hospital of UNICAMP were evaluated before and after the training of balance, and after one month of the ending. We used the Berg Balance Scale (BBS), Functional Independence Measure (FIM) - mobility/transference and locomotion, Dynamic Gait Index (DGI), Fugl-Meyer Protocol (FM), Postural Control and Balance Scale (PCBS), Functional Ambulation Classification (FAC), Postural Assessment Scale for Stroke Patients (PASS) and Activities-Specific Balance Confidence Scale (ABC). Objetivo: Verificar a confiabilidade inter e intra-examinador, a validade construtiva e a consist... more Objetivo: Verificar a confiabilidade inter e intra-examinador, a validade construtiva e a consistencia interna da versao brasileira da Escala de Avaliacao Postural para pacientes apos Acidente vascular encefalico (EAPA) Metodo: O instrumento foi traduzido para a Lingua Portuguesa, com base na sua versao original em Ingles por um tradutor bilingue. Dezenove individuos hemipareticos foram avaliados por tres examinadores pelo Escala de Avaliacao Postural para Pacientes apos AVE (EAPA) e Protocolo de Desempenho Fisico de Fugl-Meyer. Resultados: Nao foi encontrado efeito teto. Houve correlacao entre os instrumentos Fugl-Meyer e EAPA total (r=0.79 e p<0.0001); excelente consistencia interna para a EAPA total (0.83) e na sua subescala Mudanca de Postura [MUP] (0.84); excelente coeficiente de confiabilidade interexaminador para a EAPA total e suas subescalas Mantendo a Postura e MUP (0.93; 0.95 e 0.87, respectivamente). There is a lack of studies comparing the kinematics data of idiopathic Parkinson's disease (I... more There is a lack of studies comparing the kinematics data of idiopathic Parkinson's disease (IPD) patients with healthy elder (HE) subjects, and when there is such research, it is not correlated to clinical measures. OBJECTIVE: To compare the spatio-temporal and kinematic parameters of Parkinsonian gait with the HE subjects group and measure the relation between these parameters and clinical instruments. METHOD: Twelve patients with IPD and fifteen HE subjects were recruited and evaluated for clinical instruments and gait analysis. RESULTS: There were statistically significant differences between HE group and the IPD group, in stride velocity, in stride length (SL), and in the hip joint kinematic data: on initial contact, on maximum extension during terminal contact and on maximum flexion during mid-swing.
