An anonymous, self-administered questionnaire was sent to 640 PuU and 660 PrU students in Google Form between 25th September and 22nd November 2021, which resulted in the participation of 1034 (461 PuU vs. 573 PrU) respondents (response rate: 72.03% vs. 86.81%). The pooled vaccine acceptance rates among PuU and PrU students were almost similar (88.1%, 95% CI 85.1─91.1 vs. 87.6%, 95% CI 84.6─90.6). Employing binary logistic regression to assess the association between various potential factors and vaccine acceptance, the study revealed that out of 10 predictors, "safety" and "efficacy" had highly significant positive associations with vaccine acceptance in both cohorts (p=0.000 ,p=0.005). "Political roles" was found to have varied effects─ a significant (p=0.02) negative and a significant positive (p=0.002) association with vaccine acceptance in PuU and PrU students, respectively. Additionally, "communication" (p=0.003) and "trust" (p=0.01) were found to have significant positive associations in PrU students while "rumors" (p=0.03) had negative association in PuU students. The odds of accepting the COVID-19 vaccine were 1.5 vs. 0.9 in PuU and PrU students. Although chi-square analysis did not show any significant association between gender and vaccine acceptance, discrepancies were found in the factors that potentially affect vaccine uptake decision between PuU and PrU students. COVID-19 vaccine uptake may be improved if vaccine-related information becomes available and is communicated to large numbers of people effectively. The implementation of multidisciplinary interventional educational programs may also be considered as a preferred approach to improve student's engagement in pandemic awareness and vaccine readiness.

The two most common radiolabelled pharmaceutical agents used are Tc99m-MAG3 (MAG3 is also called mercaptoacetyltriglycine) and Tc-99m-DTPA (diethylenetriaminepentacetate). Tc-99m-DTPA is filtered by the glomerulus and used to measure the glomerular filtration rate and is the second most commonly used renal radiopharmaceutical, primarily because it is the least expensive. The main objective of the present study was to obtain the bio-kinetic data of organ activity as well as organ absorbed dose of Tc99m-DTPA for single photon emitters. Methods: We have carried out a method to obtain accurate organ activity with single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT). Tc-99m-DTPA radiopharmaceutical medicine was used as single photon emitters and we have demonstrated effective decay method and conventional method to obtain accurate organ (seven) activity with single photon emission computed SPECT. The observed organ activity is due to the Tc99m-DTPA is obtained and the data is compared among male, female and ICRP (international committee for radiation protection)-53 recommended data as well. Results: The outcome of study revealed that, dose absorbed power of male is greater than female, so in nuclear medicine centre absorbed doses should be estimated separately both for male and female for more proper treatment opportunity. It is also observed that there is no good agreement of absorbed dose values among male, female and ICRP-53 recommended data. Conclusions: Our achieved result is due to the extreme variation in food values and fundamental needed elements are certainly different between Bangladeshi peoples and foreigners. In case of foreigner's it is almost equal for male and female, whereas for Bangladeshi male and female it is certainly different.

The mushroom varieties were harvested and dried, then taken to the laboratory for proximate and mineral analysis by standard assay methods. For both mushrooms the nutritional composition was analyzed namely pH, moisture content, crude fibre, ash, water soluble protein, total lipid, total soluble sugar, reducing sugar, non-reducing sugar and starch content. However ten mineral elements were analyzed: potassium, calcium, magnesium, sodium, phosphorus, sulfur, cupper, iron, manganese and zinc having no significance difference in values of both mushroom species. Based on the result these mushrooms have high nutrient potentials hence it will serve as a good means of reducing the incidence and high prevalence of malnutrition in Bangladesh since it is a cheap food source that is within the reach of the poor.

(MBF) was evaluated for the safety along with neuropharmacological activity by using OECD guidelines, y-maze, elevated plus-maze and open field test respectively. Mortality, sign of any toxicity or behavioral changes were not noticed up to the dose as high as 4000mg/kg. Moreover, in y-maze test, MBF 200 mg/kg and MBF 400 mg/kg exhibited anti-depressive and depressive activities. Again, every extract including both lower and higher doses elicited depressive, antidepressive and anxiolytic activities in elevated plus maze test. Later, in open field test, significant (p<0.05, vs. control) CNS depressive activities were found by both MBF 200 mg/kg and MBF 400 mg/kg. The results obtained in the present study demonstrated that MBF can be the possible sources of CNS depressant, antidepressant and anxiolytic agents. But further investigation is needed for the identification of the active compounds as well as confirmati...

(Sonneratiaceae) were screened for its analgesic and antidiarrhoeal activities. The different fraction of crude extract was obtained by using four different solvent systems. The different fractions of crude extract produced significant writhing inhibition in acetic acid induced writhing in mice at dose of 250 and 500mg/kg BW comparable to the standard drug diclofenac sodium at the dose of 25mg/kg BW. When tested for its antidiarrhoeal effects on castor oil induced diarrhea in mice, it increased mean latent period and decreased the frequency of defecation significantly at the dose of 250 and 500mg/kg BW comparable to the standard drug loperamide at the dose of 50mg/kg BW. The overall results tend to suggest the analgesic and antidiarrhoeal activities of the different fractions of crude extract. Both ethyl acetate fraction of stem and chloroform fraction of leaf have significant analgesic activi...

Research paper thumbnail of Dissimilarity of absorbing internal radiation dose of 99mTc- diethylenetriaminepentacetate among male, female and international committee for radiation protection - 53 recommended data

International Journal of Basic and Clinical Pharmacology, 2016
