These skills and strategies should be given emphasis when teaching reading in schools in order for us to help students develop critical reading skills. Therefore, it is vital for us to understand the theoretical concept of what is meant by these three terms and why is it so important for teachers to adopt them when teaching reading to students. It is hoped that at the end of the discussion, we could see the correlation between reading skills, reading strategies, and metacognitive skills and strategies in our objective to develop critical readers among students in schools. Reading skills, reading strategies, and metacognitive skills and strategies are not to be taught in isolation. Educators who are creative and innovative usually are not afraid to take the risks in trying out the many possible methods in teaching. They will always find new ideas, approaches or actions in order to make their lessons interesting, meaningful and beneficial. This is important because as educators we cannot be passive, orthodox and pessimistic in accepting new ideas. Innovation and creativity are crucial in teaching because they are interrelated. Both are needed to be implemented in the teaching and learning process because through these two concepts we can develop human capital as intended and stated in most curriculum. Objectives: There are many innovations in teaching methodologies that we can adopt and adapt. In this paper we are going to look at a methodology using Reader's Theatre in a law classroom to discuss and understand the judicial decisions (court case). A law lecturer collaborates with an English Language lecturer to help the law students understand better when discussing the judicial court case. This study has been carried out among the foundation law students at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Kuantan campus. Results: The findings indicated that the students responded very well to this new methodology when discussing the court case. The students when asked said that they like the Reader's Theatre activity where it could help them understand better the content of the judicial court case and thus, it promotes and motivates them reading the case. Not only the students are able to understand the judicial court case, Reader's Theatre also helps students to be more fluent in using the English Language. Conclusion: This collaborative effort between the two lecturers has proven that they could develop a creative and innovative teaching methodology across the disciplines.

The problem relating to heresy needs to be urgently addressed as it directly affects Islamic theology and Muslims. Although Malaysia has witnessed a rapid development in the field of Islamic understanding and da'wah missionary among the Muslim community, the heretic movement is still rampant. This scenario has raised questions on factors that contribute to the movement of heresy among the Muslim community. These questions encourage the researcher into researching the subject in order to come forward with answers and solutions. In order to arrive at the answers, the researcher has conducted a research by adopting two research methods namely library research and field work research. For library research, past literature and relevant views about the issue of cultism were collected. The field work research involves observations and surveys is done through interviews. The facts and relevant information are obtained directly from the people concerned and also from the current situations of Muslim society. All data is analyzed inductively and deductively to expose the important factors that contribute to the movement of heresy in Malaysia, as well as the solutions and actions taken to combat this problem successfully. The result of this research proves that there are seven factors which contribute to the development of heresy in Malaysia. They are the weakness of enforcement of law, the weakness of Islamic studies curriculum, the influences of western culture, negative contents in mass media, ancient belief, the characteristicof the cults and the weakening of Islamic values.

We have conducted an action research on one of the Foundation Law groups at UiTM Kuantan campus, where we have adopted and implemented Reader’s Theatre to promote reading the judicial decisions (court case) among the students in the group so that they could develop the interest in reading the text. The court case text is just like a play-like script and the students could perform the Reader’s Theatre activity based on the characters in the text. After conducting the Reader’s Theatre activity among the students, we distributed questionnaires to justify our action research. The findings we have gathered are that the students are very much interested in the Reader’s Theatre activity and they have enjoyed reading the text given. They have also understood the case better. Most importantly, we could see that by utilizing Reader’s Theatre the students are also able to use the language effectively and authentically. The lecturer could not only help the students on the correct pronunciation of the words but also explain further on the case discussed and elaborate more on the abbreviations used and meaning of the words in the text. The teaching and learning process of the judicial decisions (court case) is more meaningful here with the help of the Reader’s Theatre activity. Students enjoy the lesson more as compared to not having the Reader’s Theatre activity. In addition, this could definitely not only promote reading the judicial decisions (court case) among the Foundation Law students of UiTM Kuantan but they could comprehend the court case better.
