The effective supplementary preventative measures must be implemented during the building stage o... more The effective supplementary preventative measures must be implemented during the building stage of base structures due to rebar corrosion. In the current research work more than five experiments are conducted to assess the performance of high yield strength steel bars, both with and without protective coating. Bond strength and adhesion tests are used to evaluate the efficiency of corrosion resistant qualities of 10 μm, 20 μm, and 30 μm coated steel over a period of time. The obtained result shows that the coating is stable. Finally, it is determined that the investigated EN plated rebars, regardless of coating thickness, have the desired corrosion resistance qualities required to meet Indian and ASTM standards. And it is fit for construction in coastal and other areas.

Moreover, road accidents in the city have been nonstop and to bar the loss of life due to the accidents is even more crucial. To implement this, we introduce a scheme called Smart city ambulance system using shortest path finding algorithm and traffic signals. The main theme behind this scheme is to provide a smooth flow for the ambulance to reach the hospitals in time and thus minifying the expiration. The ambulance driver will send the request to control room. After receiving the request from control room then the ambulance is controlled by the control room which furnishes the most scant route to the ambulance and also controls the traffic light according to the ambulance location and thus reaching the hospital safely. Abstract Pure and La3+ doped single crystals of l -arginine acetate (LAA) have been grown well fr... more Abstract Pure and La3+ doped single crystals of l -arginine acetate (LAA) have been grown well from through slow evaporation method in aqueous environment. The Crystalline nature can be confirmed by powder X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) Analysis. The function groups with possible stretching/bonding were identified through FTIR (Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy) and Fourier Transform Raman Spectroscopy (FT-Raman) analysis. The good optical properties of La3+ doped LAA crystals were found through UV–Visible spectral analysis. Nonlinear optical (NLO) behavior through Kurtz’s method reveals that the dopant has increased the efficiency. Further, grown crystals has examined for thermal (TGA, DTA), mechanical (Vicker’s), dielectric (LCR) and photo conductive (picoammeter) properties enhanced with La3+ dopant and the results are interpreted and discussed.

The experimental data have been used to calculate the further thermo acoustical parameters such as adiabatic compressibility(), free length(L f), free volume(V f), internal pressure( i), acoustical impedance(Z), relative association(Ra), molar sound velocity (R) and molar compressibility (W) with Gibb's energy (∆G E)of activation. Analyzing dissymmetric molecules of semi-organic dyes doped thiourea barium chloride (TBC) single... more Analyzing dissymmetric molecules of semi-organic dyes doped thiourea barium chloride (TBC) single crystals for bettering the SHG frequency and utilizing it for NLO devices casting. Dyes doped TBC crystals were germinated using slow vaporization technique and it was transformed into single crystal using vapour diffusion method. Exemplifying the behavior of dyes doped TBC crystals were carried out using characterization techniques such as PXRD was taken to confirm lattice parameters and structure of grown crystals. The optical transmission of dyes doped TBC were characterized by UV–vis spectra. The functional groups of the compounds present in grown crystal were validated through FT-IR analysis. Vickers hardness number with yield strength and stiffness constant was examined using Vicker’s microhardness tester. The NLO and SHG studies were carried out for identifying optical behavior of dyes doped TBC crystals. The obtained results claims the doped TBC exhibit more efficiency than pure one.

Water pumping supply is the common pumping system worldwide. The main emphasis of this research s... more Water pumping supply is the common pumping system worldwide. The main emphasis of this research study is about assessment of the Selected Electric Connected Pumping Water Supply Projects in Gandaki Province. The operation cost of pumping water supply project becomes so high as compared to the gravity system because of electric power used in operation of water supply projects of Dunaikhola WSP, Syangja, Pragatinagar WSP, Nawalparashi, Bhadgaun WSP, Tanahu and Budhikhola WSP, Kaski of the Gandaki Province. Interviews, field observations and questionnaires method are used for collection of primary data and literature (publication report, auditing report, records and data) of national and international context are used for collection of secondary data. The present status of the projects helps to measure the Functionality Index of WUSC, productivity index of the project, operating ratio and lifecycle cost of the selected projects running through using electric power. For the study, it was found that the functionality index of the Bhadgaun and Pragatinagar WSPs was good and can be replicated in Budhikhola and Dunaikhola WSPs as well as other similar nature of the project. All selected project under study should be checked for feasibility of solar power conversion. The relative merits are discussed with various parameters and interpreted.

