Empirical equations were deducted for E from easily determinable rock properties, and the final model was selected through different statistical strength parameter tests. The generalization of the equation was verified through the normal distribution tests of residues of the equation. R2 came to be 0.609 and was validated using an artificial neural network with an improved value of 0.73
Cellular processes are the product of interactions between biomolecules, which associate to form ... more Cellular processes are the product of interactions between biomolecules, which associate to form biologically active complexes1. These interactions are mediated by intermolecular contacts, which if disrupted, lead to alterations in cell physiology. Nevertheless, the formation of intermolecular contacts nearly universally requires changes in the conformations of the interacting biomolecules. As a result, binding affinity and cellular activity crucially depend not only on the strength of the contacts, but also on the inherent propensities to form binding-competent conformational states2,3. Thus, conformational penalties are ubiquitous in biology and must be known in order to quantitatively model binding energetics for protein and nucleic acid interactions4,5. However, conceptual and technological limitations have hindered our ability to dissect and quantitatively measure how conformational propensities impact cellular activity. Here, we systematically altered and determined the propen...

A derivation of the contour profile to grinding wheel motion trajectory and also the grinding wheel motion trajectory to the contour profile equations has been performed. Due to the contours having a sinusoidal polynomial curve instead of a rose curve, the grinding wheel motion trajectory equation is then used to generate the NC code for the machining. The grinding wheel motion trajectory equation is needed for the synthesis of the profile error caused by the motion error as well as the variation of the grinding wheel diameter. The two-axis motion equation is obtained by transforming the non-circular contour equation through the coordinates of the grinding wheel and workpiece. The influence of different machining parameters such as grinding wheel outer diameter error, grinding wheel...

Specifically, the IMR is required to construct a map when it has landed on an unexplored floor of a building. We had implemented the e-SLAM (exploration-based SLAM) using the coordinate transformation and the navigation prediction techniques to achieve that purpose in the engineering school building which consists of many 100-m2 labs, corridors, elevator waiting space and the lobby. We first derive the LiDAR mesh for the orthogonal walls and filter out the static furniture and dynamic humans in the same space as the IMR. Then, we define the LiDAR pose frame including the translation and rotation from the orthogonal walls. According to the MSC (most significant corner) obtained from the intersection of the orthogonal walls, we calculate the displacement of the IMR. The orientation of the IMR is cal...

These systems are designed to minimize accidents by addressing the main causes of collisions: driving error, distraction and drowsiness. In this work the authors present a system which has the potential to reduce fatalities which are caused by the common type of crashes called the Run –Off-Road (ROR) crash. The work is to build a lane Departure Warning System for use on roads and highways. The functioning of the system will be to constantly monitor the car placement in relation to the road marks (with the aid of infrared proximity sensor), detect when the driver drifts away from the current lane without an appropriate warn signal, and provide a quick and effective alert to the driver to take a corrective action. To provide an alert system to trigger the quickest response possible. So the aim of ...

In earlier days, the power factor correction was done by using the capacitive bank which was done manually [1]. The automated power factor corrector (APFC) using capacitive load bank is helpful in the power factor correction. The Proposed automated project includes measuring the power factor value from the load by using microcontroller. The design of this auto-adjustable power factor correction is to ensure that the entire power system always preserving unity power factor. The software and hardware needed to adjust the desired automatic power factor correction scheme are explained and its operation is described. APFC helps us to correct the power factor which helps to improve the efficiency.

So early detection is very important to diagnose cancer, reduce the number of deaths due to cancer, and distinguish between the different stages in cancer. Prognosis results in the recurrence of breast cancer in patients with surgically removed cancer whereas diagnosis distinguishes benign breast lumps from malignant tumor. This research work proposes a novel approach of breast cancer prediction based on data mining techniques, fuzzy logic, and inference systems. A predictive mining system has been proposed considering fuzzy inference system and experiments are established on clinical dataset. Experimental results show that the proposed method performs better than existing classical classification approaches such as nave based, LWL, Logitboost, REP Tree, etc.

Many methods are proposed to carry out the analysis. In a country like India medical facility is not available in many rural areas due to the lack of doctors or hospital facilities. Therefore the people don’t get the proper medication rather the fake doctors (quarks) gave them wrong medications. This is a big problem for the rural areas of many countries including India. However due to the rapid growth of internet and mobile phones, people in rural areas are accessing the internet regularly and habituated to the use of it. Therefore if an interactive medical system is given to them in the form of apps they can use it easily. In this research work a graph model based system is proposed where the people can give simple symptoms to diagnose their diseases. A hierarchical graph named as “Hierarchy Graph for Disease Identification” (HGDI) is proposed for this purpose. This could be implemented in apps /software for real life usage.

It assesses the potential for trade related conflict between Developed and Developing countries arising out of Unilateral Environmental Action (UEA). Furthermore it analyses the concept of Mutual Recognition (MR) and Mutual Recognition Agreements (MRAs) to understand how the inherent characteristics may potentially be utilized to reduce friction in international trade while implementing standards. The thesis also looks at the WTO compatibility of environmental standards, UEAs and MRAs. It uses a “Black Letter” methodology of doctrinal analysis, concentrating on doctrinal principles associated with the transnational governance of environmental standards and includes the analysis of statutes and cases of the WTO.

In general, sand is used as a standard stowing material in most of the underground coal mines in India. But now-a-days, sand is being excessively used in construction industry, whereas its replenishment is very slow. Thus, the study's significance is to identify alternate material for stowing which can replace sand. The aim of the study is to find the suitability of bottom ash as stowing material with and without addition of settling agent. Potassium aluminium sulphate [K2(SO4).Al2(SO4)3·24H2O] is used as the settling agent. Different experiments are conducted for physical and drainage characterization of bottom ash. A prototype for simulating stowing operation in the laboratory is fabricated and the efficacy of the bottom ash with and without addition of settling agent is calculated by conducting various experiments. The experiments have been carried out using different percentages (i.e. 2%, 4%, 6%, and 8%) of settling agents. Bottom ash-water slurry at 50% concentration (by weight) with addition of 4% settling agent (by weight of solid) has found to be most effective for stowing operations based on faster percolation, quick settlement and good permeability characteristics. Load-bearing capacity test of the filled solid after stowing is carried out to find the empirical equation to predict the percentage of settlement with respect to in situ stress for particular range of depths. Settlement percentage of the stowed bottom ash is found to be in the range of 10.34–12.71% for the depth of 50–90 m.

However, determining ensembles is challenging because the information required to specify atomic structures for thousands of conformations far exceeds that of experimental measurements. We addressed this data gap and dramatically simplified and accelerated RNA ensemble determination by using structure prediction tools that leverage the growing database of RNA structures to generate a conformation library. Refinement of this library with NMR residual dipolar couplings provided an atomistic ensemble model for HIV-1 TAR, and the model accuracy was independently supported by comparisons to quantum-mechanical calculations of NMR chemical shifts, comparison to a crystal structure of a substate, and through designed ensemble redistribution via atomic mutagenesis. Applications to TAR bulge variants and more complex tertiary RNAs support the generality of this approach and the potential to make the determination of atomic-resolution RNA ensembles routine.
