Autism is a prevalent developmental disorder that affects children as a whole, including barriers... more Autism is a prevalent developmental disorder that affects children as a whole, including barriers from the cognitive, language, behavior, and interaction areas, of course, these conditions will affect children's development both physically and mentally, to improve children's development until adolescence and even children can be stand alone required therapeutic methods and good parenting from parents. The method used in this research is the literature review method, which includes data analysis in a way that reviews and summarizes journal articles related to the topic of research discussion. The result is that parents do have a big enough influence on improving the behavior development of children with autism. There are 2 methods of therapy that parents can do to improve the development of autistic children, namely imitation therapy and modeling therapy methods.