<jats:p>Kidney stone disease is a result of combination of food items consuming, drinking w... more <jats:p>Kidney stone disease is a result of combination of food items consuming, drinking water quality and genetic heritability, which has been observed to be more prone (both occurrence and recurrence) to certain geographic regimes as Thanjavur suburbs of Tamil Nadu in southern India. The research carried out involves collection of medical information of Kidneystone patients of the study area and survey of their dietary habits including drinking water quality (through laboratory study), selection of suitable classifier to model the Kidney stone recurrence with the most contributing of 22 parameters (with due model evaluation). Weka (3.8.1) machine learning framework was used for the study, for evaluating the model accuracy of 66 classifiers, resulting 22 classifiers with accuracy higher than ZeroR, which was considered to be the benchmark. Based on this study, C-4.5 classifier (called J48 in Weka) was found to be most robust classifier, based on accuracy, precision, Recall, <jats:italic>F</jats:italic>-Measure, MCC, ROC Area and PRC Area. The selected classifiers were again evaluated based on domain conformance (namely, literature, logic and consistency) to obtain four validated classifiers, thereby providing seven parameters and their threshold value for kidney stone recurrence, namely, family history (Yes), Sulphate (&gt;17ppm), potassium (&gt;74 ppm), nitrate (&gt;1.2 ppm), salinity (&gt;120 ppm), conductivity (&lt;=289 ppm) and water consumption (moderate).</jats:p>

Pure and bismuth doped zinc oxide thin films were grown by spray pyrolysis and they subjected to ... more Pure and bismuth doped zinc oxide thin films were grown by spray pyrolysis and they subjected to spectral and optical analysis. The surface morphology measurement of HR-SEM and HR-TEM images show nano flower shaped structure is observed by Bismuth. Zinc oxide thin films, the EDX analysis confirms that Zn, Bi and O present in thin films. XRD analysis reveals that as synthesized films polycrystalline wurtzite structure (Zincite), are and doped materials are present was done and average crystalline size (26 nm and 19 nm) was calculated by Scherer’s formula. The PL analysis from doped thin film decreased intensity appear high efficiency was discussed. The optical study of UV–Vis DRS identify ZnO thin film increased band gab decreased from 3.32 eV to 3.20 eV and the efficiency increases from 5.6 mA/cm 2 to 7.00 mA/cm 2 respectively. And the doped thin films this result identifies decreased band gab energy high efficiency of catalytic and electrochemical application of (DSSCs) was done.

Electrospinning of dispersions with higher viscosity and limited flow may be carried out, based o... more Electrospinning of dispersions with higher viscosity and limited flow may be carried out, based on the solvent assisted coaxial technique, where the flow of the core dispersion is supported by a free flowing sheath solvent. In the present work, the sheath solvents used are chloroform, toluene and dimethyl formamide and we discuss the fiber formation of Poly Methyl Methacrylate (PMMA) (dispersion-25 wt%). PMMA dispersed in chloroform is taken as the core solution and the sheath is pure solvent. The In-Situ effect of different sheath solvents in fiber formation at two different tip to collector distances are studied. The fibers formed are subjected to SEM analysis and the characteristics are analysed. The fiber formation of high viscos polymer dispersions makes the same materials subjectable to electrospinning and further applications.

Construction of the structure is not adequate requires consciousness towards it. The application of the concept of sustainable construction using Building Information Modeling can be a healthier solution on earth. This paper aims to study the residential building to enhance sustainability by inducing sustainable energy concept using Auto desk Revit which includes parameters such as, carbon emission, fuel consumption, monthly heating and cooling load to meet the energy requirement for today without disturbing the environment and reusing it again. The 2D plan of the building is created using AutoCAD software. The sketch up software is used for building 3D modelling and it has been rendered to Autodesk Revit. As Revit is simple in application which includes the features for architecture, mechanical, electrical and plumbing in construction. Building information modelling (BIM) is used to model design with precision, adequate performance. The application of the BIM helps in conceptualization and analysis with substantial results which will provide benefit on Global environment, economic benefits and also human health. Using BIM the performance of the conventional building and energy building is compared.

