Since bearings in high speed spindle units are the main source of heat generation. Friction in bearings causes an increase of the temperature inside the bearing. If the heat produced cannot be adequately removed from the bearing, the temperature might exceed a certain limit, and as a result the bearing would fail. To analyse the heat flow in a bearing system, a typical ball bearing and its environment has been modelled and analysed using the finite element method. The maximum temperature in the bearing has been calculated as a function of heat generation with the rotational speed as a parameter. The goal of this analysis was to see how fast the temperature changes in the bearing system with respect t...

Two sites were selected for waste water quality analysis. Assessment was carried from March to June. The analysis were done at laboratory using standard Method. Parameter selected for the assessment were pH, turbidity, Electrical conductivity, Dissolved oxygen and Biological oxygen demand (BOD) at all the sampling sites all the parameter were at the pollutants exceeding the pollution limits. The value of pH, Turbidity, EC, DO and BOD ranges from 6.05 to 6.85, 6.55 NTU to 13.00 NTU, 0.008 to 2.00, 12mg/l to 22mg/l, 6.00 to 9.00 mg/l and total area required for waste stabilization ponds were 799.4 m2.

Subset image was created from the mosaic image from which drainage network within the river was generated. Further, utilizing the drainage network image, morphometric parameters such as stream length, bifurcation ratio, stream order, watershed length, area, drainage density and shape were calculated. The land use/ land cover maps of the study area were prepared for 5th different time periods viz., 1951, 1973, 1989, 2001, and 2009. The land use/ land cover map for 1951 was generated from Survey of India toposheets at 1:250000 scale while as the land use/ land cover map for 1973LANDLAT-MSS, TM1989, ETM2001 and L-4-5 TM was generated from LANDSAT-MSS TM, ETM through the method of digitization in ArcGIS3.2a GIS software. The generated land use/ land cover maps of the five different tim...

Study to identify the constraints in water delivery from canal and develop performance indicators... more Study to identify the constraints in water delivery from canal and develop performance indicators from the point of view of water users and canal managers in India reflects that there are multi-dimensional problems like technical, socioeconomic , hydraulic, managerial, institutional and financial related to water release, allocation, distribution and utilisation in canal command and lack of frequent communication and dialogue among water users and canal managers. The major reported by the water users was mismatch/wide gap between water supply and demand leading to water stress conditions either due to

The present study aims to evolve the dynamic response of a catchment to any rain fall using Geomorphological features of the catchment with the use of satellite imaginary all the Geomorphological details of any catchment can be easily obtained.

Solar powered pumps save potentially hours of labor daily in rural off-grid areas where water routing in traditionally done by hand by woman. They are durable and immune to fuel shortage and in the mediumto-long-term costs less than traditional diesel powered generators (e.g. Kohle et al. 2002). Automated Drip Irrigation System provides a sustainable solution to workmanship that is needed for flooding irrigation. The use of this photo-irrigation system will be able to contribute to the socioeconomic development. It is the proposed solution for the energy crisis for the Indian farmers. This system conserves electricity by reducing the usage of grid power and easy to implement and environment friendly solution for irrigation fields.
