Telemetria é a técnica que mede quantidades, transmitindo os resultados para um centro de control... more Telemetria é a técnica que mede quantidades, transmitindo os resultados para um centro de controle que é responsável pela interpretação, apresentação e/ou armazenamento dos valores medidos. Os meios de transmissão de dados utilizados podem ser muito variados, abrangendo desde linhas telefônicas convencionais até a transmissão por meio da Internet. A forma de transação dos dados de telemetria tem sido padronizada por diversas organizações com o objetivo de tornar as indústrias que fabricam equipamentos de telemetria compatíveis entre si. Com o advento de novas tecnologias, existe uma lacuna na padronização das transações de telemetria em nível de camada de aplicação.

The search for professionalization, for cost reduction and process standardization has led many institutions to associate through partnerships or acquisitions. On the other hand, maturity models have been used very successfully in several areas of knowledge especially in software development, as an approach for quality models. This paper presents a methodology for assessing the maturity of academic process management in private institutions of higher education that, initially, aims the Brazilian market, but its idea can be applied to a global maturity model of academic process management.

The main goal in conceiving Heat Transfer 1.0 was to stimulate the physical reasoning in heat transfer. Therefore, the basic idea behind its conceptual form was to have more than merely a tool to help student to solve the heat conduction equation. The key objective was to create a tool that allows formulating problems, speculating about its physical behavior and exploring the changing of the physics with parameter variations. More, the software should appear attractive and easy-to-use, becoming part of the students toolbox, and not to be seen as another complex application which use is compulsory.
