In the clinical approach to disability, the psychological development difficulties of the subject... more In the clinical approach to disability, the psychological development difficulties of the subjects are considerable. They result in weaknesses of the system of representation and the emergence of affects that are often unbearable for the psyche. Faced with this clinical approach, the therapists must not only take into account these characteristics, but also know how to adjust them to allow the therapeutic process to happen. Ahead of the deployment of thought, powerful defense mechanisms often impede the subject in its expressive capabilities, psychological development, and symbolization. Also, a number of prerequisites are necessary in terms of internal security and sense of continuity of existence. These data are particularly active and present in the definition of the setting and the ensuing psychotherapeutic effectiveness. ABSTRACT While anthropology shows that birth is primarily a community event, now parents find the... more ABSTRACT While anthropology shows that birth is primarily a community event, now parents find themselves more and more deeply alone and helpless in front of their baby. This is the subject of ongoing research that attempts to assess postnatal effects of family isolation of parents on the baby's mental life during his first year. In the clinical case here illustrates this "new solitude" of parents, internet forums trying to relay low family support as anxieties, although legitimate around birth, persist when the baby grows. Beyond the problems of maternal postpartum depression, the focus is on the actual site that takes the environment as a support of the intrapsychic processes specific to the construction of parenthood.
