On the other hand, in order to maintain its competitiveness, this sector needs more radical innovation. According to the literature, companies that need both incremental and radical innovation should adopt an Ambidextrous Organization (or Semi-Structured Organization) using processes, management tools, and structures suitable for each innovation project. But how exactly should this ambidextrous organization be? This study attempts to contribute to this discussion by proposing criteria for an Organizational Design suitable for the development of incremental and radical innovations in a systematic manner in consolidated companies in mature industries, assuming that there would be no single model to be prescribed. The research method used was the multiple-case study of three innovative companies, in which eleven innovation projects were analyzed. The results indicate that although there is a concern about dividing structures for the development of incremental and radical innovations, in practice, there is no significant difference in the way projects are conducted. The model proposed offers a set of guidelines and criteria for each company to adapt its structure and processes to the different challenges faced by innovation projects at each stage of their development.

INTRODUCTION Electric cars, be they purely electrical, hybrid or fuel cell, are no longer a dream. Although there is no actual market for them yet, media and political attention to this matter can be observed all over the world, Brazil included. They can be considered a real alternative to internal combustion engines, at least for urban passenger cars, in a scenario of more restrictive gas emissions legislation and oil supply uncertainties. Many governments, such as Europe, USA, Japan and China are creating regulations and market incentives to enable it (Oltra and Saint Jean, 2009; Jullien, 2007). As a matter of fact, one can say that automotive technology is currently undergoing "technological ferment", as defined by Tushman and Anderson (1986). The search for a better engine (environmentally, technically and economically feasible) will result in a prolonged period, perhaps decades of technological uncertainty, experimentation and the coexistence of multiple options. (Geels, 2004). So far, there has been no sign that any of the alternatives under consideration (such as purely electric, hybrid or better IC engines) would prevail as a dominant design. Hence, the industry would probably have to deal with the possibility that there would no longer be a unique dominant design. Different countries or world regions will see different local designs surviving and/or prospering (Freyssenet, 2009;

Faced with this problem, we aim to perform a literature review on the behavioral aspects topic in project management in order to identify the relationship between behavioral aspects and project management. Therefore, we used the bibliometric methodology, and the database composing the sample was collected from the Web of Science ISI and Scopus, since Scopus articles were also the main base in the Web of Science. Analyses suggest based on the behavioral aspects that the “human side” is an essential factor for increasing success in project management.

The main objective is to build a broad, integrated and understandable framework of what is happening in the sector and what are the perspectives for local development of technological capability and local value adding, after the deep changes this industry has undergone in the last ten years. The research involved 224 autoparts companies, 7 final assemblers located in Brazil and 4 of their headquarters. A brief discussion on the various factors that may favour the consolidation of the firms located in Brazil is developed. Lessons learned in the effort to design an industrial policy to integrated growth, innovation and international insertion is also proposed.

A case study was developed, using two sources of information: 1) the literature on the distribution of specialty goods and on automobile distribution and 2) interviews conducted with dealers and automakers. The survey allowed the identification of three variables for the proposed model: dealer size, consumer behavior and the legal environment. The model comprises three possible organizational forms for the distribution business: isolated single-brand, single-brand group, and multi-brand group. This study is expected to contribute to a better understanding of the evolution of the sector, as well as to support the analysis of future auto distribution trends.
