This covers the political, ecclesial, social, and other cultural contexts of his time. The second part focuses on the life and ministry of Augustine. In this part, an overview of the key ideas of “community” and “communion” in his ministry is highlighted. The third part enumerates the writings of Augustine and their vast influence today, especially in the fields of Theology and Philosophy. The last part discusses Augustine’s style of exegesis. This part bridges to his interpretation of some biblical texts which serve as a foundation for his teachings about Christ and worship, Ethics, and Church and Society.
