Magnetocardiography requires technology that only count developed countries. In this work we show the advance of the project whose objective is apply technology and physical infrastructure in order to obtain magnetic heart signals. The critical part of the project is the develop of the magnetic sensor that can sense weak magnetic field in order to detect heart magnetic activity using interferometric methods. In this sensor the magnetic field is detected as function of the interference that happens among the feeding currents and induced currents in the well-known sensor as SQUID (Superconductor Quantum Interference Device), that consist of two Josephson junction connected in parallel. Although some countries this technique is already use as complementary information of ECG...

Research paper thumbnail of A Technique for Adapting a Quasi-Digital Photodetector to a Frequency-to-Digital Converter

2012 IEEE Ninth Electronics, Robotics and Automotive Mechanics Conference, 2012

Meteorological electronic instruments in ITS applications must fulfil with low cost, low power consumption, size saving and wireless communication. The use of quasi-digital sensors and frequency-to-code converters helps to improve those features, but challenges in the measurand-to-code conversion are appearing in this type of systems. The specific case of adapting the output of a sensor for infrared (IR) light detection based on a quasi-digital photo detector is presented in this work. A low relative error of 10% under both indoor and outdoor conditions was determined. The result obtained suggest that this novel proposal may be used to assess the performance in visibilimeters, transmissometers, rain detectors, and current weather instruments used in ITS applications.

Wireless communication systems are widely used in ITS applications requiring short and long range information interchange useful to prevent accidents, plan a route, collect tolls, navigate over the internet, etc. Basically, there are two important applications of short range wireless communication systems on ITS: communications within the vehicle and communications from the road infrastructure to a local facility. Due to his spreading and low cost, Bluetooth (BT) systems are interesting for the developers of ITS applications using short range wireless communications. This paper describes a development platform for the design of BT capable wireless sensors useful in ITS applications.

The multimode fiber is removed of its cladding and with a combination of heat and tension a reduction in the diameter is achieved to force the evanescent wave to increase its power. A dispersive analysis of the radiation transmitted between 400 nm and 2000 nm is measured and compared with simulation on a similar geometry.