Concrete can be successfully made with demolition waste with up to 35% of substitution for coarse... more Concrete can be successfully made with demolition waste with up to 35% of substitution for coarse aggregates. To improve the performance of demolition waste concrete, microorganisms are applied over the concrete during the casting stage. This investigative research project explores the study of partial substitution of coarse aggregates with varying percentages of demolition waste aggregate (0%, 25%, 50%, 75% and 100%). Bacillus subtilis (1%, 2%, and 3%) by the weight of cement is mixed with water and added to green concrete to accelerate the performance. Various mechanical properties of all concrete specimens are studied with and without bacterial action to determine the optimal bio-mineralization percentage of augmentation which is determined as 20% with respect to conventional Concrete. Three beams are cast with optimum percentages of demolition waste and selected microorganism. The flexural behavior of the beams is discussed based on the load–deflection, stress and strain patterns. The experimental results are validated with the use of the Finite element Software Abaqus (Student version) with respect to simulation of mid-span deflection and its value for the beam with 25% demolition waste and 2% bacteria is found to be 0.49 mm and the corresponding value in Abaqus is 0.477 mm. The maximum value of mid-span deflection for the beam with 50% demolition waste and 2% bacteria is found to be 0.47 mm and the corresponding value in Abaqus is 0.432 mm.

Recent studies from our lab indicated that APPH treatment had lipolysis stimulating activity and identified was an efficient anti-obesity diet ingredient. In this study we aim to investigate the beneficial effects of pure peptide amino acid sequences (DIKTNKPVIF (DI) and IF) from APPH supplement in the regulation of cardiac hypertrophy and fibrosis on spontaneously hypertensive rats (SHR). We examined hematoxylin and eosin staining, Masson's trichrome staining, echocardiographic parameters, serum parameters, hypertrophy, inflammation and fibrotic marker expression to demonstrate efficacy of bioactive peptides in a SHR model. There was a significant upregulation between SHR and bioactive peptides treated groups in left heart weight (LHW), LHW/WHW, LHW/ Tibia, LVIDd, and LVd mass. In addition, the bioactive peptides repress the protein expression of hypertrophy markers (BNP, MYH7), inflammation (TLR-4, p-NFkB, TNF-a, IL-6), and fibrotic markers (uPA, MMP-2, TIMP1, CTGF). In summary, these results indicate that DI and IF bioactive peptides from APPH attenuate cardiac hypertrophy, inflammation and fibrosis in the SHR model.

<jats:p>Kidney stone disease is a result of combination of food items consuming, drinking w... more <jats:p>Kidney stone disease is a result of combination of food items consuming, drinking water quality and genetic heritability, which has been observed to be more prone (both occurrence and recurrence) to certain geographic regimes as Thanjavur suburbs of Tamil Nadu in southern India. The research carried out involves collection of medical information of Kidneystone patients of the study area and survey of their dietary habits including drinking water quality (through laboratory study), selection of suitable classifier to model the Kidney stone recurrence with the most contributing of 22 parameters (with due model evaluation). Weka (3.8.1) machine learning framework was used for the study, for evaluating the model accuracy of 66 classifiers, resulting 22 classifiers with accuracy higher than ZeroR, which was considered to be the benchmark. Based on this study, C-4.5 classifier (called J48 in Weka) was found to be most robust classifier, based on accuracy, precision, Recall, <jats:italic>F</jats:italic>-Measure, MCC, ROC Area and PRC Area. The selected classifiers were again evaluated based on domain conformance (namely, literature, logic and consistency) to obtain four validated classifiers, thereby providing seven parameters and their threshold value for kidney stone recurrence, namely, family history (Yes), Sulphate (&gt;17ppm), potassium (&gt;74 ppm), nitrate (&gt;1.2 ppm), salinity (&gt;120 ppm), conductivity (&lt;=289 ppm) and water consumption (moderate).</jats:p>

The surface morphology measurement of HR-SEM and HR-TEM images show nano flower shaped structure is observed by Bismuth. Zinc oxide thin films, the EDX analysis confirms that Zn, Bi and O present in thin films. XRD analysis reveals that as synthesized films polycrystalline wurtzite structure (Zincite), are and doped materials are present was done and average crystalline size (26 nm and 19 nm) was calculated by Scherer’s formula. The PL analysis from doped thin film decreased intensity appear high efficiency was discussed. The optical study of UV–Vis DRS identify ZnO thin film increased band gab decreased from 3.32 eV to 3.20 eV and the efficiency increases from 5.6 mA/cm 2 to 7.00 mA/cm 2 respectively. And the doped thin films this result identifies decreased band gab energy high efficiency of catalytic and electrochemical application of (DSSCs) was done.

