International journal of advanced research, Apr 30, 2022

After long years of study with intravascular intrauterine blood transfusion, a number of varieties of implications have been described. Intrauterine Blood Transfusion (IUBT) is considered the best method in the case of fetal anemia because it is caused by red cell alloimmunization. Not only for red blood cell transfusion, this method can also be used for the transfusion of platelets to thrombocytopenic fetuses in pregnant women. It is generally detected after a child is born who is symptomatic and shows signs of bleeding in the brain and skin. The biggest milestone for the clinician is to give preventive treatment in next pregnancy. Pregnancies at risk require serial monitoring, and Fetal Middle Cerebral arterial (MCA) Doppler is the non-invasive test that is now proving to be the choice for monitoring. IVIG (Intravenous immunoglobulin) is used to manage severe Rh-immunization and is now showing promising effects. Indications like Parvovirus B19, Fetomaternal hemorrhage (FMH), Fetal SacrococcygealTeratoma (SCT), Twin-twin transfusion syndrome, placental chorioangioma diseases, or other infections can be treated with this method. This review covers fetal transfusion techniques and explores current management of fetal anemia and thrombocytopenia.

It is broad spectrum anthelmintic drug. The drugs which can kill or destroy the worms or parasites in body can be called as anthelmintic drug. Worm or parasitic infections are very serious kinds of infections in human especially in childhood. But it can be seen in adults also. Medications with proper hygiene can control the diseases to spread among the society. The drugs act by inhibiting the microtubule in the parasite. It can damage the DNS in parasites. The growth of parasite is destroyed by albendazole. It is the derivatives of Benzinidazole ring. Benzimidazole is very potent in destruction of worms or having the anthelmintic property. Benzene can be combined with imidazole ring can be classified as benzimidazole derivative. Albendazole, mebedendazole, thiabendazole, etc are the drugs under that classification. Under this albendazole is one of the important drug compared to that class. The study represents the drug structure, mechanism of action, ADMET, side effects, uses of albendazole.

Research paper thumbnail of Ferroptosis: A unique form of iron-dependent regulated cell death and its role in different diseases

It causes a reduction in cell volume and an increased density of the mitochondrial membrane. This form of controlled cell death is genetically, biochemically, and morphologically unique from other cell deaths, such as apoptosis, uncontrolled necrosis, and necroptosis. Directly or indirectly, alteration of glutathione peroxidase by ferroptosis inducers, through various mechanisms, causes a loss of antioxidant potential and a build-up of lipid reactive oxygen species (ROS) in cells. Inhibition of glutathione peroxidase 4 (GPX-4), system Xccystine/glutathione antiporter, and arachidonoyl (AA) peroxidation induces ferroptosis in cells, which can be mediated by the mitochondrial VDAC3, p53 genes, and a variety of additional regulator genes such as HSPB1, CARS, and NFR2. Aside from these, a number of drugs like sorafenib, lanperisone, artemisinin, and sulfasalazine can induce ferroptosis. Recent research has linked ferroptosis to the pathophysiology of many diseases, including tumors, cancers, strokes, neurodegenerative, hepatic, kidney, and pulmonary diseases. In this article, we focused on the process of ferroptosis, its inducers and regulators, and its role in various diseases based on current evidence.

In silico drug design is commonly known as computer aided drug design or CADD in short. This technique shows a vital role in preclinical drug design and development. CADD can improve the speed of drug design. It reduces time as well as total cost of the experiments. Potent cum suitable molecules are prepared after performing in silico drug design including CADD. Various applications like confirmation generation, homology modeling, multiple sequence alignment, molecular docking study, generation of Pharmacophores, virtual screening, de novo drug design, QSAR (Quantitative structure activity relationships) study, molecular modeling, in silico ADMET (Absorption, distribution, metabolism, excretion and toxicity) prediction of CADD has been implemented to design newer molecules. The current study focuses on different strategies cum approaches through computer aided drug designing applied to find potent, efficient and safe molecules in the field of drug discovery.