In the present work, the sheath solvents used are chloroform, toluene and dimethyl formamide and we discuss the fiber formation of Poly Methyl Methacrylate (PMMA) (dispersion-25 wt%). PMMA dispersed in chloroform is taken as the core solution and the sheath is pure solvent. The In-Situ effect of different sheath solvents in fiber formation at two different tip to collector distances are studied. The fibers formed are subjected to SEM analysis and the characteristics are analysed. The fiber formation of high viscos polymer dispersions makes the same materials subjectable to electrospinning and further applications.

The application of the concept of sustainable construction using Building Information Modeling can be a healthier solution on earth. This paper aims to study the residential building to enhance sustainability by inducing sustainable energy concept using Auto desk Revit which includes parameters such as, carbon emission, fuel consumption, monthly heating and cooling load to meet the energy requirement for today without disturbing the environment and reusing it again. The 2D plan of the building is created using AutoCAD software. The sketch up software is used for building 3D modelling and it has been rendered to Autodesk Revit. As Revit is simple in application which includes the features for architecture, mechanical, electrical and plumbing in construction. Building information modelling (BIM) is used to model design with precision, adequate performance. The application of the BIM helps in conceptualization and analysis with substantial results which will provide benefit on Global environment, economic benefits and also human health. Using BIM the performance of the conventional building and energy building is compared.

To improve the performance of demolition waste concrete, microorganisms are applied over the concrete during the casting stage. This investigative research project explores the study of partial substitution of coarse aggregates with varying percentages of demolition waste aggregate (0%, 25%, 50%, 75% and 100%). Bacillus subtilis (1%, 2%, and 3%) by the weight of cement is mixed with water and added to green concrete to accelerate the performance. Various mechanical properties of all concrete specimens are studied with and without bacterial action to determine the optimal bio-mineralization percentage of augmentation which is determined as 20% with respect to conventional Concrete. Three beams are cast with optimum percentages of demolition waste and selected microorganism. The flexural behavior of the beams is discussed based on the load–deflection, stress and strain patterns. The experimental results are validated with the use of the Finite element Software Abaqus (Student version) with respect to simulation of mid-span deflection and its value for the beam with 25% demolition waste and 2% bacteria is found to be 0.49 mm and the corresponding value in Abaqus is 0.477 mm. The maximum value of mid-span deflection for the beam with 50% demolition waste and 2% bacteria is found to be 0.47 mm and the corresponding value in Abaqus is 0.432 mm.

Recent studies from our lab indicated that APPH treatment had lipolysis stimulating activity and identified was an efficient anti-obesity diet ingredient. In this study we aim to investigate the beneficial effects of pure peptide amino acid sequences (DIKTNKPVIF (DI) and IF) from APPH supplement in the regulation of cardiac hypertrophy and fibrosis on spontaneously hypertensive rats (SHR). We examined hematoxylin and eosin staining, Masson's trichrome staining, echocardiographic parameters, serum parameters, hypertrophy, inflammation and fibrotic marker expression to demonstrate efficacy of bioactive peptides in a SHR model. There was a significant upregulation between SHR and bioactive peptides treated groups in left heart weight (LHW), LHW/WHW, LHW/ Tibia, LVIDd, and LVd mass. In addition, the bioactive peptides repress the protein expression of hypertrophy markers (BNP, MYH7), inflammation (TLR-4, p-NFkB, TNF-a, IL-6), and fibrotic markers (uPA, MMP-2, TIMP1, CTGF). In summary, these results indicate that DI and IF bioactive peptides from APPH attenuate cardiac hypertrophy, inflammation and fibrosis in the SHR model.
